MySelfieBooth
Tap a star to rate
MySelfieBooth rents self-service photo booths and audio guestbooks for weddings, birthdays and company parties, collected from a network of pickup stations between Geneva and Bern or sent anywhere in Switzerland by post. The company, MySelfieBooth Sàrl, has been running since 2019, says it has over 50 photo booths at 10 pickup points, and publishes two simple packages from CHF 269. The German-language site is the version described here.
Two packages
The homepage keeps the choice short.
The "Selfie" Pack, from CHF 269, is fully digital: unlimited photos and GIFs, photo filters and virtual props on screen, sharing by email and QR code straight from the booth, an online photo gallery for 30 days, and rental for the whole weekend or two days during the week. It has no printer.
The "Fiesta" Pack, CHF 359, is the complete package: everything in Selfie plus a mini printer with 200 photos in 10 x 15 cm. The Bern page describes it as a Canon printer set for 200 photos, and both packs there list a "4G-Sharing" function for the email and QR sharing.
For a wedding, the Fiesta Pack is the obvious choice, since guests take a print home. With 200 prints, a larger wedding should ask whether extra paper can be added.
How it looks and works on the day
The Bern page describes the Classic booth as elegant and versatile, with a plain, neat look meant to blend into any setting, and the homepage says the company combines modern technology with a stylish design so the booth fits into the decoration. Guests trigger the shot with a simple touch of the screen and, with the Fiesta Pack, get their printed photo straight away. The homepage sums up the process in 3 steps: choose the pack, collect the booth or have it sent, then plug it in, set it up and smile.
The homepage's own list of reasons to choose it reads like a checklist: unlimited photos and GIFs, the 10 x 15 print format, installation in a few minutes, sharing by QR code directly from the booth, and delivery anywhere in Switzerland by post. It speaks of hundreds of events that have used MySelfieBooth, and of a full service whether for a small wedding in Murten, a large company party in Zurich or a birthday in Bern.
Help with planning
The site runs a blog with articles relevant to a wedding. One walks through a photo booth setup at a boho-style wedding, with staging ideas and printing options. Another explains how to organize a photo activity at a wedding without stress, covering the location, the equipment, the timing and simple ideas to get guests involved. The Bern page also links to a search for a wedding photographer in Bern, for couples who want professional coverage alongside the booth.
The AI option
A newer add-on, "IA BOOTH +", costs CHF 99. The software restyles guests' portraits in real time, applying themed styles in a few seconds. The Bern page gives examples: guests see themselves as a race driver, a film star or an adventurer, and it says the curiosity about how they will look draws an excited queue in front of the booth.
The Bern page also mentions personalized photo frames, with first names, the event date or a company logo on every print, and says the customer receives all the digital files after the event in addition to the prints on the day.
Pickup, post or a technician
There are three ways to get the booth. Couples can collect it from a pickup station, have it sent by post and send it back afterwards (the PostPac option), or book delivery, installation and collection by a technician, which the site says is available on request. The homepage describes installation as ready in a few minutes: plug in, set up, smile.
The station list differs slightly between pages. The homepage names Fribourg, Chénens, Estavayer-le-Lac, Montcherand, Ropraz, Préverenges, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Mies, Biel and Bern, and the menu also lists Geneva and Poliez-Pittet. A couple should check which station is nearest when they book.
The Bern station is run by Vinzenz Batt of BlubaX GmbH at Brunnadernstrasse 68 in Bern. The Bern page says it is about 5 minutes from the motorway, easy to reach and has parking, so the equipment can be picked up without driving into the city center. It holds 3 booths from the Classic range, and the page notes that pickup is also possible in Fribourg.
The audio guestbook
MySelfieBooth also rents audio guestbooks: an elegant retro telephone into which guests speak messages, which are delivered on an exclusive USB stick. The price, including shipping and return by post, is CHF 159. The site also lists a "Fotobox PRO" in its menu, but the homepage gives no details or price for it.
Contact and language
Contact is by email at info@myselfiebooth.ch or by phone on 021 566 11 09, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 to 17:00. Booking runs online through the site's booking buttons. The German site mixes in some French (one step heading on the homepage is still in French), and the company is a Sàrl, the French-language form of a limited company. Nothing on the site mentions English, so couples who want to arrange the rental in English should ask by email first.
What the site does not settle
The site does not publish the price of PostPac shipping for the photo booth or of the technician service, or say whether a technician can stay at the event. It does not say how many guests one booth suits, what space the booth needs, whether it can stand outdoors, or what happens if something fails during the party, and it gives no deposit or cancellation rule on these pages. The 30-day gallery is short, so couples should download the files promptly after the wedding.
Who it suits
MySelfieBooth suits couples in Romandie or the Bern area who are comfortable collecting a booth, setting it up themselves and returning it, and who want a clear, low starting price. The weekend rental suits a Saturday wedding well, and the post option opens it up to couples far from any station. The AI option is a fun extra for a relaxed crowd.
It suits less well a couple who wants a staffed booth or a higher print volume as standard. The Fiesta Pack's 200 prints can run out at a large wedding, and the technician service has to be arranged and priced on request.
