A Mobile Makeup and Hair Artist From Winterthur
Nadine Pachler is an independent, mobile makeup artist from Winterthur who also does hairstyling. Her site title describes her as a "Mobile Visagistin aus Winterthur" for weddings, shoots, events and bachelorette parties (Polterabende). She comes to the bride rather than working from a salon, and her wedding page is detailed: a bridal package with a price, separate bridal makeup and hair prices, rates for guests and the groom, a stated trial window, and written travel terms. For a couple planning from abroad, that means the cost of the morning can be worked out before the first email.
The site is written in German, with English page names and a few English captions. It does not say which languages she works in.
Background
The about page gives a short career history. Nadine trained as a hand bookbinder, lived and worked briefly in London, flew as a flight attendant, completed further training as a federally certified tourism specialist ("eidg. Tourismusfachfrau HF"), and worked behind the scenes for a Swiss airline. She has been a certified "Make-Up Artistin Advanced" since June 2020, graduating from the school "Art of Make-Up", and she later completed further training in hairstyling so she could offer the complete package. She describes herself as 35, married and a mother of two, and lists weddings, shoots, trade fairs and TV sets as the places she works.
Her list of clients includes LIDL Connect, Belinda Bencic, the adult baccalaureate school KME in Zurich, the Lake Constance shipping company BSB, the TV program "SPORTDATE", the "Go International" language-travel fair in Zurich and the women's quintet "Vieilles Prunes", along with brides, grooms, bridesmaids and wedding guests.
Bridal Prices
The wedding page describes the bridal makeup as natural, photogenic, long-lasting and timeless, matched to the bride's style, dress, flowers and wedding theme. It lists three options for the bride:
- Braut Sorglos-Paket (the carefree bridal package): makeup and hairstyling, including a trial, consultation and a preliminary discussion by email or phone, CHF 690. With this package the bride receives a small beauty kit for the day as a gift.
- Bridal makeup with trial, consultation and preliminary discussion: CHF 420
- Bridal hairstyling with trial, consultation and preliminary discussion: CHF 420
The package costs less than booking makeup and hair separately, and it is the only option that covers both.
Guests, the Groom and Extras
For the maid of honor, the mother of the bride or other guests, styling on site is priced per person without a trial:
- makeup and hairstyling: CHF 220
- makeup only: CHF 120
- hairstyling only: CHF 120
- an additional trial, if a guest wants one: from CHF 100
For the groom, a grooming and styling session costs CHF 50. The page says it covers concealing blemishes or dark circles, tidying the beard and powdering for photos, "komplett unsichtbar" (completely invisible).
A makeup refresher is available on request: Nadine can stay for a touch-up before the couple shoot or at intervals through the day, or set up a small "Schminkbox" where guests can have their makeup refreshed. The price is quoted individually.
She also keeps real-hair clip-in extensions and hairpieces in her studio, which can be rented for CHF 100 or bought from CHF 200 to add volume or length.
Trial, Preparation and Travel Terms
The "Gut zu wissen" (good to know) section answers the practical questions:
- Location. She is mobile and does the makeup wherever the bride chooses: at home, in a hotel or at the hairdresser.
- Trial. The trial is scheduled one to two months before the wedding. It is there to get to know each other and to find and discuss the right look.
- Preparation. Before the trial, she and the bride exchange details by phone or email, and she sends all the information needed.
- Travel. All prices are plus travel expenses. The first 20 kilometers are included, and every further kilometer costs CHF 1.
- Materials. Consumables such as skin care, full makeup, tissues, cotton buds and hairpins are included. Extras such as false lashes, rhinestones, hair extensions and accessories are charged separately.
- Payment is by agreement, and the site links to its general terms (AGB).
For a bride flying in, the trial window of one to two months before the wedding is the main thing to plan around, since it means a visit to Switzerland ahead of the date.
The Wedding Portfolio
The wedding portfolio credits each image with the makeup artist, the hairstylist and the photographer. Most looks list Nadine for both makeup and hair; a few list another hairstylist. Captions include a wedding on Lake Constance ("Hochzeit am Bodensee"), a mountain wedding, a wedding on the Chäserrugg, a civil ceremony, getting ready at home and in a hotel, a first-look shoot, low buns, a half-up style with beach waves and a braided hairstyle. The photographers named include Ben Tischhauser, Sabrina Bartal Fotografie, Andrea Klimenko, Corinne Gygax and others. The range of settings shows she has worked at weddings outside Winterthur, including in the mountains.
Other Services
Outside weddings, her makeup price list runs from a nude makeup (CHF 80) through day and business makeup (CHF 90), evening or gala makeup (CHF 100) and photo makeup (CHF 110). Light hairstyling can be added from CHF 70 and a simple updo from CHF 90, which gives a guide for guests who want a lighter look than the wedding-guest rate. Commercial shoots are priced by the half day (CHF 450) or full day (CHF 950). Workshops are listed in the menu.
What the Site Leaves Open
- Language: not stated.
- Travel area: travel is charged per kilometer, but there is no stated maximum distance or overnight arrangement for a venue far away.
- Wedding-day timing: how many people she can style before a given ceremony time is not stated.
- Booking lead time: the trial window is given, but not how far ahead a wedding date should be reserved.
Who It Suits
Nadine Pachler suits a bride in or around Winterthur and Zurich who wants hair and makeup from one person, a trial included, and a clear price for herself, her guests and the groom. The written travel rule makes it easy to price a venue further away. The caveats for a couple from abroad are the German-only text and a trial held one to two months before the wedding, which has to fit into an earlier trip.
