A beauty center in Chur with bridal packages

Très Jolie Beauty Center is a beauty center at Mainstation 1901, Spundisstrasse 21, in Chur. Under one roof it offers hair (Coiffure), makeup, nails, lashes and brows, hair removal, spray tanning, permanent makeup and a range of medical cosmetics treatments. For weddings it sells three bridal packages, Basic, Comfort and VIP, each of which includes a consultation, a trial treatment, the bridal hairstyle and the bridal makeup, with more beauty treatments added at each level.

The appeal for a bride is in that combination. The wedding page puts it plainly: from manicure and pedicure, lash extensions and hair removal to hairdressing, microblading and medical cosmetics, "alle Beauty-Essentials" (all the beauty essentials) are available in one location, and the package is put together with the bride ("Wir erstellen zusammen mit Dir einen Einzigartigen Hochzeitspaket!").

The makeup page

The makeup page opens with a line in English: "Make up is Art. Make up is Passion. Make up is Expression." It then lists five kinds of makeup: day makeup, evening makeup, bridal makeup (Braut Make-up), makeup for photo shoots and makeup for special occasions. Two further lines read "Schönheit ohne Tierleid" (beauty without animal suffering) and "Vegan". The page does not name the brands used or say whether the whole range is vegan, so a bride who cares about that should ask which products are used on the day.

The three wedding packages

The wedding page (Hochzeitspakete, headed "So Einzigartig wie Du!", as unique as you) lists what each package contains.

The difference between the levels is therefore what happens around the hair and makeup: nails in every package, lashes and brows from Comfort upward, and extensions, a spray tan and a facial in the VIP package. The page does not say whether the VIP facial is a Hydra Peel or an Aquafacial by choice or whether they are the same treatment under two names. The site's menu lists them together, as "Aquafacial / Hydrapeel".

Since the page says the package is made together with the bride, the three levels read as a starting point rather than fixed sets.

The rest of the menu

The site's menu shows the full range of the center, which is where a bride would look for anything outside the packages:

Treatments like these are separate bookings. What each involves and whether it suits a particular skin is for the center to explain in a consultation, not something the menu settles.

The team

The team page describes a young and dynamic team that is always up to date on the latest trends, the most modern methods and "die coolsten Innovationen" (the coolest innovations) in beauty. It names Barbara Duque, Rui Duque, Dr. Med. Kraneburg, Diana Nushi, Ramona Paganini, Jennifer Meier, Vanessa Duque, Alexandra Sisljagic-Planta, Marlis Taddeo, Aylin Dogan and Aline Hartmann, without saying who does what. The page also advertises open positions for hairdressers, a beautician and a nail and lash stylist, and describes the workplace as a young, creative team in hairdressing and cosmetics, working with high-quality products for a demanding clientele in a modern setting. The hairdressing side is in-house, which is why the bridal hairstyle can sit in the same package as the makeup.

Booking and terms

The contact page has an online booking form that asks for name, email, phone, the service, the preferred staff member and any wishes. Contact is also by phone (+41 81 286 75 00) or email (chur@tresjolie.ch).

The terms under the form are clear:

• Appointments agreed orally or in writing are binding.
• A request by email, through the online booking tool or through the contact form becomes binding only once the center confirms it by phone or in writing.
• A client who does not come and has not canceled at least 24 hours before is charged 50% of the appointment, with no claim to a replacement.
• A client who arrives late is treated only for the rest of the booked time, and the center may charge the full time.

For a wedding morning, that last rule is worth taking seriously: the timing is fixed, and lateness shortens the treatment.

What the site does not settle

• Prices. None of the three packages has a price on the site. A couple needs to ask for a quote for the level they want.
• Duration. The page does not say how long the trial or the wedding-morning appointment takes.
• Place. The site does not say whether the team styles the bride at her hotel or venue or only at the center in Chur.
• Bridal party. Packages are described for the bride. Styling for bridesmaids, mothers or guests is not mentioned.
• Language. The site is in German, with English service names and one English slogan. It does not say whether the team works in English.
• Timing of treatments. The page does not say how far ahead of the wedding the trial, the spray tan or the facial in the VIP package should be scheduled.

Who it suits

Très Jolie suits a bride marrying in or around Chur who wants hair, makeup, nails and lashes arranged in one place, with a trial included at every level. The VIP package in particular combines treatments that would otherwise mean several appointments with different businesses. The written booking terms tell a couple exactly where they stand on cancellations and lateness.

The caveats are the missing prices, the German-language site, and no word on whether the team comes to the venue. A bride staying outside Chur should settle the last point first, since everything else in the packages assumes she can get to the center.
