Pablo Di Cagno

Tap a star to rate

Pablo Di Cagno is a videographer and photographer based in Kreuzlingen, canton Thurgau, on Lake Constance (the Bodensee), who films weddings alongside event, corporate and music videos. His wedding page publishes four packages with prices and priced extras, so a couple can budget before making contact, and his site runs under the label Videograf-Pablo.ch, part of Cagno Di Media Production.

Who he is

The about section is short and personal. Pablo writes that he comes from Germany and has lived in Switzerland since 2015, starting out in the hotel trade in the Valais before turning videography into his profession. He set up on his own in Thurgau as a videographer, photographer and web designer, and says he specializes in wedding videography, music videos, corporate and image videos, and drone footage. A counter on the site shows 7+ years of experience. He also mentions volunteer work for Bodensee TV Steckborn and projects filmed for JCI and a sustainability prize. A sister label, Fotograf-pablo.ch, covers his photography.

His gear description is equally personal: the Sony Alpha 7 series has gone with him on his travels and projects since 2016, and he works with different lenses for different scenes and light. His studio kit is mobile, so he can set up at a company, at home or anywhere else.

How he films a wedding

On the wedding page, the first section is about the ceremony. He writes that he records intimate moments, loving looks and the promise for eternity, and that he films the civil ceremony "Mit diskretem Blick" (with a discreet eye). He says he prepares cameras, light and sound meticulously for the highest recording quality.

In the edit, he describes color correction, cutting and music choice coming together, and on the homepage he sets out his process in more detail: optimizing the footage (exposure, contrast, sharpness, color balance), cutting the clips into a clear narrative with transitions and B-roll, and a final color grade to set the visual style. Drone footage is presented as its own section of the wedding page.

A longer passage on the wedding page explains how he sees the job. He calls the wedding day the most precious moment in a couple's life and says that, as their videographer, he carries the responsibility of recording it. He promises to accompany the couple with a trained eye and an empathetic approach, catching every smile, every tear of emotion and every gesture of affection, and says videography lets him record moods and atmosphere, not only pictures. After the day, he writes, he edits every detail with care so the story is told as a film that lasts for generations.

What the site shows of his work

The wedding page has a film to watch with sound, a portfolio of short videos under the heading "Bodensee Videograf," and a video from a wedding fair at Schloss Seeburg in Thurgau, which gives couples a look at his work at a local venue. The homepage adds a short film with a model from Thurgau. The section on experience invites visitors to judge his skills from his own pictures and videos rather than from testimonials; the site quotes no client reviews, which is worth knowing for a couple who likes to read what past couples say.

The four packages

All four packages include a preliminary meeting, a licensed piece of music and a flat travel allowance of 50 km.

  • Bodensee Trauung, CHF 1500. 3 hours of video coverage, described as ideal for civil ceremonies with a welcome and aperitif. It delivers a film of 1 to 2 minutes. Drone shots are listed but not ticked for this package, so check whether they are included.
  • Bodensee Wedding, CHF 2900. 5 hours of coverage, from getting ready through the welcome, ceremony and aperitif. It delivers a film of 1 to 3 minutes and includes drone shots.
  • Matterhorn Wedding, CHF 3900. Up to 10 hours, a video reportage of the whole day including drone shots. It delivers a film of 2 to 5 minutes, and the photo booth can be added.
  • Matterhorn Hybrid, CHF 4990. 6 to 12 hours of video and photo coverage of the whole day, alternating between photography and film, with a 5-minute film, unlimited photos and drone shots.

Extras are also priced. Additional hours cost CHF 320 per hour, including editing. Each further 50 km beyond the included allowance costs CHF 50. A photo booth with 400 images to print on the spot and send costs CHF 700, and each further block of 400 images costs CHF 100. Filming can be done in Full HD or 4K on request.

Booking

Inquiries go through a short form on the site, which asks couples to pick the package they want (or "Sonstige," other) and whether they want the photo booth. The postal address is Reutistr. 13, 8280 Kreuzlingen. The site links to its terms (AGB), which a couple should read before booking.

What the site does not settle

The site is written entirely in German and does not say whether Pablo works in English. An English-speaking couple should ask on the form whether the preliminary meeting and the day itself can run in English.

The hybrid package is worth a closer look for a couple on a budget. Because the package alternates between photography and film, the site does not say how coverage is split between the two during key moments such as the vows, which is a sensible question to ask before choosing it over separate photographer and videographer bookings.

It does not state how long delivery takes, how the finished film is handed over, or whether a longer edit beyond the short film is available; the packages list only films of 1 to 5 minutes, which is a short format for couples who want the full ceremony and speeches on record. It gives no deposit or cancellation terms on the wedding page, and no booking lead time.

Travel is clear for distances near Kreuzlingen and gets more expensive in steps of 50 km beyond that. The package names, Bodensee and Matterhorn, are just names; the site does not say he regularly works in the Valais, so a couple marrying in the mountains should ask about travel, overnight stays and whether drone flights are possible at their venue.

Who it suits

Pablo Di Cagno suits couples marrying around Lake Constance and in eastern Switzerland who want to know the cost before they write, and couples who like a single booking that covers both photos and video in the hybrid package. The entry package fits a civil ceremony with a drinks reception. He is a harder fit for couples who want a long documentary film, or who need English-language service confirmed up front, since the site covers neither.
