SoBeauty's Home
Tap a star to rate
SoBeauty's Home is a beauty institute (Institut Soin & Beauté) at Rue Saint-Léger 18 in Geneva, founded and run by Soraya, who describes herself as a skincare expert and professional makeup artist. The wedding offer is bridal makeup and hair, and it sits inside a wider business of facials, Head Spa rituals and makeup classes. The site counts "10+ Années d'expérience" and "300+ Mariées sublimées", more than 10 years of experience and more than 300 brides made up.
The website is published in French and English, and booking runs online through Salonized, by phone or by email, so a couple abroad can make first contact without French.
The bridal service
The site calls it the Mise en Beauté Mariée and describes it as "une expérience sur mesure, pensée pour sublimer votre personnalité avec élégance et naturel" (a made-to-measure experience designed to bring out your personality with elegance and a natural look). Soraya writes that she accompanies each bride with a personalized makeup and hair service, matched to the bride's style, her dress and the atmosphere of the wedding. So hair is part of the bridal offer, not only makeup.
She also writes that she is based in Switzerland and available internationally, offering a high-end service that combines expertise, attention to detail and preparatory skin care ("soins préparatoires") for a look that lasts on the day. That last point is where the rest of the business comes in: the same person who does the wedding makeup runs the facial treatments, so a bride can prepare her skin with the artist who will make her up.
The portfolio has a bridal filter with two looks described: a classic wedding makeup, natural and luminous, and a bohemian bride, romantic and delicate with gold touches. The editorial side of the portfolio shows a luxury fashion shoot with Magnificence Agency and creative makeup for a haute couture show in spring 2024. The site also lists makeup for TV and media work (sets, interviews, audiovisual productions) and for galas and ceremonies.
Soraya does not work entirely alone. A short team section says her collaborators are essential and share her standards, although it does not name them or say how many there are.
Facials and skin preparation
The treatment menu carries prices. The facial treatments listed are:
- Lift & Glow Massage, a fully manual facial massage with lifting movements, deep drainage and targeted muscle work. Signature, 60 minutes for 210 CHF; Essentiel, 45 minutes from 180 CHF.
- HAURA, a facial on the Haura Hydrosystem that the site says combines 5 technologies including Hydrafacial and light therapy, in 3 rituals: Éclat, Détox (60 minutes, 230 CHF) and Signature (75 minutes, 250 CHF). The range runs 60 to 90 minutes, from 195 CHF.
- Glow Time, an express treatment the site presents as suitable for all skin types: 30 minutes from 80 CHF, or L'intense, 45 minutes for 95 CHF.
- Meso Glow, manual mesotherapy aimed at wrinkles on the face, neck, décolleté or hands, followed by light therapy: 1 zone, 45 minutes from 195 CHF; full face, 60 minutes for 250 CHF.
- Back Skin Therapy, cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, massage and mask for the back: 45 minutes for 110 CHF, or the Advanced version with the Haura device, 60 minutes for 160 CHF.
For a wedding with a backless dress, the back treatment is the one to note. The site does not set out a pre-wedding skin plan or say how far ahead of the day these treatments should be booked, so timing is a question for Soraya.
Head Spa
The Head Spa rituals are presented as inspired by Japanese traditions. The Rituel Head Spa Traditionnel (Signature) combines a deep massage and acupressure of the head, neck, arms and décolleté with an expert shampoo, personalized hair care, a bath and a mask, and aromatherapy: 45 minutes for 185 CHF. The Rituel Head Spa Glow adds a facial for 90 minutes at 240 CHF. Soraya calls the Head Spa much more than a treatment: "c'est un voyage vers la sérénité" (it is a journey toward serenity). For a bride, the maid of honor or the mother of the bride, it is a quiet appointment for the days before the wedding.
Masterclasses and group sessions
For private clients there is a Masterclass Makeup of 2h30 covering professional techniques (a flawless base, smoky eyes, contouring) and an Atelier Skincare Routine of 1h30. For companies there is a 3-hour Team Building Beauté and beauty animations for seminars, product launches or wellness days, quoted on request. Soraya also designs custom sessions on request. A 2h30 makeup lesson could suit a bride who wants to handle her own touch-ups later in the day, or a group of bridesmaids, though the site does not frame it as a wedding service or publish its price.
Booking, hours and policies
Appointments are by booking, Tuesday to Saturday, with flexible availability on request in the evening and on Sundays. Bookings go through the Salonized system, where the client picks a day and time from what is free, or by phone (+41 76 823 45 77) or email (info@sobeautyshome.ch). There is also a contact form. The booking policy states that bookings follow the conditions of the booking app and that an appointment canceled at the last minute without a valid reason will be charged. Gift cards are available.
What the site does not settle
- Bridal price. The treatments are priced, but the bridal makeup and hair is not. A couple needs to ask for a quote.
- Trial. The site does not say whether a trial is included or offered separately.
- Location on the day. She is available internationally, but the page does not say whether the bridal service happens at the institute or at the bride's hotel or venue, or what travel costs.
- Bridal party. Styling for bridesmaids, mothers or guests is not mentioned, and neither is how many people can be prepared on one morning.
- Language in practice. The site exists in French and English. It does not state which languages Soraya works in, so it is worth writing in the language you would want the appointment held in and seeing the reply.
Who it suits
SoBeauty's Home suits a bride marrying in or around Geneva who wants her skin prepared and her wedding makeup done by the same person, and who likes seeing prices for the preparatory treatments before booking anything. The English version of the site and the online booking make the first steps easy from abroad.
The caveats: the bridal service itself has no published price and no stated trial, and a bride used to fixed wedding packages will need a conversation to get there. The site describes the institute as haut de gamme (high-end), and the treatment prices read accordingly.
