Event Barkeeper

Event Barkeeper is a mobile cocktail catering service that brings its own bar, bartenders, drinks and glasses to events anywhere in Switzerland, and it names weddings alongside company events, trade fairs, birthdays and Christmas parties. Its motto is "WE LIVE COCKTAILS", it says it has supported more than 400 events, and it does not charge for travel, wherever in the country the event takes place. Next to the bar it rents a candy bar and runs a frozen yogurt service, both of which suit a wedding.
The cocktail catering
The homepage describes an all-round service: the team sets up and takes down the mobile cocktail bar and handles all the bar drinks, and the bar is designed around the team's own workflow so that larger numbers of guests can be served quickly. For weddings the page promises, in its own words, "Wir sorgen dafür, dass es am schönsten Tag deines Lebens die besten Cocktails gibt" (we make sure there are the best cocktails on the most beautiful day of your life).
The packages are all-inclusive, according to the page. The business brings everything with it, including the bar itself, and the only thing it asks of the venue is a normal power socket near the spot where the bar will stand. The FAQ adds that glasses are part of what it calls its all-round, no-worries packages: it brings suitable glasses in sufficient quantity and takes the dirty ones away again, so the venue does not have to wash up after the bar.
The team arrives before the guests to set up and prepare, and the FAQ says this usually takes less than 60 minutes. Takedown happens directly after the service ends, on the same evening, once the guests have gone.
The team page speaks of flexibility, know-how and what it calls first-class working show effects, meaning the bartenders put on a bit of a show while mixing rather than just pouring.
Choosing the drinks
Couples can choose the cocktails. The FAQ says the business has a broad selection of classic and modern cocktails and puts together a selection with the client to suit the event and the guests. Alcohol-free options are part of the range.
The personalized bar menu is something the business calls one of its specialties. For each event it creates an individual menu, and it can print a logo, a name or a motto on the cover; for a wedding the FAQ mentions matching the menu to the motto of the wedding. The page says this cover always goes down well with guests, and a printed menu with the couple's names is an easy detail to add.
Size, area and response time
The FAQ says packages start from 25 people and that there is hardly an upper limit: the business has experience with large events of up to 7'500 people and adapts its team and equipment accordingly. A small wedding and a very large one are both within what it describes.
On area, the FAQ is direct: "Egal ob Zürich, Bern, Genf oder im abgelegensten Bergtal" (whether Zurich, Bern, Geneva or the most remote mountain valley), the team comes to the event location, with no travel charge. For couples marrying at a mountain venue or somewhere rural, that is a real advantage.
The business says it replies to every inquiry within 24 hours, and often within a few hours, with a tailored offer. On lead time the FAQ gives advice rather than a number: the earlier the better to secure a date, especially on popular dates in summer and around Christmas, although the team is flexible and can often handle short-notice requests.
Outdoor events are possible. The team is happy to mix in a garden, on a roof terrace or in a park, and if the weather is uncertain it recommends a roof or a tent over the bar area.
Candy bar and frozen yogurt
The candy bar is a one-off piece that can be rented with or without sweets, collected by the client or delivered. The page says it is especially suitable for weddings and offers decorations for it: candy jars in several sizes, 3-tier plate stands, balloons, Mr & Mrs letters, decorative hearts and a large basket. Sweets come from the business's own candy shop, from gummy bears to chocolate and popcorn, and the FAQ says couples can choose the sweets themselves. Standing tables with white covers can be added. The full price list is sent on request.
The frozen yogurt service lets guests build their own cup, with toppings that include fresh fruit such as strawberries or kiwi, sweet sauces and crunchy toppings such as chocolate sprinkles or cookie pieces. The machine also needs only a normal power socket, and for outdoor events in high summer the business recommends a shaded spot, since frozen yogurt is sensitive to heat.
What the site does not settle
The site publishes no prices for the cocktail catering; offers come after an inquiry through the form, which asks for name, date, number of guests, type of event, email, phone and a message. It does not say how long a standard service lasts or how many bartenders it sends for a given number of guests.
The page content is written in German. The site has a language menu listing many languages, but it does not say whether the bartenders work in English, which a couple with international guests should ask. Contact is by email at info@event-barkeeper.ch or by phone on +41 76 586 01 21, and the page does not give a street address.
Who it suits
Event Barkeeper suits couples anywhere in Switzerland who want a complete cocktail bar delivered, set up and cleared away without extra travel costs, and it is a particularly practical choice for a venue in the mountains or the countryside. The all-inclusive packages, the glasses taken away dirty and the single power socket requirement make it easy to add to a venue that has no bar. The candy bar and frozen yogurt let a couple book several stations from one supplier.
The caveats are the missing price guide and the unanswered language question. Couples marrying on a popular summer date should inquire early, as the business itself advises.
