Fotobox-Pro
Tap a star to rate
Fotobox-Pro rents out a self-service photo booth that customers collect, set up and return themselves, from pickup points in Basel, Basel-Landschaft, Zurich, Bern, Lucerne, Aargau, Spiez and Langnau. The business behind it is Logis Digital GmbH, Hauptstrasse 117, 4450 Sissach. Its homepage calls it "Die günstigste Fotobox der Schweiz" (the cheapest photo booth in Switzerland), and the slogan sums up the model: "ABHOLEN - EINSCHALTEN - SPASS HABEN" (collect, switch on, have fun). Weddings are one of the four occasions the site is built around, alongside birthdays, parties and company events. The site is in German and runs as an online shop, so a booking is made and paid online like any other order.
How the model works
There is no delivery and no attendant in the standard offer. The couple, or a friend with a car, picks the booth up at the nearest location, sets it up at the venue and brings it back afterward. The site says the booth fits in any car and describes operation as "Einstecken, Anschalten, Fertig" (plug in, switch on, done). Reviews back that up: customers mention easy collection and return, simple setup, clear instructions and an easy download of the photos afterward. One reviewer adds a practical tip to be sure to fit the flash deflector. The reviews shown on the page run from January to the end of August 2026, 49 in all, so this is a booth in steady use.
That model keeps the price low, and it suits a wedding party with a reliable helper. It suits less well a couple flying in for the wedding with nobody local to fetch and return the booth.
Packages and prices
There are two packages, both flat rates, and the site promises fair prices, transparent performance and no hidden costs:
- FOTOBOX-PRO WEEKEND (Fr-Mo), CHF 299, from Friday to Monday. The page shows 4.73 out of 5 from 37 reviews.
- FOTOBOX-PRO 1 TAG (Mo-Do), one day from Monday to Thursday, CHF 149, reduced from CHF 179. The page shows 5.0 from 10 reviews.
For a Saturday wedding the weekend package is the one that applies, and the Friday pickup and Monday return leave time on both sides. The one-day price suits a weekday celebration.
What the booth does
The homepage lists the features briefly. The booth has an internal flash and a DSLR camera, and guests can take as many digital pictures as they want. Photos can be shared by email or WhatsApp, and there is an online gallery with sharing that stays online for one year. Instant printing can be added on request, and the site says it can also be booked as unlimited printing. Company customers get branding options. Cancellation is free up to 14 days before pickup.
The reviews give a sense of the results. One customer who has rented twice praises the simple instructions and is "sehr zufrieden mit den Fotos" (very happy with the photos). Another writes "Die Fotobox war das Highlight der Party. Jung und Alt hatten Spass." (The photo booth was the highlight of the party; young and old had fun.) A third lists easy pickup and return, easy setup and photo download, very good image quality including a photo slideshow, and a lot of fun. One mentions a good printer; another rented the version without a printer and was completely satisfied. A longer review says the device worked flawlessly and reliably, and that the customers were struck by how simple the operation was and how well everything had been thought out.
The occasions it is pitched at
The homepage has a short section for each kind of event. For weddings it promises emotional pictures, loving memories and fun for all generations. For birthdays it talks about quality in small and large circles and group shots with friends; for parties and events, laughter, closeness and memorable moments; for company parties and team events, team spirit and fresh energy, with branding options included. The same booth and the same two packages serve all of them, so a couple is renting exactly what a birthday host or a company would, and any wedding touches (a backdrop, props, names and date on the prints) have to be asked about. The footer also links to a sponsoring page and lists the accepted payment methods for the online shop.
Support and flexibility
Self-service does not mean no help. One detailed review describes a small technical problem during the party, probably because the box had been unplugged briefly and the calibration was off, and says technical support was there at once and sorted it out easily. The same customer had to move the party by a day at short notice and was allowed to collect the box earlier than agreed. Another reviewer had a moment of uncertainty during setup that was cleared up without needing support. A company that had the booth for 6 days at a trade fair also praises the service.
What the homepage leaves open
The homepage asks "Was ist mit dem Fotobox Hintergrund?" (what about the backdrop?) without answering it there, and it does not describe props, print layouts or personalization for a wedding. It does not give the price of the printing option. It does not say whether a deposit is taken, what happens with a cancellation inside 14 days, or what happens if the booth is damaged; the site links to terms and conditions, shipping conditions, returns and cancellation, and a page on changing the paper, which may cover these. It does not say whether the booth can be used outdoors. The site is in German and says nothing about English. Contact is info@fotobox-pro.ch or +41 79 439 86 97, and there is an FAQ.
Who it suits
Fotobox-Pro suits couples on a budget who have someone to collect and return the booth, and who live or marry near one of the eight pickup points. For CHF 299 the booth is theirs for the whole wedding weekend, with unlimited digital photos and a gallery that stays online for a year, and the reviews suggest setup really is simple. Couples who want prints should ask the printing price first. Couples arriving from abroad without a car, or who want someone else to run the booth, will need a local helper to make the pickup model work.
