La Vie en Live

Tap a star to rate

La Vie en Live is the music business of Sandy Leresche, a guitarist, singer and DJ working from canton Vaud across French-speaking Switzerland. He describes it as "une agence 100% musique" (a 100% music agency) that gives each part of an event its own soundtrack, and its particular feature is that Sandy also plays live: guitar and vocals in several styles, which can alternate or combine with a DJ set in the same evening. The site says he has been making music for more than 33 years and has played more than 1,000 events.

Six musical worlds

The site organizes the offer into what it calls "univers", each with its own page:

  • Dancefloor Live: funk, disco, pop and electro classics played live to get guests dancing and singing.
  • Blues Rock: American classics, blues standards and live rock for an evening with character.
  • Cocktail Acoustique: French chanson and international hits reworked acoustically, for the quieter moments.
  • Guitare Classique & Brassens: a tribute to Georges Brassens and the classical guitar, for a calm, gentle mood.
  • DJ Set: decks, lights and energy built around the couple's taste and their guests.
  • Sonorisation, lumières & Master of Ceremony: sound, stage lighting and hosting on the microphone for a turnkey evening.

The FAQ is explicit that live music and DJ sets can follow one another or be combined through the night, depending on the pace and the guests. For a wedding that could mean acoustic guitar and voice for the aperitif, the Brassens or classical set during dinner, and the live dancefloor set moving into DJing for the party, all from one performer.

Background

Sandy writes that music has been part of him since he was 13. His experience runs from festival stages to large hotels, and the site names the Lausanne Palace and the Fairmont Montreux Palace. The Vevey page adds weddings in the vineyards, company galas facing the lake and private parties in Riviera hotels. Testimonials mention festival work for the Bike Fest in Verbier, the Désalpe in Anzère, Morges-sous-Rire and the Fête de la Châtaigne, and FestiMusiques Moudon 2026. A company director writes that he played her staff party and that the 250 employees were delighted, and an inn owner says he has played there about ten times and was a hit every time. Several reviewers mention his own songs alongside covers and his interaction with the audience.

How a booking works

The home page sets out four steps. First, getting to know each other: the date, the place and the mood the couple wants. Second, building the soundtrack: a white list, a black list and the key moments, so that the music fits the couple completely. Third, preparing the day: a running order, technical coordination and a site visit, all settled well in advance. Fourth, the party itself, where Sandy handles setup, soundcheck and live adjustment, and the couple only has to dance. The FAQ adds that the first exchange can be by phone, email or WhatsApp, and that he then takes over all the technical and logistical planning, with the evening prepared hour by hour.

A turnkey booking, according to the FAQ, typically includes the musical preparation, the sound system, installation, the entertainment itself and teardown at the end, and can also include microphones for speeches, stage lighting and announcements.

The FAQ also gives couples its own checklist for choosing any DJ: a good DJ reads the room and adjusts in real time rather than waiting for the floor to empty, and couples should check experience with different kinds of events, the range of the repertoire, whether a personalized playlist is possible, and the references on offer. The Vevey page adds the quality of the equipment, a clear planning process and good communication beforehand.

Prices and timing

The site gives price guidance. The main FAQ says a couple should generally plan for between CHF 1'200 and CHF 3'000 for a complete wedding entertainment package including the music, installation and preparation before the event, with packages that combine DJ, live music and microphone hosting usually in the upper part of that range. The Vevey page says professional services for weddings, birthdays and private parties on the Riviera often start at around CHF 1'000 and can exceed CHF 2'500 for a full evening with sound and lighting, with the price depending on the length, the guest count and the equipment. For weddings and the busiest periods, the Vevey page advises booking six to twelve months ahead, noting that summer dates are in particular demand.

Where he plays

The site says he works from canton Vaud across French-speaking Switzerland, from the shores of Lake Geneva to the mountain resorts. It names Lausanne, Morges, Nyon, Vevey, Fribourg, Neuchâtel and the Gros-de-Vaud, and the resorts of Anzère, Villars, Loèche-les-Bains and Torgon. The Vevey page lists Montreux, La Tour-de-Peilz, Chardonne, Corsier-sur-Vevey, Blonay, Saint-Saphorin and Clarens. For anywhere outside the usual area, the FAQ says couples only need to ask.

What the site does not settle

The site is entirely in French and says nothing about English. A couple who do not speak French should ask early whether planning calls and any announcements on the day can be in English. The price ranges are guidance, not a rate card, so the actual figure comes from the first exchange; the site does not say what the travel cost is to a mountain resort, whether a deposit is required, or what the cancellation terms are. It also does not say whether other musicians ever join Sandy for a larger live line-up.

Who it suits

La Vie en Live suits couples marrying in Vaud, on the Lake Geneva shore, in Fribourg or Neuchâtel, or in one of the named mountain resorts, who want live guitar and vocals for part of the day and a DJ for the party without hiring two suppliers. The published budget range makes early planning easier. The caveats are the French-only site and the fact that live music comes from one performer, so couples wanting a full band sound should ask how the dancefloor live set is staged.
