JP Bartending

Tap a star to rate

JP Bartending is a cocktail catering business from Zug, run as JP Bartending GmbH by its founders Pascal Bühler and Dusica Stöckli, that brings a mobile bar and bartenders to private events, weddings and corporate functions. For weddings, its pitch is simple: exclusive cocktail catering for the couple and their guests, with a signature cocktail created for the day. Alongside the catering it rents bar furniture and equipment, delivers ready-made cocktails in tanks, and teaches cocktail courses.

The wedding offer

The homepage gives weddings their own section. Its wording is "kreiere Deinen eigenen Signature Cocktail" (create your own signature cocktail), set within an offer of exclusive cocktail catering for the couple and their guests. The services page lists what the cocktail catering consists of: an exclusive mobile bar, complete equipment, a professional team, cocktail creations, high-quality ingredients and individual branding. It also says the team creates a cocktail menu tailored to the client's wishes.

For a couple, the practical reading is that JP Bartending supplies the bar, the equipment and the bartenders, designs a menu with them, and can brand the bar for the event, for instance with the couple's names or a wedding logo. The page does not go into detail on what the branding looks like, so it is worth asking to see examples.

The private events section on the homepage frames the same service more plainly: "Miete einen Barkeeper" (hire a bartender) for cocktails and atmosphere, with a menu made to the host's wishes. The services page adds that the team brings the cocktail experience directly to the client's home, which matters for couples planning a smaller celebration at a private house or garden rather than at a venue. The corporate section, covering staff events, Christmas parties and client events, promises first-class service and care for the guests, so the same team handles larger, more formal occasions too. The about page describes the people behind the bar as hosts who live their passion, rather than just drink servers.

The homepage sums up the style in 3 pairs: perfection meets inventiveness, classics meet original new creations, and passion meets professionalism.

How a booking runs

The services page sets out 4 steps. First comes a consultation, in which the team discusses the client's ideas, wishes and event details. Next is individual planning, where the team develops a concept for the event. Then organization: JP Bartending takes care of logistics, setup and coordination. Finally, on the day, the team handles the service and makes sure things run smoothly. Contact runs through a "get in touch" link and a contact page; the pages here do not show an email address or phone number.

Renting the bar and equipment

Couples who want to run their own bar, or whose caterer supplies staff, can rent from JP Bartending instead. The rental section offers stylish bar elements, bar tools and glasses, and lists a mobile bar, complete equipment, spirits and ingredients, high-quality glasses, light spots and refrigerators, among other things. Rental packages are put together individually on request.

Cocktails at home and courses

A service called Cocktails@Home delivers freshly made cocktails in 2 or 5 liter tanks, either delivered to the client or collected from the company's showroom. It is aimed at house parties and barbecues, but it could suit a relaxed gathering the day after a wedding.

The cocktail course teaches the basic techniques of mixing, for beginners and more experienced people alike. Its content covers spirits and equipment, preparation techniques, recipes, garnishing and presentation, and practical exercises, and it ends with a certificate and a recipe book. The site suggests it for team-building events and private groups, which makes it a candidate for a bachelor or bachelorette party. A separate bar training program is aimed at bars and restaurants rather than private clients.

The founders and the brands

The about page tells the founding story. When everything came to a standstill in 2020, the bars were closed but the desire to mix drinks was not, so the founders decided to take the bar concept to the people. The lockdown was the starting point, and what began as a spontaneous idea grew into what the site calls an exclusive cocktail catering company. Pascal Bühler is named as founder and managing director, and Dusica Stöckli as founder.

The mission, in the site's words, is to make the client's day one to remember, "mit einem Glas in der Hand und einem Lächeln im Gesicht" (with a glass in hand and a smile on your face). The values listed are excellence, passion, precision and connection. The menu also lists the company's brands: JP Bartending itself, a 3 Rad Bar (a three-wheeled bar) and sips. The pages here do not describe the last two.

What the site does not settle

The site publishes no prices for catering, rentals or courses. It does not say how many guests one bar or one bartender can serve, how long a standard service lasts, or what a minimum booking is. It does not name a service area beyond the Zug label in its page title, so couples marrying elsewhere in Switzerland should ask whether the team travels to them and at what cost.

The site is in German, with some English headings, and it says nothing about bartenders working in English. Couples planning from abroad should raise language in the first contact. The pages also give no booking lead time.

Who it suits

JP Bartending suits couples marrying in or around Zug who want a cocktail bar built around them, with a signature drink and a branded bar, and who like dealing directly with the founders of a small company. The rental and tank options make it flexible: a couple can book the full service, rent only the equipment, or order cocktails for a smaller event around the wedding. The course is a ready-made group activity for a bachelor or bachelorette party.

The caveats are the absence of prices, contact details on the pages shown, a stated service area and any word on English. A couple should also ask about the 3 Rad Bar, which the menu lists but the pages here do not explain.
