Soins d'Auré

Tap a star to rate

Soins d'Auré is the beauty business of Aurélie Steiner, with treatment rooms at her chalet in Lignières and in the center of Neuchâtel, plus home visits across the canton of Neuchâtel and 50 km beyond it. Bridal makeup is one of its services, sold as clearly priced formulas: 200 CHF for a package with a trial at home, the wedding-day makeup and a neck massage, or 140 CHF for the wedding-day makeup alone.

The bridal page opens by asking what it would mean to rely on the same person to make you up for the most important day of your life, and the package is built around that idea: one artist for the trial and for the day.

The bridal formulas

The page lists four prices under "Nos formules maquillage de mariée".

Maquillage mariée complet pour le « Jour-J », 200 CHF. The package includes:

  • a trial at the bride's home, following her wishes
  • the makeup on the wedding day, at her home or at the wedding venue (the page marks this with an asterisk, and the travel rules further down apply)
  • a massage of the neck ("un massage des cervicales"), which the page offers so the bride can find her balance during such a special day

Maquillage mariée le « Jour-J », sans essai, 140 CHF. The wedding-day makeup without a trial. The page lists what it covers: base, complexion, correction where needed, eyebrows, eyes, cheeks, lips and a setting mist.

Maquillage invitée spéciale, 50 CHF. A preferential rate for one guest of the bride's choice who is present during the bride's makeup session. That is a mother, a sister or a witness made up alongside the bride at the same appointment.

Mise en beauté, 80 CHF. A lighter makeup covering eyes, cheeks and lips, listed on the same page.

Aurélie writes that she works with MAC Cosmetics products, and that a quote is possible for a package combining several services, such as makeup, nails and hair removal. Since the same business runs a nail bar (onglerie), eye treatments (beauté du regard), facials and massages, a bride could ask for one quote covering the makeup and the preparations in the days before, such as nails and hair removal, and book them in one place.

What the higher price adds is the trial and the massage. For a couple planning from abroad, the trial is the one chance to agree a look before the morning of the wedding, so the 200 CHF formula is the one that makes sense unless the bride already knows Aurélie's work.

What is not on the bridal menu

The page covers makeup only. There is no hairstyling in the formulas, and the site's service list (eye treatments, hair removal, massages, facials, bridal makeup, nails) does not include hair. A bride who needs her hair done will need a separate hairdresser and should plan the timing of the two appointments together.

Where she works and what travel costs

The page names three places to receive treatments: at the chalet d'Auré in Lignières, in the center of Neuchâtel, and at home. For home visits it sets out three rules:

  • a home visit needs a total booking of at least 50 CHF
  • travel costs apply beyond 15 km around Lignières
  • the travel zone is the canton of Neuchâtel plus 50 km, with Bienne, Morat, La Chaux-de-Fonds and Yverdon named as examples

Elsewhere on the page the home-visit zone is described as the canton of Neuchâtel and neighboring cantons. The travel charge beyond 15 km is not given as a figure, so it has to be asked for with the quote. A bride whose venue lies outside the zone described should check before anything else whether Aurélie will travel there at all.

For a couple from abroad, the practical point is that the wedding-day makeup can happen at the hotel or the venue, and that the trial, in the full package, happens at the bride's home. For a bride who does not live in the region, where the trial would take place is a question to settle early, since the page assumes a local home.

Booking and hours

Contact is by phone (076 239 82 26) or email (soinsdaure.ch@gmail.com), and the site has a booking link ("Prendre rendez-vous"). Hours are Monday to Saturday from 9h to 19h, with some Sundays by reservation. The site also sells gift cards and links to her Facebook and Instagram accounts. General terms of sale (CGV) are linked from the page, but their content is not on the bridal page itself.

What the bridal page does not settle

  • Language. The site is in French only. English is not mentioned, so a couple who does not speak French should ask in their first message whether the appointments can be held in English.
  • Travel cost. The fee beyond 15 km from Lignières is not quantified, and the page does not say whether it applies to the trial, the wedding day or both.
  • Timing on the day. How long the wedding-day appointment takes, and how long the massage lasts, are not stated.
  • More than one guest. The 50 CHF guest rate is for one guest of the bride's choice. Rates for a larger bridal party are not published.
  • Portfolio. The bridal page shows no gallery of past brides. The site has an about page (Qui suis-je ?), but the bridal page itself says nothing about her training or experience.
  • Deposit and cancellation. Not stated on the bridal page.

Who it suits

Soins d'Auré suits a bride marrying in the canton of Neuchâtel or nearby, in Bienne, Morat, La Chaux-de-Fonds or Yverdon, who wants a makeup artist to come to her, a trial beforehand and a fixed price known in advance. Published prices are the strongest point of the page: the bride knows before writing that the full package costs 200 CHF and that a companion can be made up alongside her for 50 CHF. The guest rate is a simple way to include a mother, a sister or a witness in the same appointment without a separate booking.

The caveats are that there is no hairstyling, that the site is in French only, and that the trial is designed around a bride living locally. A couple coming from abroad with a hairdresser already booked and a venue inside the travel zone will find this a clear and modestly priced option.
