RSH Traiteur Evenementiel

Tap a star to rate

RSH Traiteur Evenementiel is an event caterer based in Crissier, in the canton of Vaud, run by RSH Quality Food Concept SA. Its homepage describes it as "La haute gastronomie événementielle basé sur l'excellence", fine-dining event catering built on excellence, and weddings have their own section in the site's navigation. The company works across Switzerland and abroad, and it is aimed at couples who want restaurant-level cooking at a venue of their choice rather than a standard banquet.

Where it comes from

The about text on the homepage is headed "L'expérience 3 étoiles au service de la gastronomie événementielle", three-star experience in the service of event catering. It says that more than 25 years ago, "les 3 chefs Philippe Rochat, Lazare Saguer et Michel Hug" created RSH to bring fine dining to private and professional events.

The page claims that by making culinary art accessible "dans toute sa splendeur et dans toutes ses saveurs" (in all its splendor and all its flavors), RSH opened the doors of fine dining to the events world and became "le traiteur de référence de la haute gastronomie événementielle", the reference caterer for fine-dining events. That is the company's own description of itself. The page goes on to call RSH the essential partner for private and professional events, in Switzerland or abroad, able to combine "la création culinaire d'exception à un service basé sur l'excellence" (exceptional culinary creation with service built on excellence).

The wedding offer

The private events text opens with a wedding: "Un mariage à venir, le lancement d'un nouveau produit, ou la fête des collaborateurs de votre entreprise ?" (a wedding coming up, a product launch or a staff party?). It says the team can give advice and assistance with organizing the event, not only the food. The site's navigation backs that up with sections on service and organization, exceptional venues (Lieux d'exception), partners, the team, and values and commitments, alongside separate pages for private receptions, corporate receptions and weddings.

On reach, the homepage is specific: "profitez de notre mobilité dans toute la Suisse : Lausanne, Genève, Bâle, Zurich, Gstaad, Saint-Moritz, mais également partout dans le monde". RSH travels throughout Switzerland, naming Lausanne, Geneva, Basel, Zurich, Gstaad and St. Moritz, and also anywhere in the world. For a destination wedding in an alpine resort or a city far from Crissier, that list is the reason to consider it.

The Instagram posts shown on the homepage give a few more hints about the offer: posts on partner venues, on the company's cocktail pieces (pièces cocktail) and on products from its fine food shop for apéritifs. The navigation lists that shop as Épicerie fine.

What a wedding couple wrote

The homepage carries 4 testimonials. Three are short: Kim calls RSH "LE service traiteur à Genève", Frederic gives "5 étoiles minimum", and Brice praises the professional welcome. The fourth, signed Rachel, describes a wedding in detail, and it is worth reading closely.

The couple wanted something different: "pas de salle d'hôtel classique", no classic hotel function room. They needed a caterer and turned to RSH, "réputé pour être le meilleur à genève" (reputed to be the best in Geneva), in their words. They write that the team first understood their budget and their wishes and kept adapting "sans toutefois renier sur le niveau de qualité" (without compromising on the level of quality). The wedding was a cocktail dînatoire, a standing dinner of substantial cocktail pieces, and they describe it as perfect "de la quantité à la qualité", from quantity to quality, with kind, passionate and professional staff.

The last paragraph is the most useful for a couple with complicated guests. Some of their guests had allergies, one of them "mortellement à de nombreux ingrédients" (life-threateningly, to many ingredients), and they write that RSH adapted to them, put them at ease and gave them an excellent evening. That is one couple's account, not a policy statement, and the homepage publishes no allergen procedure of its own, and a couple with allergic guests should still set out every allergy in writing.

Contact and booking

The main call to action is "Demandez votre devis", request a quote, and there is an inquiries section (Demandes de renseignements) in the navigation. The office is at Ch. de la Colice 3, CP 208, CH-1023 Crissier/VD, open Monday to Friday from 09h00 to 12h00 and 13h00 to 17h00. Phone is +41 21 635 29 80 and email info@rsh-sa.com, and the site also offers contact via WhatsApp, which is handy for a couple writing from another country.

What the site does not settle

  • Language. The site is in French only and does not say whether the team plans events in English or German.
  • Prices. No prices, packages or minimum spend are published. The positioning points to the upper end of the market, but a quote is the only way to know.
  • Guest numbers. No minimum or maximum is given.
  • Included services. The homepage mentions organization and service staff through the testimonials, but does not list what a wedding quote covers, such as tableware, furniture or drinks. The service and organization section is the place to look.
  • Menus. No sample wedding menu appears on the homepage.
  • Terms. Deposit, cancellation and lead time are not stated.
  • The founders' role today. The page names the 3 founding chefs but does not say who runs the kitchen now or who would cook a given wedding. There is a team section in the navigation.

Who it suits

RSH suits couples with a generous budget who want fine-dining food at a venue that is not a hotel, whether a private house, a garden or a chalet in Gstaad or St. Moritz, and who value a caterer that also advises on organization. The wedding testimonial speaks well of its handling of severe allergies and of a couple's budget, and the stated reach across Switzerland and abroad suits destination weddings.

It is less suited to a couple looking for simple, traditional food or clear published prices. The site is also French only, so a couple who does not speak French should confirm the working language in the first message, and the WhatsApp option is a quick way to do that.
