Fotoatelier Mariano
Tap a star to rate
Fotoatelier Mariano is a photography and film studio in Immensee, in the canton of Schwyz, run as Fotoatelier Mariano GmbH from Artherstrasse 25. Its wedding film page describes professional wedding films in a cinematic style for couples in Zürich, Zug, Luzern, Schwyz, Bern and the rest of German-speaking Switzerland, with sound in studio quality and aerial footage by drone. The studio's selling point is that photo and film come from the same team on the same day, so a couple can book both from one place. The page opens with the idea that every wedding is unique and deserves to be told like a real film, and says its films combine emotion, aesthetics and storytelling with attention to detail.
A Documentary Approach
The page is clear about style. The studio works documentary-style: no staged scenes and no put-on reactions. The team says it watches, waits and records the real moments, the look, the laugh, the tear, the embrace, with the aim of a film that still moves the couple many years later. In its experience, it writes, it is the small, unexpected moments that make a wedding film: the father's look as he walks his daughter to the altar, or the guests' reaction to the first dance. Those moments cannot be staged, the page says; they have to be lived and caught.
On the day the team accompanies the couple from the preparations to the evening reception, which the page describes as discreet, professional and always in the right place at the right time.
Photo and Film from One Team
Asked whether film and photography can be booked together, the studio answers yes: both are made by the same team on the same day. In its words, "Die Kombination bietet den grössten Mehrwert und eine einheitliche Bildsprache vom ersten bis zum letzten Moment" (the combination offers the greatest added value and one consistent visual language from the first moment to the last). For a couple, the practical benefit is one booking and one team to brief instead of two separate vendors.
The page links to several real weddings as examples: Fabienne and Simon at the Biohof Zug, shown as a natural wedding told in photo and film; Julia and David, where photo, film and the studio's Selfiebox were combined; Tanja and Patrice at the Bürgenstock Resort, photo and film from one source; and Anja and Tanja in Zürich, again with photo, film and Selfiebox.
The Three Film Packages
The studio publishes three packages, all in 4K:
- Basis 4K, film reportage with 8 hours, an edited film of about 15 to 35 minutes, travel costs included
- Standard 4K, film reportage with 12 hours, an edited film of about 15 to 35 minutes, travel costs included
- Premium 4K, film reportage with 12 hours, a trailer of 3 to 5 minutes, drone footage, an edited film of about 15 to 35 minutes, travel costs included
All packages can be extended by arrangement, and the page asks couples to get in touch for an individual quote. No prices appear on this page; the footer links to a separate prices and packages page for the wedding film, which a couple should read or ask about.
Delivery, Formats and Drone
The FAQ answers the practical questions directly. The main film runs between 15 and 35 minutes depending on the package, plus the 3 to 5 minute trailer in Premium. All films are produced and delivered in 4K, and a version for social media, YouTube and WhatsApp is included. As a rule, the FAQ says, delivery takes four to eight weeks after the wedding, depending on the amount of post-production. After the wedding, the page adds, the film is cut with the greatest care and delivered in high resolution.
Drone footage is included in the Premium package. The studio states that it holds an official drone license and works according to Swiss regulations.
Area and Booking
The studio lists its working area as all of German-speaking Switzerland: Zürich, Zug, Luzern, Schwyz, Bern, Solothurn, Aarau, Baden, Winterthur, Schaffhausen, St. Gallen, Frauenfeld, Chur and Glarus, and abroad on request. The footer also mentions Basel.
It recommends booking six to twelve months ahead, especially for spring and autumn weddings. Before the wedding the team meets the couple in person or by video call to discuss wishes, the schedule, the locations and the style of film they want. Inquiries are non-binding, and the studio invites couples to arrange a no-obligation introductory meeting at the atelier. The studio is reachable daily from 8 to 19 h, with an appointment requested, on 041 850 55 64, by WhatsApp on 076 370 55 64 or at info@foto-mariano.com.
Other Services
Weddings are one part of a broader studio. The menu lists business photography and image films, the Selfiebox photo booth with its own price page, passport and application photos, family and pregnancy shoots, real estate photos, large-format and canvas printing, digitizing of photos and film, and a voucher shop. For a wedding, the Selfiebox is the extra that ties in most directly, and several of the featured weddings used it.
What the Page Leaves Open
The film page names no prices, so the linked price page or a quote is needed. It does not name the people on the team or say who films on the day. The whole site is in German, and the page says nothing about working in English; couples from abroad should ask in the first call, whether by video or in person, how the team handles a couple or guests who do not speak German. It also does not say how travel abroad is charged, since the included travel costs are stated for the packages without a distance limit.
Who It Suits
Fotoatelier Mariano fits couples marrying in central Switzerland or elsewhere in German-speaking Switzerland who want a longer documentary-style film rather than only a short highlight clip, and who like the idea of one team for both photos and film. Couples marrying at the Bürgenstock Resort, in Zug or in Zürich can watch the linked reportages from those places first. The published delivery time, 4K output and social media version answer questions many couples otherwise have to chase. Couples who need English-language planning, or who want to compare prices before any contact, should check those points first.
