Privat-Feuerwerk

Tap a star to rate

Privat-Feuerwerk is a fireworks business in Regensdorf that organizes displays for private occasions: weddings, birthdays and company celebrations. Its homepage asks "Sie wünschen sich ein Feuerwerk für eine Hochzeits-, Geburtstags- oder Geschäftsfeier?" (would you like fireworks for a wedding, birthday or business celebration?) and promises to advise on what is feasible at the client's location and to take care of all the permits. What sets it apart for a couple planning from abroad is the pricing: the homepage publishes guide prices by display length, and three real examples, two of them weddings, with their duration and approximate cost. The site is in German.

Guide prices

The homepage says that how long and how intense a display is depends entirely on the budget, and that because the team does fireworks out of passion, the budget goes mainly into the fireworks themselves. Displays start from CHF 3000.00, and a baroque firework from CHF 2000.00. The guide prices ("Richtpreise Feuerwerk") are:

  • CHF 3000-3500 for about 5 minutes
  • CHF 3500-5000 for about 7 minutes
  • CHF 5000-8000 for about 9 minutes
  • CHF 8,000-10,000 for about 11 minutes
  • CHF 10,000-12,000 for about 13 minutes
  • CHF 12,000-20,000 for about 20 minutes

The site calls these a short orientation and offers an individual concept and quote on request.

Real examples

Under "So könnte Ihr Feuerwerk aussehen" (this is what your fireworks could look like), the homepage describes three past commissions:

  • Wedding fireworks, Weggis (Lucerne): a light, romantic opening, large shells in the middle section, lightly set to music, little ground fireworks and more aerial fireworks, and a big finale. 9 minutes, about CHF 6500.
  • Wedding fireworks, Habsburg (Aargau): a light, romantic opening, a simple middle section, lightly set to music, more aerial than ground fireworks, and a big finale. 7.5 minutes, about CHF 4500.
  • Birthday fireworks, Kirchberg (Bern): a light start with 60 Bengal lights, a fast middle section, lightly set to music, more aerial than ground fireworks, and a big, intense finale. 10 minutes, about CHF 6500.

For a couple trying to budget, those two wedding examples are more useful than any brochure: they show what a real wedding display in Switzerland ran to in length and cost.

The wedding offer

The homepage's wedding section offers "einem traditionellen Herzbrennzopf" (a traditional burning heart) or the couple's initials in Bengal lights, and mentions heart-shaped 3D glasses for the guests as a simple touch, followed by a colorful display with music. The dedicated wedding page lists the kinds of effects a wedding display can include: colored stars in gold, silver, blue, green or red; heart shapes from Bengal lights positioned as a heart or a burning heart rope; large fire flowers that burst in the sky; trails of sparks; loud bangs; and, sometimes, synchronization with music.

The same page notes that local rules on fireworks must be followed and that a permit is often needed: "Oftmals ist eine Genehmigung erforderlich, gerne kümmern wir uns um alles nötige um das Feuerwerk sicher und spektakulär zu gestalten" (a permit is often required; we are happy to take care of everything needed to make the display safe and spectacular). That the team handles the permits is its own statement, repeated on the homepage.

How to plan a display with them

The homepage's "Vorgehen" (process) section is practical. It asks clients to write what the fireworks are for and how long the display may last. It explains that the time can be extended cheaply with ground fireworks such as volcanoes, Bengal lights and written effects, which is why the length plays a big role in planning, and that the budget is the main factor, so clients should say what range they have in mind. The team then puts together an individual show.

The contact form asks for name, email, phone, address, subject and message, the type of celebration (birthday, wedding, business or other), the date, the location and the budget. The address is Feldstrasse 34, 8105 Regensdorf, and the email is info@privat-feuerwerk.ch. No phone number is published.

Who they are

The about page describes the team as fireworks sellers and pyrotechnicians who want to share the joy of fireworks with their clients. It says safety comes first, that they work only with renowned manufacturers and suppliers, and that their trained staff advise on product choice and give safety instructions. It ends by calling the team the right contact for fireworks at "einem unschlagbaren Preis/Leistungsverhältnis" (unbeatable value for money). The site gives no names, founding year or qualifications. Beyond weddings, the site offers birthday displays with fiery lettering and tall fountains, and company displays built around a firm's own colors for anniversaries, product launches and trade fairs.

Under "Wo wir überall zünden" (where we fire), the homepage says: "Wir sind in der ganzen Schweiz und Europa für Sie im Einsatz" (we work for you throughout Switzerland and Europe).

What the site does not settle

The site does not say whether the guide prices include travel, setup, cleanup or insurance, or what the permit work adds, so couples should ask exactly what the quote covers. It gives no booking lead time and no policy for bad weather or cancellation. It does not name the pyrotechnicians or their qualifications, and it does not say whether the team works in English; the whole site, including the form, is in German.

Who this suits

Privat-Feuerwerk suits couples who want to know the cost of a display before they call, and who like the idea of a romantic touch such as a burning heart or initials in Bengal lights before the main display. The published wedding examples at Weggis and Habsburg make it easy to picture what a budget of around CHF 4500 to 6500 buys, and the baroque option from CHF 2000 covers smaller celebrations.

The caveats are the German-only site, the lack of any named team or credentials, and the open questions about what the guide prices include. For a couple anywhere in Switzerland who wants a clearly priced wedding display with the permits handled, it is a practical and transparent choice.
