Bridal Makeup and Hair From a Wetzikon Atelier

MIA MAKE UP is the business of Maria Ochsner, run from an atelier at Zürcherstrasse 91 in 8620 Wetzikon under the name MIA MAKE UP Academy & Style. It is two things at once: a makeup school with diploma courses and professional workshops, and a styling service for weddings and events. Its bridal page, headed "Brautstyling Zürich", offers makeup and hairstyling "aus einer Hand" (from a single source) for weddings in Zurich and the surrounding area. The page is detailed: three packages, each with prices for the bride and for guests, a trial with a stated duration, and a short FAQ.

The business also used the address makeup-coach.ch, which now leads to the same bridal page, and some client reviews still call it "Mia Makeup coach". It is one business.

The course side of the business teaches in groups of at most four participants, a detail that applies to the academy rather than to wedding styling.

The bridal page describes the look as individual, natural, elegant or glamorous, long-lasting and suited to photos, but always so that the bride still recognizes herself.

The Three Bridal Packages

Each package lets the bride choose makeup, hair or both, with or without a trial.

The bride pays CHF 800 for makeup and hair with trial, CHF 540 for either alone with trial, CHF 400 for both without trial and CHF 270 for either alone without trial. Guests are charged per person at the same rates as in Signature Plus: CHF 270 for makeup and hair, CHF 170 for one of the two.

Guest stylings take place without a trial, although the FAQ says a trial for a guest can be added separately if needed. For several guests, the team plans the running order around the time everyone needs to be ready. The price list therefore makes it possible to cost a whole bridal party before writing.

Trial and Wedding-Day Location

The trial always takes place in the Wetzikon atelier. The FAQ explains why: the atelier has the right conditions, professional lighting and every product on hand. At the trial, makeup and hair are tested and matched to the dress, jewelry, hair texture and style of the wedding. The FAQ gives the time to allow: usually one to two hours for makeup or hair alone, and about three to four hours for makeup and hair together.

On the wedding day the styling can happen in the atelier, which the booking form marks as "ohne Zusatzkosten" (no extra cost), or at the bride's chosen location by arrangement: at home, in a hotel or at the wedding venue. For a bride flying in, the atelier-only trial is the main planning point. A three-to-four-hour trial in Wetzikon has to fit into a trip before the wedding, or the bride books a package without a trial.
