Ivory & Gold

Tap a star to rate

Ivory & Gold is a wedding planning business in Lucerne run by Alina, who introduces herself on the site as "eure Hochzeitsplanerin" (your wedding planner). The homepage heading is in English, "Refined Celebrations, Effortlessly Delivered", but the body text is German. Her offer comes in four forms: coaching and advice, partial planning, full planning, and destination weddings, which on her site means a wedding held abroad.

Who Alina Is

The about page describes her background briefly. Weddings have always fascinated her, and after training in the hotel industry ("Ausbildung in der Hotellerie") and further training as a certified wedding planner ("Weiterbildung zur diplomierten Hochzeitsplanerin"), she says she is exactly where she always wanted to be, accompanying couples with heart and expertise. The heading of that section reads "Ich wollte immer Erlebnisse kreieren, die bleiben" (I always wanted to create experiences that last).

The site is written in her own voice and introduces no other team members. Her stated aim is that the couple can concentrate on their love, their guests and the special moments while she takes care of the logistics, so that the day runs smoothly and as planned.

The Four Services

The about page describes each service in a sentence or two.

  • Coachings & Beratung: she supports couples exactly where they need it, in a single session or over several conversations, to find solutions that make planning easier.
  • Teilplanung (partial planning): she takes over specific areas where a couple needs help, from suppliers to the running order, so they can handle the rest calmly.
  • Gesamtplanung (full planning): she takes on the complete organization, from the concept to the schedule on the wedding day, while the couple makes every decision according to their wishes.
  • Destination Wedding: for a wedding abroad, she says she makes sure the couple has nothing to worry about except looking forward to celebrating at a special place.

The homepage adds a list of reasons professional planning helps: more time for the good moments, relaxed planning, clear budget planning and control, individual concepts and creative ideas, access to a proven partner network, and careful coordination and organization. The about page frames it from the couple's side, starting with couples overwhelmed by inspiration or unsure how to use their budget, and ending with a clear vision, a budget plan and the certainty that everything is prepared.

A Wedding in Cannes, and One in Gränichen

Two testimonials appear on the site, both in German. L&S, whose wedding took place in Cannes in France, write that their wedding with Alina as planner was simply perfect, and that she supported them in every way from the first conversation to the big day. They add that she not only helped with the whole organization and planning but also took over "alle administrativen Aufgaben und die komplette Korrespondenz" (all administrative tasks and the complete correspondence), because the wedding took place in France, that she was always reachable, and that she even made an extra stop at the venue during her own holiday to get a better picture of it.

S&P, married in Gränichen in Switzerland, describe her support during the preparations and at the ceremony as very professional, uncomplicated and reliable. They say she gave the whole thing a common thread, that their witnesses were able to enjoy the day too, and that they had underestimated the organization even for a wedding that was not huge. On the day, they say, they noticed nothing of the organization going on around them.

For a couple from abroad, the Cannes testimonial is the most useful piece of evidence on the site: it shows she has planned a wedding in another country and handled its administration and correspondence.

The Blog on Destination Weddings

The site runs a blog aimed partly at couples marrying in Switzerland from elsewhere. One post, on destination weddings in Switzerland, sketches settings such as a secular ceremony on the shore of Lake Lucerne with a view of the Alps, a celebration in a chalet in the Engadin and a dinner in a castle on Lake Geneva, and notes that planning a wedding away from home "kann schnell komplex werden" (can quickly become complex). A second post, with tips for a destination wedding in Switzerland, reminds couples coming from abroad to find out early about the documents needed for a legal ceremony, translations and the registration of the marriage; those are the post's words, and the site does not say whether she handles those formalities herself. A third post lists 15 wedding trend ideas for 2026.

Recognition

The homepage carries a banner saying Ivory & Gold was nominated for the Global Wedding Awards 2025. The banner text is cut off, and the site gives no category or result.

Booking

Contact runs through the site's booking buttons, labeled "Gratis Erstgespräch buchen" (book a free first meeting). The about page describes it as a free 30-minute consultation and invites couples who are unsure which service suits them to talk it through "bei einem Kaffee" (over a coffee). The pages do not show a phone number or an email address, so the booking form and the contact page are the way in.

What the Site Does Not Settle

The site publishes no prices for any of the four services and no packages. It does not state lead times or how many weddings she takes each year, and it does not name the venues or suppliers in her partner network. There are no galleries of past weddings on the pages beyond the two testimonials.

Language is the key question for an English-speaking couple. The site mixes English headings with German text and does not say whether planning can be done in English; the one international wedding it mentions took place in France. The site also does not say whether she travels to venues outside central Switzerland at extra cost.

Who It Suits

Ivory & Gold suits couples in and around Lucerne, and couples planning a wedding abroad, who want a single planner to handle the organization, the running order and, where the wedding is in another country, the paperwork and correspondence. The coaching option makes a good entry point for couples who plan themselves, and the free 30-minute call costs nothing. The caveats are the absence of prices, contact through a form only, and no explicit statement on working in English.
