VideoReport
Tap a star to rate
VideoReport is the wedding film business of Patrick Wanner, a wedding videographer based in Zurich who films weddings across Switzerland. His homepage describes his work as modern, stylish and authentic, in a cinematic style, and says he films weddings in Zurich and throughout the country, from elegant city weddings to romantic mountain settings and luxurious destination weddings by a lake. He cites 17 years of experience as a wedding filmmaker, and his site publishes a full price list, which makes budgeting straightforward.
His style
Asked on the trailer page to describe his style, he answers: "Mein Stil ist natürlich, emotional und unaufdringlich" (my style is natural, emotional and unobtrusive). He says he records real moments rather than staging scenes, so the film tells the couple's story authentically, and that he is known for his calm manner and for staying as inconspicuous as possible, because the couple is the center of the day. On the equipment page he adds that the aim is not a "Fernsehproduktion" (a TV production) but a record of the day that couples can look back on with joy, with him observing and filming discreetly in the background.
Why he argues for video
His homepage makes the case simply: photos hold memories, but a wedding film brings them back to life, with the voices, the music, the laughter and the yes itself. He writes that his trained eye, after 17 years of wedding filming, catches the most important moments of the day, and invites couples to watch his trailers to form a first impression.
What a film includes
The homepage lists what a professional wedding video from him offers: high-quality 4K footage, drone footage depending on the location, professional sound for the ceremony and speeches, cinematic camera work, an emotional highlight film of 3 to 5 minutes, and a full wedding film of about 20 to 23 minutes. Couples choose the music for their own film; for the trailer, he picks it. The vows and the speeches are recorded professionally, and he says the original sound is always part of the film.
The price page adds that editing and drone use are included in the prices, that the edited film is delivered in 4K and HD on a USB stick, that other common formats are possible, and that the complete uncut raw footage can be delivered on request. On timing, the FAQ says couples usually receive their film within 2 to 3 weeks. He covers weddings for anything from 6 to 12 or 14 hours, as the couple wishes.
The price list
The site states that prices start at about CHF 1290 and then lists two main packages, both including editing, several formats of the edited film on a USB stick and 100 km of travel:
- Church and aperitif, CHF 1350. From 12 noon to 6 pm at the latest, with an edited film of about 20 to 22 minutes, depending on the couple's wishes. "Manchmal ist weniger mehr!" he adds (sometimes less is more).
- Whole day with evening, CHF 1850. From 12 noon to 11 pm at the latest, with an edited film of about 20 to 25 minutes.
Both come with a free trailer if he may publish it on his website. The extras are priced too:
- Each additional hour, before noon or after 11 pm: CHF 150.
- Travel beyond the included 100 km: 0.80 per kilometer.
- The complete uncut footage on the couple's own hard drive: 150 on the price list (the homepage FAQ mentions a surcharge of 100 for the same service, so confirm the figure).
- A trailer when the couple does not allow it on his website: 150.
For a couple comparing quotes, both packages come with a full film of 20 minutes or more rather than a short edit only, and the travel rule means a wedding far from Zurich can be costed in advance.
Equipment
The equipment page names a professional 4K video camera from Canon, Panasonic S5 and G9 cameras with interchangeable lenses, and a GoPro for action shots, with stabilization systems. He uses drones, and his FAQ answer to whether he has one is "Ja und nicht nur eine...für alle Fälle" (yes, and not just one, just in case). Drone use depends on the weather and on the law, since flying is not allowed everywhere, and in rain or strong wind nothing is possible. He points to a short trailer filmed entirely by drone. He also says that all the equipment is useless without an eye for filming.
Past weddings
The site lists trailers by couple and date, from Stefanie and Yves in July 2022 to Annika and Benjamin on 20 September 2025, with more on his YouTube channel. The trailer page adds another nine couples filmed between 2022 and 2025. The dates show steady, recent work across summer and autumn, though the site does not name the venues.
Partners
A links page recommends people he works with. It names photographer Mischa Bättig and his team, described as award-winning and as a well-practiced team with him, specializing in real and emotional wedding moments; Romina, a wedding celebrant and singer; and the Tanzschule Läderach in Zurich Oerlikon for first-dance preparation. For a couple who wants photo and video from people used to working together, the photographer link is a useful lead.

What the site does not settle
The site is written in German and does not say whether he works in English, so an English-speaking couple should ask whether planning and the day can run in English. It does not say whether he films alone or with a second camera operator, and it gives no deposit, cancellation or revision terms. The two raw-footage prices on different pages are worth clarifying.
Who it suits
VideoReport suits couples anywhere in Switzerland who want a long, natural film with clean sound, a fast turnaround and a clear price before they make contact. The whole-day package covers a full celebration at a moderate price, and the travel rule is published. The caveats are the German-only site and the need to confirm who is behind the camera on the day.
