Planning Across German-Speaking Switzerland

Helvetic Hochzeit offers wedding planning and wedding-day coordination across German-speaking Switzerland. Its planning page says it works with demanding couples ("anspruchsvolle Paare") in Zurich, Bern, Lucerne, Basel, St. Gallen and the rest of the German-speaking part of the country, coordinating venues, suppliers and the running order from one source so the couple does not have to juggle every detail. Its tagline sums up the tone: "Professionelle Hochzeitsplanung und Hochzeitskoordination in der Deutschschweiz. Diskret, sorgfältig, unvergesslich." (professional wedding planning and coordination in German-speaking Switzerland; discreet, careful, memorable).

The site is built around regional pages, one per town, each with a short portrait of the area, the kinds of venues found there and a pair of questions and answers. That makes it a useful starting point for a couple who has not yet settled on a region. The same network also publishes a French-language site, Helvétique Mariage, for French-speaking Switzerland, described further down.

The Services

The regional pages list the same set of services. Full planning (Vollständige Hochzeitsplanung) is described as support from A to Z for a wedding without stress. Coordination on the wedding day (Koordination am Hochzeitstag) is for couples who have done the planning themselves: the agency handles the timing, the suppliers and the details in the background so the couple can concentrate on guests and the moment. Individual support (Individuelle Hochzeitsbegleitung) is targeted advice matched to how far the couple's preparations have gone. The planning page adds that the team adapts to the couple's pace, takes over where they need relief, and leaves them the decisions that matter to them.

Every engagement begins with a free, non-binding first meeting (Erstgespräch). The planning page describes it as a chance to check whether the collaboration fits, without cost, obligation or sales pressure: the team listens to the couple's ideas, answers questions and explains how it would support them from the first idea to coordination on the day.

How Pricing Works

On pricing, the planning page says that every offer starts with the free first meeting. Only once the team understands the couple's wishes, the planned scope and the timeline does it prepare an individual offer on request, which the couple can review in their own time and compare with other options. The same page promises no flat prices that do not fit the occasion and no hidden costs. The site footer also links to a Preise (prices) page, which a couple can check before the first meeting.

The Regional Pages

Winterthur is presented as a cultural city with industrial charm, known for its museums and an unusual choice of converted industrial venues, "Umgebaut vom Fabrikareal zum Festsaal" (converted from factory site to banquet hall). The page adds castles, estates and wine cellars in the Zürcher Weinland around the town for receptions, and its FAQ says the agency secures a suitable converted hall or studio and coordinates decoration, catering and technical equipment there. Another answer puts Winterthur 20 minutes from Zurich-Kloten airport and 25 minutes from Zurich main station, and calls it ideal for guests from Switzerland and abroad; those are the agency's own figures.

Schaffhausen is described through the Rheinfall, which the page calls Europe's largest waterfall, the Munot fortress and the medieval old town with its oriel windows. Venue options named are the Munot, the Rheinfall, historic guild houses and wineries in the Klettgau. The FAQ says the Munot can be requested for private events, and that for ceremonies right beside the Rheinfall the agency coordinates permits and logistics.

Frauenfeld, capital of the canton of Thurgau, is described as halfway between Zurich and St. Gallen, with the castle (Burg Frauenfeld), estates in the Thur valley hills and orchards as settings. The FAQ says the castle is a cultural venue of the canton that can be requested for private events, with the agency checking availability. A second answer describes the Thurgau as known for its orchards, quiet landscape and honest hospitality, giving weddings there a down-to-earth, authentic character.

Kreuzlingen sits directly beside the German city of Konstanz on Lake Constance. The page names the Kreuzlingen monastery, the lakeside promenade, historic buildings and modern hotels on both sides of the border, and says several restaurants with direct lake access offer terrace receptions. The FAQ calls Kreuzlingen-Konstanz literally one town across two countries, and for couples with guests from Germany it says the agency coordinates cross-border weddings "von der Standesamtsfrage bis zur Gästelogistik" (from the registry office question to guest logistics).

Wil, in the western part of the canton of St. Gallen, is portrayed as a small town with a well-kept old town and the Kloster Wil. The FAQ calls it ideal for weddings of 30 to 120 people, with a small but high-quality choice of venues, and notes estates and historic farmhouses in the surrounding area as an alternative to hotel halls.

The pages also link to further regions, among them Zurich, Bülach, Neuhausen am Rheinfall, Rorschach and St. Gallen.

The French-Language Site: Helvétique Mariage

For weddings in French-speaking Switzerland, the network runs helvetique-mariage.ch, which describes itself as wedding organization in the Suisse romande. It follows the same pattern as the German site, with one page per town; the Nyon and Yverdon-les-Bains pages sit in a section for the canton of Vaud and link to Lausanne, Morges, Vevey, Montreux and Aigle, while the footer links to pages for Geneva, Neuchâtel, Fribourg and Sion. The pages say the work on the ground is done by a mandated local professional (le professionnel mandaté) who knows the venues and suppliers of the area.

The core services match the German list: complete wedding organization, coordination on the day, and tailored support. The French pages add a longer menu, including personalized secular ceremonies designed with the couple, lakeside weddings on Lake Geneva, weddings on wine estates and in the mountains, floral direction, budget advice and a service for multicultural weddings, described as harmonizing traditions, languages and protocols for international couples.

Two details matter to a couple planning from abroad. The first meeting is free and without obligation, and the French pages say it can take place in person in the region or by video call. And the Nyon page says the town is 20 minutes from Geneva international airport and close to the A1 motorway, and that the network gladly coordinates the logistics for international guests, from their arrival to their accommodation. The Nyon page also names the wine estates of La Côte, the Château de Nyon and private lakeside properties as settings, and the Yverdon-les-Bains page names the shores of Lake Neuchâtel, the Château d'Yverdon and wine and farm estates of the Côtes de l'Orbe. Contact runs through contact@helvetique-mariage.ch, and the pages say the professional answers within one to two working days.

What the Site Does Not Settle

The pages name no planner, no team member, no postal address and no phone number; throughout, they refer only to "der Fachbetrieb" (the specialist firm). Contact runs through the email address kontakt@helvetic-hochzeit.ch and an online appointment form, and the footer links to a legal notice and terms. A couple who wants to know who will actually coordinate their day should ask at the first meeting.

The German site is written in German and the French site in French, and neither mentions English as a working language, which is the main open question for a couple from abroad. On the German side, apart from the Winterthur travel times and the cross-border note for Kreuzlingen, the pages do not describe help with guest travel, accommodation or transport from the airports (the French Nyon page does), and the regional pages describe types of venues rather than naming partner venues the agency works with.

Who It Suits

Helvetic Hochzeit suits couples who want a planner for German-speaking Switzerland, or through its French site for the Suisse romande, and are still comparing regions, from the Rheinfall and Lake Constance to the Thurgau countryside and the small town of Wil. The mix of full planning, day-of coordination and targeted advice suits couples at different stages, and the free first meeting and individual offer make it easy to compare. The Kreuzlingen page is relevant for couples with family in Germany. Couples who need English-language planning, or who want to know the planner by name before getting in touch, should raise both points in the first message.
