A planner from the Zurich Oberland
Zutt Event Consulting is the wedding and event planning business of Jana Lee Zutt, at Hischwilerstrasse 12 in 8636 Wald ZH, in the Zurich Oberland. It plans weddings, corporate and private events, and runs a third line in media consulting: event and wedding websites, digital invitations and guest registration. Its newer wedding page presents it as an exclusive planner for stylish weddings in Zurich and the whole of Switzerland, and an older page names Zurich, Zug, Schwyz and the rest of Switzerland as well as neighboring countries as its area.
The website is in transition. The home page reads "Coming Soon" and says the online presence is being reworked, while older pages from the previous site still show the portfolio, the media coverage and the about text. The contact details are the same on both: phone +41 79 903 93 47 and email info@zutt-eventconsulting.ch.
What the wedding service covers
The current wedding page describes four services.
Full Service Planung. The complete organization of a wedding anywhere in Switzerland, from the first idea through venue search and the design concept to coordinating every supplier. The page says the team keeps the budget in view, draws up a clear timeline and makes sure every part of the day fits together.
Teilplanung (partial planning). For couples who have started planning and want to hand over certain areas, for example finding the venue, choosing suppliers, or fine-tuning the design and the running order. The couple keeps control and gets a clearly structured plan.
Wedding Day Coordination. From its Zurich base the business offers day-of coordination across Switzerland: keeping the schedule, coordinating all partners and being the central point of contact on site.
Elopements. Intimate weddings for two, in Switzerland or abroad, including choosing the location, the setting and coordinating local suppliers.
The older wedding page adds the working principles: couples choose between partial organization and planning from A to Z, keep full control of costs ("Sie haben die volle Kostenkontrolle und wir planen innerhalb Ihres Budgets", you keep full cost control and we plan within your budget), and get an overall concept, supplier recommendations, a jointly developed schedule and someone keeping the overview on the day. Couples planning entirely on their own can also book a review of their plans to check nothing has been forgotten.
Prices, lead time and the FAQ
There are no packages and no price list. The older page says that because every wedding is individual there are no "Packages", only a quote tailored to the couple, and that the first consultation is free and non-binding. The new FAQ says the budget for a Swiss wedding depends mainly on guest count, venue and the couple's ideas, and that the team gives an initial estimate in the first meeting.
The FAQ is unusually concrete on timing. It asks couples to get in touch ideally 12 to 18 months before the date, because popular Swiss venues book early, and says an intensive planning process ideally runs about 12 months, while adding that faster timelines are possible. It says the team also plans weddings outside Switzerland, at locations worldwide, and that it works with the couple's existing suppliers as well as recommending partners from its own network.
Portfolio and press
The references page lists weddings by theme and venue: an all-white wedding at the Orangerie of the ENEA Baummuseum, a greenhouse wedding at ENEA and the Romantik Seehotel Sonne, a Great Gatsby wedding at Schloss Laufen am Rheinfall, a maritime wedding at the Hotel Seerausch in Beckenried, a vintage summer wedding at the Hotel Seerose am Hallwilersee, a forest ceremony, weddings at Pier 7 in Zurich, the Parkhotel Vitznau, the Golfclub Sempach and the Villa Wenkenhof in Basel, and several in the Zurich Oberland. The image captions on the older pages repeat "Freie Trauung im Wald" (a non-religious ceremony in the forest).
The new wedding page also carries short reviews from couples in Zurich, Lucerne, Basel, Zug, Bern, Winterthur, St. Gallen, Solothurn and Rapperswil. They praise the design, the smooth running of the day and the supplier recommendations, but they give first names and towns only, with no venue or date.
The media page lists a real wedding on the Ruffled Blog, a styled shoot called "Sterntaler" in the April 2019 issue of Swiss Wedding, a "Great Gatsby" styled shoot in the December 2018 issue, and an article on event planning in the Zürcher Oberländer's regional business section in October 2018.
The founder and the media side
The about page is written in the first person by Jana Lee Zutt. Handing an event to someone else, she writes, takes absolute trust and some courage, so before she starts she makes sure the chemistry with the client is right. The philosophy section is blunt: "Geht nicht, gibt es bei uns nicht" (there is no such thing as "can't" with us). The business also supports an animal welfare association, New Life 4 Spanish Animals.
The media consulting page says she has more than 20 years of experience in media design and production and more than 15 years of online expertise. For couples who book the planning, she can also handle the whole online side: a wedding website, digital invitations and registration management, priced by individual quote.
What the site leaves open
The site publishes no fees. It does not say whether the planning is done in English: every page is German, and although the new contact form has English field labels, that is not a statement about the working language. There is no statement of how many weddings are taken per year or who besides the founder works on the day. Because the site is being rebuilt, some older pages may not reflect the current offer, so couples should confirm the services in the first call.
Who it suits
Zutt Event Consulting suits couples in the Zurich region and central Switzerland who want a planner with a design eye and a record at lake hotels, gardens and forest settings. The stated 12 to 18 month lead time is useful planning information for couples from abroad, and the elopement service and willingness to plan outside Switzerland widen the options. The media add-on suits couples who want a wedding website and online RSVP handled by the same person. Couples should raise the working language and the fee early, since the site gives neither.
