Le Bal des Créateurs

Le Bal des Créateurs is a Geneva hair salon and beauty institute at Rue de l'Arquebuse 25, in what its site calls the Bains neighborhood of Planpalais, offering bridal hair, makeup and beauty treatments either in the salon or at the wedding venue. Its wedding page, published in both French and English, says the team of wedding hairdressers and makeup artists is backed by 12 years' experience, and that a team of 16 specialists can travel to the venue "in Geneva and elsewhere", including abroad. The salon describes itself under the banner "Hairdressing & Beauty / Fashion & Culture / Day Bar", and its menu also lists a barber, an aesthetics service, makeup and a concept store.

The wedding service

The page says the team works for the bride, her bridesmaids and her guests, and that it masters "all types of hairstyles, from modern chignons to sophisticated ties and bohemian braids". The FAQ adds classic and modern chignons, intricate braids for a chic bohemian look, and small ties for something more casual. For makeup, it offers day or evening, natural or sophisticated looks, and the team is presented as qualified to work with all hair types (short or long, straight or curly) and all skin types.

The salon option comes with a private area in the salon lounge where the bride can get ready in peace. The FAQ says the salon can take up to 12 people per hour, so guests are welcome to have their hair and makeup done alongside the bride, and that its bar is available to the group while they wait. A private area for the bride and her guests can be arranged on request. The "On the move" option sends the team to the wedding venue for hairstyling, makeup and beauty services. For an outdoor wedding, the FAQ says to send requests to the director at lebalcontact@lebaldescreateurs.com. For weddings outside Switzerland, it says the team can travel abroad and will reply with a quote once it has the details.

The team

The wedding page lists the team with individual profiles. Christophe Durand is the founder, stylist director and makeup artist, and the FAQ calls him "an essential reference in the field". The other names listed are Virginie and Sophia (stylists and cutting experts), Shannon (stylist and colorist), Jonathan (senior colorist and highlights expert), Mélisa (stylist and cutting expert), Kevin (colorist and stylist), Laura (stylist and colorist), Guillaume (senior stylist and plant-based color expert), Laurence (makeup artist), Alan (senior stylist and cutting expert) and Cherif (senior stylist, makeup artist and colorist).

Products

For hair, the FAQ says the salon uses Oribe and Kevin Murphy for all styling. For makeup, it names Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Chantecaille and Laura Mercier among the brands it uses. The salon also keeps a selection of head jewels, and the stylists will help place a bride's own accessories, jewelry or flowers.

Booking lead times and preparation

The FAQ is specific about timing. It recommends booking as soon as possible and says that, in general, a few months ahead should be enough for on-the-spot services and at least a few weeks for salon preparation. A bride who wants to be prepared by Christophe Durand himself should reserve both the wedding date and the hair and makeup trial at least 4 to 6 months ahead. The salon always suggests a hair and makeup trial before the wedding, and it encourages brides to bring photos of the hairstyle they want, a mood board, or photos of the dress and accessories. For last-minute requests, it says to get in touch anyway.

The FAQ also gives practical hair advice: avoid washing the hair on the wedding day (wash it the day before and use dry shampoo on the day if needed), bring bobby pins and hairspray for touch-ups, have a cut or color a few weeks before the wedding rather than just before, avoid harsh treatments such as coloring or perming close to the date, and avoid too much heat styling in the days before.

Wedding planning partner

The French wedding page presents an all-in-one wedding planning option in partnership with STYLE'S Events, which it says has more than 15 years of experience organizing weddings in Geneva. According to that page, the partnership covers unusual venues, themes, artists and dancers, lighting and florists, from an intimate ceremony to a large evening event. STYLE'S Events is the organizer here; Le Bal des Créateurs is the beauty side of the partnership.

Contact

The salon can be reached on +41 22 320 00 55 or at lebalcontact@lebaldescreateurs.com, and the wedding page has buttons to contact the wedding manager, to consult the wedding booklet, and to book a hair and/or makeup trial. The site also has an online booking link for regular appointments.

What the site does not settle

The wedding page publishes no prices for bridal hair, makeup, trials or travel. The only hint at price level comes from a client review on the page, which says the salon is "maybe a little bit more expensive than other places" but fits the quality. Costs will depend on the size of the party, where the wedding is and who does the work, and a couple should ask for a written quote from the wedding manager. The site also does not say which of the 16 specialists travel, how many come to a venue for a given group, or what deposit and cancellation terms apply. The page gives no directions, parking or transport details for the salon.

Who it suits

Le Bal des Créateurs suits a couple marrying in Geneva who want a large, established salon able to handle the bride and a sizeable group of bridesmaids and guests, either in its lounge with a bar and a private area or at the venue. The English version of the wedding page makes first contact easy for couples from abroad, and the partnership with STYLE'S Events gives a route to a planner as well. A bride set on being styled by the founder needs to book months ahead. Because the team includes colorists and cutting experts, the pre-wedding cut or color that the FAQ recommends a few weeks before the day can be booked with the same salon that does the wedding styling. The main caveat is that every price is on request, so budgeting only starts after the first exchange with the wedding manager.
