music2people is the wedding and event DJ service of Markus Lutz, run through events2people gmbh from Lindenbergstrasse 1 in Hedingen, in the canton of Zurich. His wedding page opens with the statement that he has accompanied weddings as a DJ for many years, "hauptsächlich in der Schweiz" (mainly in Switzerland). Besides DJing, the site title advertises the hire of illuminated letters, and the menu separates weddings, corporate events and a decoration section. The page is written in German throughout.
The wedding DJ service
The wedding page is built around four short sections. The first sets out the aim: a repertoire, professional equipment and a manner of working designed to give each celebration the right musical frame. The second covers repertoire and technology. Markus writes that he picks up the crowd and has a feel for choosing the right track at the right moment, and that he keeps an eye on details beyond the music, including technical support when speeches are given. He works with discreet light and sound equipment that, in his words, blends unobtrusively into the setting.
The third section, on the preliminary meeting and moderation, is the one that tells a couple what kind of DJ this is. Planning starts with a free, no-obligation conversation about the couple's own ideas. He is happy to guide guests through the evening and to announce highlights, the buffet or speeches by guests. But he is explicit that "Die primäre Aufgabe eines DJ`s ist nicht ein Auftritt als Entertainer": the primary job of a DJ is not to perform as an entertainer. He keeps himself in the background and is there to round off the celebration.
The fourth section is about reliability. He says punctuality and keeping to agreed dates matter to him, that his experience lets him react to last-minute changes, and that if a change makes it necessary to swap the DJ or the equipment, he will arrange that too. The section ends with an "Open-end-Garantie": the couple decides how long the party runs. A booking starts with the "Offerte Anfordern" (request a quote) button.
What couples say
The page carries feedback from 9 couples and from 1 styled shoot, each tagged with the venue, all written in German. Several of them describe the same things: that he picks the right music for the moment, that the dance floor stayed full, and that he took the couple's own requests into account. A couple at Hotel Kulm on Pilatus praised the smooth cooperation and called the price "überaus fair", extremely fair. A couple at Hotel Vitznauerhof in Vitznau wrote that the guests danced for 7 hours and the floor was never empty.
Two entries are especially useful for a couple planning from abroad. Liz and Charlie, who married at the Grandhotel Zermatterhof in Zermatt, write that they booked him from the USA without ever having met him, that communication was easy, and that he used the playlist they had prepared while adding his own choices. Valentina and Andreas, at the Parkhotel in Vitznau, describe what happened when Markus fell ill shortly before their wedding: he found a replacement DJ at once, named Maurizio, and handled the arrangements himself despite being sick. That is the reliability promise from the fourth section, borne out by a client.
Where he has played
The portfolio names the weddings he has played at. In Switzerland they include the Boutique Hotel Villa Honegg in Ennetbürgen and the Grandhotel Zermatterhof, both labeled as destination weddings, the Hotel Vitznauerhof in Weggis on Lake Lucerne, the Hotel Engimatt in Zurich, the Hotel Krone in Gottlieben, the Panorama Resort & Spa in Feusisberg, the Hotel Marina in Lachen, the Parkhotel in Vitznau and Hotel Kulm on Pilatus, plus a styled shoot at Blumenland Meier in Kloten. Several German weddings appear as well: a barn wedding at Hofgut Maisenburg in Hayingen, a summer wedding at Restaurant Gourmet Berner in Stuttgart, and the Leuteneckerhof in Remseck am Neckar. The spread runs from the Zurich area to Lake Lucerne, eastern Switzerland and Zermatt, which is consistent with his statement that he works mainly in Switzerland.
Extras and the wider network
The site title advertises "Leuchtbuchstaben mieten", renting illuminated letters, and the menu has a "Deko Highlight" section, so the letters can sit alongside the DJ booking as decoration. The footer lists further services under the same company: events2people, kids2events, heiratsantrag-schweiz and hochzeitdeko-schweiz, the last two covering proposals and wedding decoration. The blog, written by events2people gmbh, profiles Danny's Mobile Bar, a mobile cocktail bar run by Daniel "Danny" Kirner that travels to weddings, birthdays and corporate events and serves cocktails, alcohol-free mocktails and "Poptails" (frozen cocktails on a stick). The blog presents the bar as a recommendation; it does not say that music2people sells or runs it. Other blog titles cover weddings at the Design Hotel Giardino Lago in Locarno and at Ristorante Vetta on Monte Brè.
What the site does not settle
The site publishes no prices or hourly rates, so every booking goes through a quote. It does not explain how the open-end guarantee is charged: whether the fee is fixed regardless of how late the party runs, or calculated on the hours actually played. It does not state travel charges or a service area beyond working mainly in Switzerland, which matters for a venue in Ticino or the Valais. It gives no information on deposits or cancellation.
Language is the main open question for a couple from abroad. The site is published only in German and does not say which languages Markus speaks or moderates in. The Zermatt couple booked him from the USA and describe the communication as easy, but their feedback appears in German on the page and does not name the language they used. A couple who want announcements in English should ask directly. It is also worth asking for the size of the sound and light setup and whether the venue needs to provide anything, since the page describes the equipment only as discreet and professional.
Who it suits
music2people suits couples who want a DJ who stays out of the spotlight, handles the practical announcements and speeches, and builds the evening around their own playlist. The list of venues shows he is used to lake hotels around Lucerne, venues near Zurich and a mountain resort like Zermatt, and the replacement arrangement in the Vitznau feedback shows how he handles a problem. The German-only site and the absence of prices are the caveats. Couples who want an MC-style entertainer to run games and keep the microphone busy should look at his own description: that is not how he works.
