A Zug planner who works with couples from abroad

My Memories is the wedding planning business of Vanessa, a planner based in Zug. Her home page describes her as specialized in multicultural weddings and in couples from abroad who want to celebrate in Switzerland, in her own words "spezialisiert auf multikulturelle Hochzeiten und Paare aus dem Ausland" (specialized in multicultural weddings and couples from abroad). She names the range of events she takes on as an intimate elopement, an elegant destination wedding, or a large celebration with the whole family, and she says her aim is a wedding that reflects the couple's story, their cultures and their personalities.

The business signs its footer as My Memories, Wedding & Event Planning, so events beyond weddings are part of the picture too. Vanessa writes that her long experience in Switzerland and abroad lets her fold cultural traditions, rituals and wishes into a Swiss wedding. For a couple where one partner is Swiss and the other is not, or where two families bring different customs to the same day, that is the specific promise here.

The services, one by one

The site lays out six services, each with its own short description on the home page, and the contact form adds a seventh option called general advice.

Komplettplanung (full planning). Vanessa takes over the whole organization, coordination and detail work. The pitch is aimed at couples who have neither the time nor the patience to work through the wedding market themselves, and who would rather hand the background orchestration to someone else.

Teilplanung (partial planning). For couples who enjoy organizing but want an experienced planner beside them. She steps in exactly where professional support is needed and combines the couple's vision with her own experience.

Wedding Day Manager. This is her day-of coordination. On the day, she keeps the overview, coordinates the suppliers and looks after the whole running order, so the couple and their families are free to spend the day with their guests.

Locationsuche (venue search). She scouts venues in Switzerland that fit the couple's style and story, from romantic to modern to unusual.

Dienstleistersuche (supplier search). She finds photographers, florists, musicians and other suppliers to match the couple's style, wishes and budget, drawing on her network.

Safety-Check. A review of a plan the couple has already put together. She goes through the existing planning in detail and checks that nothing has been overlooked, which suits couples who have done most of the work themselves and want a professional second read before the day.

What past couples say she did

The testimonials on the home page are the most concrete part of the site, and they show what the role looks like in practice.

Blanca and Nicolas decided after their engagement in June to marry within three months at a private location, with 90 guests at the apéro and 65 at dinner. Both had full-time jobs. They booked partial planning plus day coordination, and they write that the result was a large celebration that did not feel improvised.

Maria and Ben, whose review is in English, booked her for their elopement. They thank her for acting as their witness, their second photographer and, as they put it, their "general wing woman", and they call her "a gold star wedding planner".

Adriana and Christian booked her for on-site coordination. They describe her setting up their decorations in the church and at the venue, coordinating the caterer, the florist and the DJ, and supporting their best man, maid of honor and master of ceremonies. They add that she gave them timing advice in the weeks before, including how to walk down the aisle in church.

Manuela and Pascal write that choosing suppliers with her was easy because her network and knowledge made the whole process simpler, and that they were surprised how thoroughly she planned their wedding. Sara and Riccardo, who booked day coordination, single out the value for money. Angela and Daniel say they would give ten stars if they could, and that she stays calm under pressure.

Two reviews come from other angles. Vale Serifi, a supplier who has worked alongside her several times, describes her as extremely professional, calm and structured, always ahead of the next step, and adds that what really sets her apart is her personality. Alina Putorti writes as a maid of honor: Vanessa took work off her shoulders, set her clear deadlines, and always had an alternative ready when something was forgotten.

How booking works, and working from abroad

The route in is the contact form on the home page, or the email address and Swiss mobile number in the footer. The form asks for both partners' names, their place of residence, a budget band, the services they are interested in and how far along their planning is (just starting, in the middle, or almost done). It also asks which day and time suits the couple for a virtual meeting, which makes a first conversation from another country straightforward.

The site says the first consultation is free and non-binding. After that talk, the couple receives an individual offer based on their wishes. Vanessa also writes that she keeps couples transparently informed throughout the planning.

The budget bands in the form are CHF 20,000 to 30,000, CHF 30,000 to 40,000, CHF 40,000 to 50,000 and above CHF 50,000, with an option for couples who do not know yet. These are bands for the whole wedding budget, not her fee, but they give a sense of the scale of weddings she expects to plan.

Language is worth a word. The site is written in German, and it uses the informal "ihr" throughout. Her specialism in couples from abroad and the English-language review from Maria and Ben suggest foreign couples are part of her work, but the home page does not say which languages she plans in. A couple who needs to work in English, French or another language should ask in the first message.

What the home page leaves open

The site publishes no fees for any of the six services, no deposit and no cancellation terms. It does not state a minimum lead time, though the Blanca and Nicolas story shows a three-month turnaround has worked. It does not say whether she travels to venues outside central Switzerland or how travel costs are charged, which matters for a wedding in the mountains or in Ticino. The navigation links to a FAQ page and separate service pages, which may answer some of this; the home page itself does not.

Who it suits

My Memories suits couples who want one named planner from the first meeting to the debrief, rather than a team, and couples whose wedding brings together two cultures or two countries. The spread of services makes it flexible: a couple who has already booked a venue can take only the supplier search or the Safety-Check, while a couple planning from abroad can hand over everything. The caveats are that it is one person, so availability is limited, and that her pricing only becomes clear after the free consultation.
