What XAYA by lexb is

XAYA by lexb is the makeup business of Alexandra Bertschi, whom her clients call Alex. Its homepage leads with "Bridal Make-up & Hair" and the line "Einzigartige Looks für deine Hochzeit" (unique looks for your wedding). She describes herself as a passionate wedding makeup artist who has specialized in making up brides, and she offers makeup consultation, wedding makeup and bridal hair styling. Beyond weddings, the site shows special-event makeup, with Halloween looks as her self-declared specialty, and body painting on request.

The site is short: a homepage and a contact page, both in German, with a gallery of images and a section of client references. It does not give an address or name a town, so where Alexandra is based and which regions she covers are the first things a couple needs to ask. The phone number is a Swiss mobile number. The site's menu has three entries, Hochzeit (wedding), Creations and Kontakt, and the credits name Caroline Bertschi for the website and Camilla Fivian for the photos.

The wedding service

The wedding offer is described under the heading "Hochzeits-Make-Up inklusive Probe Make-Up", wedding makeup including a trial makeup. The page explains the reasoning: it matters to her that the bridal styling fits the makeup perfectly, so they take enough time at the trial to create the look the bride wants ("nehmen wir uns beim Probetermin genügend Zeit").

Hair is a smaller part of the offer than the headline suggests. The same paragraph says "Einfache Frisuren können dazu gebucht werden", simple hairstyles can be added to the booking. A bride planning an elaborate updo or a complex braided style should ask whether it counts as simple, or plan for a separate hairdresser.

On quality, she writes that as an experienced wedding makeup artist she knows how to create unique and elegant looks, that she uses only high-quality products and careful application, and that the aim is for the bride to feel comfortable for the whole day. The heading above that paragraph promises exactly that: "Garantiert den ganzen Tag wohlfühlen", guaranteed to feel good all day.

The references section names the brands clients can expect: Dior Beauty, Urban Decay, MAC Cosmetics, Fenty Beauty and Morphe Brushes, among others. The same section describes her priorities as first-class service, hospitality and "eine Menge Spass", a lot of fun.

Other services

Special-event makeup. Special-event looks, and in particular Halloween looks, are what she calls her "geheime Spezialität" (secret specialty). The site points to her Instagram and the images on the site for examples and offers a free consultation for this kind of makeup.

Body painting. Body paintings for baby-bump shoots or events, for a photo shoot or for live performances, available on request.

Neither is a wedding service, but the body painting line shows she also works for shoots and stage events, not only for brides.

What clients say

The references section shows four short testimonials. Two are from brides:

  • Sarah S. had her wedding makeup done by Alex and writes that she was very satisfied, that the makeup was beautiful and long-lasting ("Mega schön und langanhaltend"), and that Alex is very friendly and responds perfectly to personal wishes.
  • Tamara E. writes that Alex did her bridal makeup and that "Bei ihr fühlt man sich direkt wohl" (you feel at ease with her straight away) because of her friendly manner. At the trial they tried several looks to find the right one, she found the value for money very good, and the makeup held all day and into the night.

The other two are in English and come from music: one from Seelenfang, which calls XAYA by lexb its makeup artist for beauty, and one from Ricky Leroy Brown, who after 8 years of cooperation and friendship announces XAYA by lexb as their official manager. They show that her work extends into the music scene, but they say nothing about weddings.

Booking

Appointments and prices are handled together: for an appointment or an individual quote ("individuelle Offerte"), the site asks couples to fill in the contact form, call or email. The homepage gives info@xaya.ch and the contact page hello@xaya.ch, both with the phone number +41765081502. Buttons throughout the homepage invite visitors to book a makeup look.

What the site does not settle

  • Location. No address or town appears on the site, and there is no statement of which regions she travels to. This is the most important gap for any couple.
  • Where the styling happens. The site does not say whether she comes to the bride's home, hotel or venue, or works from a studio.
  • Prices. Every price is by individual quote. The one hint is a bride's comment that the value for money was very good.
  • Hair. Only simple hairstyles are offered as an add-on, without a description of what that covers.
  • Bridal party. Makeup for mothers, bridesmaids or guests is not mentioned.
  • Language. The site is in German. Two testimonials are in English, but the site does not say which languages she works in.
  • Terms. No deposit, lead time or cancellation rule is stated.
  • Trial timing. The trial is included, but the site does not say how long before the wedding it takes place or where. For a bride flying in shortly before the date, that decides whether the included trial is usable at all, so it belongs in the first message along with the wedding date.

Who it suits

XAYA by lexb suits a bride who wants makeup from an artist who specializes in brides, with a trial included in the wedding makeup and time taken to try several looks. The brand list and the testimonials about makeup that lasted into the night point in the same direction: durable makeup for a long day.

The caveats are real. The site does not say where she is based or where she travels, and hair is limited to simple styles. A couple planning from abroad should send the date, the venue and the look they want in the first message and ask about location, hair and price together. The contact form and the individual quote are set up for exactly that kind of first exchange, and the two bridal testimonials suggest the trial is where the look gets settled.
