Nayama

Tap a star to rate

Nayama is a Swiss events agency working in French-speaking Switzerland that plans and decorates weddings, alongside company evenings, private dinners and a concierge service. Its about page describes it as an agency specialized in the organization and decoration of made-to-measure, high-end and luxury events, and its wedding page names the Lake Geneva region as home ground: Geneva, Lausanne, Morges, Nyon, Lavaux, Montreux, Vevey, Neuchâtel and Fribourg.

Who runs it

The agency was founded by Valérie. The about page says she came from a career in prestige and luxury, specifically VIP client management, and chose to retrain and build an agency in her own image. The values she lists are simplicity, creativity, dynamism, rigor, discretion and professionalism. The page credits her anticipation, her listening and her eye for detail, and says these drew her toward the events that carry the most emotion, which in her words are weddings. It describes the style she designs as "chics, délicats et tendance" (chic, delicate and on-trend).

Behind the planning sits a decoration team. The home page lists spatial designers, an interior decorator, florists and installers, so the design and setup of a wedding is handled by people working under the Nayama name rather than passed entirely to outside suppliers.

The wedding offer

The wedding page sets out three ways to work with the agency.

Full planning. This comes in two formulas. "Luxury" is described as a service of excellence that is precise and sharp. "Prestige" is described as a high-end wedding organization service that stays accessible to all. The page does not put a price on either or explain in detail how they differ. Elsewhere on the same page the agency says it plans weddings for every budget, while also working at the top end.

For full planning, the page lists what the agency does, step by step:

  • a first meeting to understand the couple's needs, wishes and the kind of wedding they want
  • a preliminary quote with an overall budget for the event
  • searching for, scouting and selecting venues
  • selecting, managing and coordinating all suppliers
  • reviewing and negotiating supplier contracts
  • designing and creating the decoration and styling
  • supervising the wedding stationery
  • setting and tracking the budget
  • building and tracking the overall reverse schedule
  • overall coordination on the day, including setup, the event and teardown
  • welcoming and looking after guests with its own staff
  • preparing and coordinating the ceremony, with a rehearsal beforehand
  • regular preparation meetings with the couple

À la carte. A couple can hire the agency for a single task, such as a search for a reception venue, or any other piece of the organization. The page says Nayama puts its know-how and network to work on the couple's own brief.

Day-of coordination. Aimed at couples who want to design their wedding themselves and only need support during the celebration. The agency takes over on the day: unexpected problems, supplier logistics, welcoming guests and the smooth running of the day. The page lists the steps: a first meeting to review the plan, contact with all of the couple's suppliers, a schedule for the day, a second meeting to refine the last details, and presence on the day coordinating suppliers and guests.

Where it works, and the kinds of weddings it describes

The wedding page is specific about region. It describes Nayama as offering a full local service in a town in Vaud, Geneva, Fribourg or Neuchâtel, and gives short notes on weddings in Geneva, with a view of the Jet d'eau, Lausanne and its lakeside hotels, Morges and its private estates, Nyon from medieval castles to modern hotels, the Lavaux vineyards above the lake, Montreux, Vevey, Neuchâtel and Fribourg.

It also describes the settings the design team can work with: a bohemian wedding by a lake or on a beach, an "ultra chic" celebration in Lisbon or Paris, a wedding in Provence in a farmhouse or manor or under a hundred-year-old olive tree, and a secular ceremony, "cérémonie laïque", in the Lavaux vineyards. The page does not say how many weddings abroad it has actually produced, so read the Lisbon, Paris and Provence line as what the agency offers rather than a track record.

One line matters for international and interfaith couples. The page says: "Nous mettons un point d'honneur à respecter tout protocole des différents mariages, quelque soit le thème ou religion" (we make a point of respecting the protocol of every kind of wedding, whatever the theme or religion).

Beyond weddings

The home page lists four other lines of work. The decoration service covers events generally. Company evenings are planned turnkey, with caterers and entertainment in unusual venues. Private dinners are designed for guests, clients or colleagues. The concierge service offers a wide choice of made-to-measure tours and activities worldwide, which a destination couple could ask about for guests who want to stay on after the wedding.

Contact and language

The contact page gives a phone number, a WhatsApp chat link, an email address (info@nayama.ch) and an online calendar for booking an appointment. The inquiry form asks for first name, last name, email, phone, the total wedding budget and the number of guests, plus a message. The agency says it will be in touch shortly.

The site's menu offers French and English versions. The French pages are the ones described here, and they do not say which languages the team plans and runs weddings in, so a couple who needs the whole process in English should say so in the first message.

What the site leaves open

The site publishes no prices, neither for the Luxury and Prestige formulas nor for à la carte work or day-of coordination. It does not list the venues it has worked with or show named past weddings with guest numbers. It does not state a lead time or how early a couple should book. And since the wedding page frames the service around the Lake Geneva region, a couple marrying in German-speaking Switzerland or in the mountains should ask whether the agency travels there and on what terms.

Who it suits

Nayama suits couples marrying in Geneva, Vaud, Fribourg or Neuchâtel who want planning and decoration from one agency, with its own designers, florists and installers doing the setup. The detailed lists make it easy to see what each level of service includes, and the day-of option is a fair choice for couples who have planned everything themselves. The caveats: no published pricing, and the site does not show real weddings as evidence of its range.
