A Swiss Planner Working From Singapore

Create Your Story is a destination wedding and events company that plans weddings between Singapore and Switzerland, among other destinations. Its Switzerland page is written by Daniela, the company's Swiss-born planner, who says she grew up in Switzerland and now brings that background to every celebration the company designs there. Her pitch is that Switzerland is not simply one destination on a list but a country the team knows from the inside, from mountain villages and lakeside restaurants to regional suppliers and venues she describes as not yet in any travel guide.

The page also describes a collaboration with Switzerland Tourism, both its Singapore team and the team in Switzerland, and with the Swiss Embassy in Singapore. It mentions taking part in the Swiss Weeks Opening Event in Singapore in 2026 alongside the embassy. According to the FAQ, the tourism collaboration gives the company access to up-to-date venue knowledge, regional highlights and tourism board introductions across the country. That is a partnership, not an endorsement of any particular wedding, and couples should read it as a sign that the planner is well connected rather than as an official service.

The Destination Arrangement

The company's main package is the Destination Arrangement, described as tailored for couples dreaming of a celebration abroad, from intimate guest lists to multi-day experiences. The published price is a project fee of S$ 9,950 or € 7,500, plus 10% of the wedding budget. That second element matters: the total fee scales with the size of the wedding, so a larger budget means a larger planning bill.

The page lists what the arrangement includes. On the design side there is a discussion of ideas, vision and wedding design, a color and mood board, and design and visualization of the decor. On the planning side it lists 6 milestone meetings, 40 hours of planning support, budget allocation and overview, worldwide venue sourcing, location scouting, local vendor recommendations, vendor booking and handling, venue handling and the wedding day program. For guests it lists guest travel and itinerary planning, hospitality management and support for multi-day celebrations and experiences. It closes with team travel organization, logistic confirmations, wedding day coordination and worldwide on-site presence.

For a couple flying guests in from several countries, the guest travel and hospitality lines are the most useful part of the list, since they are exactly the tasks that usually fall on the couple. The site's menu also lists a separate CYS Consulting service, but the Switzerland page does not describe it or price it.

Weddings It Has Planned in Switzerland

The page names real Swiss weddings. Loredana and Kilian married on 21 May 2016 on the Isole di Brissago, the two small islands in Lago Maggiore in Ticino with botanical gardens. The page quotes them: "Our wedding was perfect because we also sneaked away to have a little bit of togetherness!"

Joanne and Fabian held three celebrations in 2022: a civil ceremony at Zivilstandsamt Männedorf beside the Zurichsee, a party in Singapore at 1-Atico, and the main Swiss reception at Sagibeiz am Walensee in Murg. The page describes the Walensee as one of Switzerland's most dramatic lakes, with steep cliffs and deep blue water, surrounded by the eastern Alps.

A third wedding is announced for August 2026 at Centre Loewenberg above the medieval town of Murten in the canton of Fribourg, which the page describes as a historic manor house with a Victorian glass-dome orangery, formal gardens and views over Lake Murten. The team says it is designing every detail of that wedding, from decor and tables to the lighting and the flow of the day. These venues are places the company has planned weddings at, not venues it runs.

Regions the Page Covers

The page gives a short guide to five regions. Ticino is presented as Mediterranean Switzerland, with Lombardy light and the settings of Lago Maggiore and Lago di Lugano, suited to lakeside weddings and subtropical gardens. Zurich and the Zurichsee are pitched for urban celebrations and large international guest lists, with easy access through Zurich Airport, which the page calls one of Europe's best-connected hubs. The Bernese Oberland, including Interlaken, Grindelwald and the Jungfrau region, is the classic Alpine option with mountain railways and established hotels. Fribourg and the Murtensee are described as hidden Switzerland, bilingual and less discovered. The Valais is described as the sunniest region, home to Zermatt, the Matterhorn and the Leukerbad thermal baths, with vineyard weddings and a strong food and wine offer.

Languages and Planning From Abroad

The English section headline says Daniela is fluent in 6 languages, and the German-language FAQ on the same page names them: Swiss German, Standard German, French, Italian, Spanish and English. The German FAQ adds that first meetings and ongoing communication can be held entirely in German. The page itself is published in English with a full German version below.

On planning at a distance, the FAQ says planning a Swiss wedding from Singapore is exactly what the company is built for, that Daniela returns to Switzerland regularly and keeps active relationships with Swiss venues and suppliers. Bookings start with a discovery call, which the page invites couples to book to talk through their vision, guest list and preferred Swiss setting.

Guest Travel and Seasons

The FAQ says Singapore to Zurich is a direct flight with Swiss International Air Lines of about 12 to 13 hours, that most European capitals connect to Zurich or Geneva in under two hours, and that the Swiss train network makes onward travel from the airport to venues easy. It confirms that the company coordinates all guest travel logistics as part of the Destination Arrangement.

On timing, the FAQ calls May through September the peak season, with July and August the warmest and most reliably sunny months. June and August are named as the team's favorites for long days and softer light, and August is singled out because businesses work normally, unlike Italy during Ferragosto. For Alpine venues, the page suggests winter, especially February, which it calls the driest month, and March.

What the Page Does Not Settle, and Who It Suits

The page publishes no minimum budget and no guest-count limits, and the percentage-based fee means the final planning cost is only clear once the wedding budget is set. It does not say who from the team is on site on the day beyond Daniela, and it does not describe the consulting option in detail.

Create Your Story suits couples based in Singapore or elsewhere in Asia who want a Swiss wedding, and international couples with guests traveling from several countries who want travel and hospitality handled as part of the package. The fee structure points toward mid-size to larger budgets. Couples who want a planner physically based in Switzerland, or a flat fee that does not grow with the budget, should weigh that before booking a call.
