André Müller SA

Tap a star to rate

André Müller SA is a tent and modular structure company with two bases in French-speaking Switzerland: Route de Romanoche 51 in 1696 Vuisternens-en-Ogoz in the canton of Fribourg, and Z. I. Les Chintres 1 in 1115 Vuillerens in the canton of Vaud. Its site calls it "le constructeur du modulaire" (the modular builder) and says it has more than 65 years of experience in industrial structures and tent rental. The event tent page names weddings directly: "Qu'il s'agisse d'une réception, d'un mariage, d'une présentation publique ou d'un grand festival, nous avons la solution idéale pour vous" (whether it is a reception, a wedding, a public presentation or a big festival, we have the ideal solution for you).

The event tents

The event tent page opens with the promise of a "solution 100% personnalisée" (fully customized solution) and lists the general specifications of its structures:

  • spans from 2 to 46 meters depending on the structure model
  • side heights from 2.3 to 6 meters
  • length adjustable in bays of 3 and 5 meters
  • anchoring into the ground or ballast weights, depending on the ground
  • fire-compliant tarpaulins ("bâches conformes anti-feu")

For a wedding, those numbers translate into a wide choice. A narrow span with low sides makes a small garden tent; a wide span with high sides and a long run of bays makes a hall for a large reception. The option of ballast instead of ground anchors matters for a couple who wants a tent on a paved courtyard, a terrace or a lawn where the owner will not allow stakes, and it is worth raising at the first contact.

The options list covers the look and comfort of the tent. The roof can be translucent, opaque, black or crystal (clear). The side curtains come in white, black or crystal, with windows. Doors, stairs and access ramps are available, the floor comes with or without carpet, and the list continues with interior fittings, various furniture, heating and lighting. A clear roof and clear sides make a very different wedding tent from an opaque white one, and a black roof suits an evening party with lighting; the site leaves that choice to the client.

Special formats

Beyond the standard structures, the site offers combinations with special formats: "pagodes, tonelles, tentes oblongues, dômes, étoiles, structures à deux ou trois étages et bien plus encore" (pagodas, arbors, oblong tents, domes, star tents, two- or three-story structures and much more). For a wedding, a pagoda or star tent beside the main structure can hold the bar, the aperitif or the ceremony, and a two-story structure is an option where the site is small.

The complements range adds floors, podiums, grandstands, heaters, tables and benches and other accessories. The main menu also lists containers, modular structures, grandstands, and podiums and floors as separate product lines, which shows the scale of the company: it builds for festivals, industry and construction sites as well as for private events. The industrial and construction pages list the same span and height ranges, with extra options such as sandwich panels and roller doors.

Putting a wedding request together

Because the site gives specifications rather than packages, the quote request does the work. The option list suggests what to include: the ground at the site (lawn, gravel or paved, and whether stakes are allowed), the look wanted for the roof and sides, whether a wooden floor with or without carpet is needed, how many entrances, and whether any guests need a ramp. Add heating and lighting for an evening reception or a date outside high summer, the furniture wanted from the company, and any extra structure for a bar, a ceremony or a lounge. With that, the technical team the site mentions has what it needs to propose a size and layout.

Where it works

The pages list five cantons under "Vous nous avez déjà vu ici" (you have already seen us here): Fribourg, Vaud, Geneva, Valais and Jura. The event tent page shows two past installations by name, one at Thônex and one at the Comptoir Oron in Vaud. The site does not say whether it works outside those cantons, or how transport is charged.

Contact and quotes

The Fribourg base is reached on +41 26 411 21 61 or info@muller-amv.ch, and the Vaud base on +41 21 312 21 61 or info@muller-vd.ch. Each page carries a "Demandez un devis" (request a quote) button, and the site says its technical team proposes solutions tailored to the client's needs. No prices are published anywhere on the pages shown here.

The site is in French, and it says nothing about English. A couple from abroad should write in English or French by email and see how the reply comes back.

What the site leaves open

  • Price. None is published; every tent is quoted.
  • Capacity. The site gives spans, heights and bay lengths, not guest numbers per tent. A couple should give the guest count and the table layout (seated dinner, standing aperitif, dance floor) and let the company propose a size.
  • Timing. No lead time, setup time or takedown time is given. For a wedding, the question is how many days before and after the event the tent stands on the site.
  • Terms. No deposit or cancellation terms appear on the pages shown here.
  • Permits. The site mentions fire-compliant tarpaulins but says nothing about permits for temporary structures. Whether a permit is needed for a tent on a given site, and who applies for it, is a question for the company and the landowner.
  • Language. French only on the site.

Who it suits

André Müller SA suits a couple planning a tent wedding in Fribourg, Vaud, Geneva, Valais or Jura who wants a structure built to the site rather than a standard party tent off the shelf. The range of spans, heights and bay lengths covers a small garden reception and a very large one, and the special formats and the choice of clear, black or white roofs let a couple shape the look of the tent. Heating, lighting, floors and furniture come from the same company.

It suits less well a couple who wants a published price or a quick online quote; this is a quote-based company with a technical team, and the site is written as much for industry and festivals as for private clients. A couple marrying outside the five cantons the site names should ask first whether the company travels that far.
