Kinder-Event.ch is a children's entertainment business at Im Sandbühl 9 in 8620 Wetzikon, built around its own mascots, Nikki and Pieps. It puts together children's programs for birthdays, company anniversaries, open days, fairs and weddings, for children of about 3 to 10, with face painting, glitter and airbrush tattoos, balloon figures, crafts, storytelling and games run by its animators.

What it does at a wedding

The homepage lists weddings among the occasions it covers: "Wir bei Kinder-Event.ch kreieren bezaubernde Kinderprogramme für alle möglichen Anlässe, sei es Kindergeburtstage, Firmenjubiläen, Hochzeiten, Kinderfeste, Tage der offenen Tür" (we create children's programs for all kinds of occasions, whether children's birthdays, company anniversaries, weddings, children's parties or open days). The children's animation section repeats it, naming a birthday, company anniversary, trade fair, open day, exhibition, market or wedding as events where the team comes and takes over the children's entertainment.

Two lines set out how a booking works. "Der Zeitrahmen für unsere Dienstleistungen richtet sich ganz nach Ihren Bedürfnissen" (the time frame of our services depends entirely on your needs). And "Abhängig von der Größe Ihres Events sind wir mit einer oder mehreren Personen vor Ort" (depending on the size of your event, we are on site with one or more people). The business offers standard packages for birthdays and children's parties, and it will also put together an individual program for a particular occasion, which is the route a wedding would take. The standard birthday format gives a sense of the shape: a party with Nikki, Pieps or the Easter bunny, "ein abwechslungsreiches Programm mit verschiedenen Spielen und zwei tollen Hauptattraktionen" (a varied program with different games and two main attractions). A couple can ask for a wedding program built the same way, with a mascot visit and a couple of activities chosen for the ages of the children attending.

The mascots can be hired too. Nikki can be booked for events, and the business has its own Easter bunny, Samichlaus (the Swiss St. Nicholas) and a donkey, with a mascot-supervision service listed separately.

For a wedding, natural choices are face painting or tattoos for a queue of children during the aperitif, a craft table for a quieter group, and balloon figures for the youngest. A couple can mix them, since the program is put together per event.

The about section calls them "erfahrenen Kinderanimateurinnen", experienced children's entertainers. The site does not name them or describe their training.

The references page lists public events: face painting at the Bächlihof, the Olten book fair, KidsDay at the WintiMäss 2013, Nikki visiting the Alpamare, the Easter bunny at the Glattzentrum, airbrush tattoos at the Züri Fäscht, face painting at the ZOM, a village fair in Dänikon, Halloween 2018 and Santa on Tour in December 2022, among others.
