The business is a collective, not a solo act. Its bio page says DJ-Event "a été créé par des passionnés de musique" and that it is "basés à Genève, avec des DJ & musiciens dans toute la suisse romande et france voisine," based in Geneva with DJs and musicians spread across French-speaking Switzerland and neighbouring France. The footer running across every page, "© 2017 DJ-EVENT - DJ SAX.CH - DJ-MARIAGES.CH - DJ GENEVE - DJ LAUSANNE - SUISSE," names the same 3 domains everywhere: this operator also runs djsax.ch and dj-mariages.ch, and its own MARIAGES and DJ & MUSICIENS pages point a couple straight at those two siblings rather than making the wedding or live-music case here. That's worth knowing before treating dj-event.ch as the whole story on either of those services.

Work down the tariffs page and the tiers separate by what's actually included, not just by price. A private party (SOIREE PRIVEE) starts at CHF 1'000 for a DJ with a complete sound and light rig and one planning meeting. A corporate night (SOIREE D'ENTREPRISE) adds wireless microphones and extra ambience lighting for CHF 1'150. Bring a saxophonist into the DJ booth (SOIREE DJ & SAX) and the floor moves to CHF 1'850. That FORFAIT MARIAGE runs from the aperitif through the meal to the evening dance, not the vows themselves, which the page never mentions at all. Inside the forfait itself, the price still splits 3 ways: CHF 1'450 for DJ only, CHF 2'000 if the saxophonist plays the aperitif, and CHF 2'300 if he plays the whole event. A catalogue dated to the 60s, and not much else pinned down

DJ-Event's FAQ answers 7 questions in one line apiece, which tells a couple less than it first looks like. On repertoire, the site says: "Notre catalogue est vaste et comprend la plupart des titres connus des années 60 à nos jours avec les dernières nouveautés," a catalogue running from the 60s to now, kept current with new releases, with no stated exclusions and no genre the DJs say they won't play. On sound and lighting the FAQ answers stay proportional rather than technical: a poorly matched or badly installed sound system is called out as the real risk, and the light show is framed as necessary for the dance floor, "sans lui, tout reste fade," without a single model name or wattage figure attached. 2 of the 7 lines describe the working relationship rather than the show: DJ-Event says it follows a couple through "chaque étape de la préparation" and is "à votre disposition avant et pendant l'événement," available before and during, without spelling out what that availability actually covers on the day.

The most concrete FAQ answer is about venues, not music: "Depuis de nombreuses années nous parcourons les hôtels et différents lieux de réception." The regional pages back that claim with 2 long, named lists rather than leaving it as a boast. Around Geneva that means Château de Penthes, Château du Crest, and hotels including the Mandarin Oriental (named official supplier for 2016 through 2019), Le Richemond (2018 and 2019), the Beau-Rivage and the Kempinski. Around Lausanne it's the Beau-Rivage Palace, the Lausanne Palace, Les Trois Couronnes in Vevey and the Mövenpick Lausanne, among others. A corporate client list runs alongside both: IWC, Procter & Gamble, Shiseido, Banque Pictet, Lacoste. None of it is wedding-specific and only the 2 hotel-supplier spans carry a date, but it's a real trail a couple could check rather than a bare claim to take on faith.

A cocktail truck and a guesthouse in the Luberon, if music alone isn't the ask

BAR EVENEMENTIEL offers "le 'Clémentine Truck'" or a traditional bar, staffed by "des barmen passionnés," through a named partner, "Bornand liquor." LIEU MAGIQUE goes further still: a guesthouse it calls a lieu magique "au coeur du Luberon," in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Provence, bookable "pour vos événements entre amis très privés jusqu'à 15 personnes." It's worth being precise about what that is: a small property in France, offered through the same team rather than run by them (the page links out to www.masdelaterre.fr for details), not a Swiss venue option. For a couple marrying in Switzerland it won't be the ceremony address, but it's a genuine example of the collective going past "simple mise à disposition d'un DJ" into event logistics, which is exactly the range the homepage claims and the tariffs page mostly proves with real prices.

French throughout, and one dated review that isn't from a wedding

Every page on dj-event.ch is in French. Nothing in its own sitemap points to an English version, and nothing quoted above mentions English-language service, an English-speaking DJ, or bilingual MC announcements. For an English-reading couple planning from abroad, that's a real gap the site simply doesn't address either way, and this write-up isn't going to assume competence the site never claims.

Contact itself is straightforward: a working form ("Message réceptionné !" on submission), a direct phone line and an email address, and a correspondence address at Route de Gouillon 14, care of a fiduciary firm, FIDU-loc Sàrl, in Saint-Gingolph on the Valais shore of Lake Geneva. The reviews page shows exactly one testimonial, and it isn't from a wedding: an EasyJet staff event dated 18.12.2025, signed by Fanny Ribot, whose title on the page reads "Cabin Services Operational Administrator" for GVA, the Geneva airport code, thanking the team for its professionalism and for "la qualité de votre prestation." It's recent enough to confirm the collective was still working under this name well after the copyright line in its own footer stopped moving past 2017. What a corporate testimonial can't do is stand in for a wedding one: there's no couple's name anywhere on the page, no venue, no line about a first dance or a reception.

Taken together, DJ-Event functions as the general-events front door of a 3-site operation: it hands the dedicated wedding pitch to dj-mariages.ch and the dedicated live-musician pitch to djsax.ch, while keeping the full spectrum's price tags on its own tariffs page. The middle ground the homepage promises turns out to be concrete rather than a slogan: the CHF 1'150 corporate tier's extra microphones and ambience lighting, the CHF 1'850 addition of a saxophonist to an ordinary party, and the wedding forfait's own 3-way split by how much of the day he plays. What a couple won't get from this specific domain is the wedding-specific detail, the venue photography, the couple testimonials, that its own navigation says live one click away on the sibling site.
