A planner in Schaffhausen with Italy in her range
AMARY Weddings & Events is the wedding-planning business of Marisa Barbato in Schaffhausen. Her home page introduces her as a wedding planner for exclusive weddings in Switzerland, and the offer page says AMARY plans weddings at romantic places in Switzerland and Italy, working with a network of handpicked suppliers. The tagline, in English, is "Where elegance meets forever". Her philosophy, stated on the home page, is "Persönliche Nähe, strukturierte Planung und Raum für echte Emotionen" (personal closeness, structured planning and room for real emotions).
For a couple planning from abroad, one line in the FAQ settles the most important question: "Ich kann euch gerne auf Deutsch, Englisch und Italienisch beraten" (I am happy to advise you in German, English and Italian). The site itself is written in German.
The packages
The offer page describes named packages, each with its own list of what is included.
The Full Experience is complete planning, "von der ersten Idee bis zum letzten Tanz" (from the first idea to the last dance). It covers an individual concept and design, budget planning and monitoring, the choice and coordination of all suppliers, advice on the venue and catering, and planning of the schedule with direction on the wedding day.
The Refined Edit is partial planning for couples who have already started. Marisa writes that she brings structure, clarity and professional security. It includes feedback on the planning so far, support with the concept and style, advice on choosing suppliers, recommendations on how to divide the budget, and a coherent timeline.
The Day-of Presence, subtitled "Wedding Day Concierge", is for couples who have planned the wedding themselves. It includes a final coordination meeting, acting as the contact person for all suppliers, a schedule for the day, coordination and direction on the day, and emergency management. The page describes her role as discreet in the background but present at the right moment.
How the planning runs
The offer page lays out the process step by step, which is useful for a couple who wants to know what they are committing to.
It begins with a short getting-to-know-you call ("Kennenlerngespräch"), a 15-minute online conversation to see whether the chemistry is right. It is free and non-binding. Next comes a needs analysis, a longer conversation of 2 to 3 hours at the couple's home or online, to go through their wishes and define how she can best support them; this too is free and non-binding. On that basis she writes an individual offer, so the couple knows from the start what to expect.
The collaboration begins once the couple accepts and pays a deposit. From then on, she writes, she takes responsibility for preparing the wedding stress-free and in style. The creative phase follows: developing the concept, choosing suppliers and agreeing every detail, with the couple kept informed. On the day she coordinates in the background.
The FAQ adds the practical terms. She recommends booking as early as possible, ideally 12 to 18 months before the wedding date, to secure the best suppliers and venues in Switzerland or Italy, though short-notice requests are also possible. She recommends only handpicked suppliers, but the couple always makes the final decision, and suppliers the couple has already booked can be integrated. She deliberately takes on only a limited number of weddings per year, to give each couple her full attention.
Weddings she has planned
The gallery describes two weddings. For Aisha and Giancarlo, a ceremony in the Klosterkirche Rheinau was followed by an apéro at St. Katharinental and a dinner; Marisa handled partial planning with an individual decoration concept, coordination of all suppliers and personal support on site. For Chantal and Mario, a free ceremony in the chapel of the Hof zu Wil, with family, friends and the couple's dog, was followed by an apéro, dinner and party; here she provided comprehensive support, coordination of all suppliers and her presence on the day.
What couples say
The home page carries reviews in German. Aisha and Giancarlo write: "Dank Marisas perfekter Organisation konnten wir unseren Tag in vollen Zügen geniessen" (thanks to Marisa's perfect organization we could enjoy our day to the full). On the gallery page the same couple add that working with her was always "unkompliziert, ehrlich und absolut zuverlässig" (uncomplicated, honest and completely reliable), and that you can feel she does the job with passion. Nina and Alessandro say you could tell how much heart she puts into her work. Chantal and Mario write that the very first conversation was "super angenehm" (really pleasant), and that they had no idea how to plan a wedding before she went through every thought and idea with them step by step.
Her values
The About page lists the values she works by: detail-loving, creative (planning to the couple's wishes rather than a standard solution), structured and reliable, aesthetic and emotional, and uncomplicated and personal, with honest communication and dependability. She writes that she believes in timeless elegance, celebrations with character, details with meaning and real emotions.
What the site does not settle
The site publishes no prices. The FAQ answers the cost question by saying every wedding is as individual as the couple, and the offer comes after the needs analysis. It does not state the deposit amount, payment terms or cancellation terms. It does not say whether she helps with guest accommodation, transport or other logistics for guests traveling from abroad, so couples with many international guests should ask.
Who it suits
AMARY suits couples who want an elegant, carefully styled wedding in the Schaffhausen region, elsewhere in Switzerland or in Italy, and who like a clear process with a free call and a free needs analysis before any commitment. The German, English and Italian advice makes her a practical choice for international couples and for Swiss-Italian families. Couples who want a price range before investing a few hours in the needs analysis will have to ask for one directly.
