SchminkfeeAtelier

Tap a star to rate

SchminkfeeAtelier is the children's face painting business of Reni Hueter, based at Brodlaube 9 in 4310 Rheinfelden in the canton of Aargau. The homepage offers "Professionelles Kinderschminken in Basel, Aargau, Solothurn und Zürich" (professional children's face painting in Basel, Aargau, Solothurn and Zurich) for big events, company functions, club festivals and children's birthdays, and describes turning children's faces into tigers, unicorns, princesses, superheroes or mythical creatures. Reni has been doing this since 2021. The site does not mention weddings, but its hourly pricing, per-child timings and mobile setup translate directly to a children's corner at a reception.

The person behind it

On the about page, Reni writes that she lives with her family in Rheinfelden, and that what began in 2021 as a hobby has become an established children's face painting business. She lists three things she brings to an event: speed with a wow effect (a transformation in at most seven minutes per child, so waiting times stay short), the glow in the children's eyes when they first look in the mirror, and a full professional service with high hygiene standards, professional materials and reliability.

The same page lists her further training, which is unusually detailed. It runs from a beginners' face painting workshop with Svetlana Keller in February 2021, through the Faba Suiss (Face and Body Art Swiss) workshops of November 2023 and January 2025, a master class in painting technique with Matteo Arfanotti in April 2024, a pre-class with Monique Lily and a master class on boys' motifs with Ludmyla Kotova in 2025, a make-up artist course, two online summit courses on technique and speed painting, a Halloween master class with Cindy Loridan on special effects, and a spring 2026 master class on flower techniques. The Faba Suiss 2025 workshop covered flowers and tiger and leopard patterns, among other topics.

Materials and setup

The homepage says Reni uses only vegan, dermatologically tested professional paints that are gentle on sensitive children's skin. The price page names the brands, Mehron, DFX and Superstar among others, and says they are used in line with the EU standard, alongside bio glitter and bling clusters. These are the business's own statements; parents of a child with a known skin condition should raise it directly.

The price page also sets out the service standards. The mobile workstation is described as hygienic and professional, and all tools are cleaned and disinfected after each job. Reni sets up half an hour before the booked time and packs down after the agreed end. Extra material such as a table, chair, lamps and a sign can be brought as needed, which helps at a venue where the couple does not want to borrow furniture from the caterer.

Prices

The price page is complete enough to budget from. All prices are in Swiss francs, and travel is charged at CHF 0.80 per km from Rheinfelden.

Kindergeburtstage (children's birthdays). CHF 100 per hour, minimum 2 hours, travel within 10 km of Rheinfelden included. Face jewelry is included. A maximum of 7 to 10 children per hour, at 5 to 7 minutes per child depending on the size of the design. Synthetic hair or hair jewelry costs a flat CHF 60 extra.

Grossanlässe, Firmen & Vereine (large events, companies and clubs). CHF 110 per hour, minimum 2 hours, plus a base fee of CHF 60 and travel. Face jewelry is included. A maximum of 12 children per hour, about 5 minutes per child. Synthetic hair or hair jewelry is available on top; the page gives no separate price for it at this tier.

Glitzer-Tattoos (glitter tattoos). CHF 110 per hour, minimum 2 hours, base fee CHF 60, plus travel. A maximum of 16 children per hour, 3 minutes per child. The homepage says they last up to 4 days.

Airbrush-Tattoo. CHF 120 per hour, minimum 2 hours, base fee CHF 60, plus travel. A maximum of 10 children per hour, about 6 minutes per child. The homepage calls them trendy and deceptively real, lasting up to 4 days. A custom design, such as a logo, is priced by effort, and for larger groups the page asks clients to get in touch.

Children's crafts are offered only at large and company events, and hair jewelry for guests is quoted on request. A wedding does not fit neatly into either the birthday or the event tier, so a couple should ask which one applies.

Where she works

The homepage lists her public appearances for 2026, which show the range: the Globus Glatt fashion day, the Gewerbeverein Seon anniversary, the Elternverein Aesch festival, a summer party at Theater Arlecchino Basel, craft sessions at the Spielzeugmuseum in Basel, a Coop stand at the Lakelive Festival in Biel, the Riehen national day celebration, a Raiffeisenbank Rheinfelden anniversary and the Countryfestival at Gasthaus Albisgüeti in Zurich. For a couple, that list is a practical reference: these are real bookings at public events of a few hours each, in the regions the site names.

References

The homepage quotes one client, Dominik B. from Riehen, who thanks Reni for painting the children with a lot of heart and for her commitment and kind manner. The references page thanks customers and names the Neue Oltner Zeitung, and there is a link to a further reference. None of the references shown here is from a wedding.

Booking

The contact page gives the phone number +41 76 396 00 28, the email address info@schminkfeeatelier.ch and a request form. The form asks for the type of event (company event, large event, club event, private event or other), the date, the place, the expected number of children and the services wanted, from face painting and glitter or airbrush tattoos to Halloween make-up, crafts and hair jewelry. The page promises a reply by email soon after. The menu also has a questions and answers page.

What the site leaves open

The site is in German and says nothing about which languages Reni works in. Face painting involves a short conversation with each child about the design, so a couple with English-speaking children should ask. The site does not mention weddings or give an example of wedding work. It does not state cancellation terms on the pages shown here, though the footer links to the terms (Impressum und AGB). And for a wedding it is not clear whether the birthday rate or the event rate with its base fee applies.

Who it suits

SchminkfeeAtelier suits a wedding in Basel, Aargau, Solothurn or Zurich with enough children to fill two hours, and a couple who wants to know the cost before asking: hourly rate, base fee, travel per km and the number of children per hour are all on the price page. The per-child timings make planning easy. With glitter tattoos at 16 children an hour, a large group can be served in a short slot during the apéro.

The caveats are the language question, the absence of wedding references, and the travel charge for a venue far from Rheinfelden. For a reception in the regions she names, it is a clearly priced, well-documented option.
