MoonLight is a private bartender service in Valais, founded in 2022 by Mounir Benchara, that makes made-to-measure cocktails for weddings, company events and private parties and runs cocktail workshops. The site's footer names the business MoonLight Cocktails Event. Its process includes a meeting with the couple to settle the details, and a wedding review on the site describes tasting and choosing the cocktails at Mounir's home before the day.
What MoonLight offers
The homepage calls the business a "barman à domicile" (a bartender who comes to you) and sums up its specialty in one line: "Notre spécialité ? Les cocktails sur mesure !" (our specialty? made-to-measure cocktails). The pitch is cocktails that tell the hosts' story and delight their guests, created together with the client.
The services named on the homepage are:
- Wedding cocktails. A refined bar and original creations for the reception. The wedding entry says a cocktail service at a wedding always works in the couple's favor, and that MoonLight accompanies them "de A à z" (from A to Z).
- Company events. Afterwork, team building or a gala.
- Cocktail evenings. Services adapted to the hosts' tastes, the number of guests and their budget.
- Cocktail workshops and mixology courses. Interactive sessions in which participants learn bartending techniques and create their own recipes with the mixologists.
The site offers some ready-made packages but says it likes to think outside the box, and invites clients to ask for a formula better suited to their needs.
How a booking works
The process on the homepage has 3 steps. First, a quote request: the client describes what they want and receives a tailored proposal. Second, a meeting, "Échangeons ensemble afin de définir les détails et personnaliser votre expérience" (let's talk together to define the details and personalize your experience). Third, the event itself, which MoonLight carries out.
What a wedding couple wrote
The site shows reviews through Trustindex, taken from Google, under the rating "EXCELLENT" based on 20 reviews. The most detailed one is from a wedding. The couple writes that they were able to taste cocktails at Mounir's place and choose them for the wedding: "Nous avons pu aller déguster des cocktails chez lui où nous avons eu l'occasion de déguster et choisir ses cocktails pour le mariage." They say he and his wife were exceptional, that all the guests loved every cocktail and the shots, and that "Les fruits rouges venaient directement de son jardin !" (the red berries came straight from his garden).
The same review adds two practical details. The couple ordered their beer through him, because he has contacts with local breweries, and he helped them design the cocktail menu. It ends with thanks for the bride's cocktail, made with harissa. For a couple, that review is the clearest picture of how a MoonLight wedding runs: a tasting, a menu designed together, the bar run on the day, and help with beer as well.
Other reviews describe workshops. One is from a bachelorette party (enterrement de vie de jeune fille) with Mounir and Ludmilla, which the reviewer says offered plenty of choice and freedom. Another describes a staff evening where the hosts showed "pas à pas les différentes étapes pour réaliser l'espresso martini" (step by step how to make an espresso martini) and explained how to create a balanced cocktail. A third mentions a staff evening for 20 people with an offer tailored to the group. A review signed Sassy Wedding calls the service real added value for events.
The wedding couple's review also describes the personal side: they write that they felt like VIPs, that Mounir listened closely and helped them a great deal, and that they valued his professional and human qualities enough to want to book him again. Another short review simply calls the service excellent with a great atmosphere. The badge on the site, according to Trustindex's own text, is given to businesses rated above 4.5 on customer reviews over the last 12 months.
Planning from abroad
The tasting at Mounir's place is the part a couple from abroad needs to plan around. If they want to taste and choose the cocktails in person, as the reviewing couple did, that tasting has to fit a visit to Switzerland before the wedding, ideally the same trip as a venue visit or a meeting with other suppliers. The site does not say whether the menu can be designed remotely instead, so it is worth asking at the quote stage.
Contact
Contact is through a quote request form on the site or by phone on +41 76 734 26 29. The site does not give an email address or a street address, and it names Valais as its area without naming a town.
What the site does not settle
The site publishes no prices, no packages with contents and no minimum or maximum guest numbers. It does not say how many bartenders come to a wedding, how long a service lasts, or whether glassware and ice are included. It does not say whether alcohol is supplied as part of the service or bought by the couple, though the wedding review shows beer can be ordered through Mounir. It does not say whether alcohol-free cocktails are offered, which couples with non-drinking guests should ask.
The service area is given only as Valais. Couples marrying elsewhere, including in neighboring regions, should ask whether MoonLight travels. The site gives no booking lead time, and it does not say how far ahead a tasting should be arranged.
The website is in French, and the reviews are in French. The site says nothing about English, so a couple who plans in English should raise language in the first contact.
Who it suits
MoonLight suits couples marrying in Valais who want a small, personal bar service, with cocktails designed around them and the chance to taste them before the day. The wedding review suggests a hands-on owner who also helps with beer and the menu, and the workshops fit a bachelor or bachelorette party or a gathering of friends before the wedding.
It suits less well couples who want to choose from a fixed menu and a published price, or who need a large team for a very big wedding, since the site gives no sense of capacity. The French-only site and the unstated service area beyond Valais are the other points to clear up early.
