Festzelt Embrach AG

Tap a star to rate

Festzelt Embrach AG is a tent rental company at Hardstrasse 10 in Embrach, in the canton of Zurich. It says it has more than 40 years of experience in tent building and rents party tents, wedding tents and larger structures for weddings, company parties, club events, village festivals, birthdays, anniversaries and exhibitions, from 10 to 2,000 people. The tent comes with everything that goes inside it: floors, stages, tables, chairs, heating, lighting and carpets.

The service model and what is included

The home page puts the offer in one line: "Das Fest und die Gäste besorgen Sie, wir bringen den Rest" (you provide the party and the guests, we bring the rest). Tents are rented for every kind of occasion, and the company stresses that its solutions are tailored to each event rather than sold off a fixed list.

The emphasis is on one supplier for everything. The site describes its service as all from a single source ("Alles aus einer Hand"), with tents including furniture, floors, stages, lighting, heating and other event equipment. The FAQ confirms that beyond the tents you can rent tables, chairs, stages, floors, heaters, carpets, lighting and more, and that the team handles the planning as well as the professional assembly and dismantling of the tents, so the hosts can concentrate on the event. An experienced team, the site says, accompanies the client from planning to setup and teardown.

For a couple planning a wedding from abroad, that combination matters. Coordinating a tent from one company, a floor from a second and furniture from a third is hard to do remotely, and here one quote covers the lot.

The home page sums up the company's attitude in its own words: "Mit über 40 Jahren Erfahrung im Zeltbau erfüllen wir fast alle Ihre Wünsche" (with more than 40 years of experience in tent building, we fulfill almost all your wishes). It also describes itself as professional and good value ("professionell und preiswert"). Asked in its own FAQ why a client should choose it, the company gives four reasons: the experience, high-quality tents, complete event equipment and a reliable all-round service for events of any size, from a small garden party to a major event. It also keeps Instagram and LinkedIn accounts linked from the site.

Tents and furnishings on offer

The site's menu names the tent range:

  • party tent and wedding tent (Partyzelt / Hochzeitszelt)
  • crossover tent
  • peaked pagoda tent (Spitzzelt)
  • scissor tent (Scherenzelt)
  • large tent (Grosszelt)
  • storage tents and pool covers

The fittings are listed separately: festival benches and tables, chairs, lighting, heating, bar elements, outdoor furniture, and stages and platforms, plus floors, carpets in various colors and crowd barriers. There is also a shop section for tent furnishings. The FAQ says a tent can be fitted out individually, including floor, lighting, heating, stage, furniture, carpet and other event technology.

The site does not publish the dimensions or capacity of each tent type. The overall range is stated clearly, 10 to 2,000 people, and the FAQ says each solution is matched to the event. For a wedding, that means the team works out the size from your guest count and layout.

How booking and planning work

The FAQ explains the process. You send your occasion, the event date, the location and the approximate number of guests, either through the inquiry form or by phone on 044 865 65 00, and the company prepares a non-binding quote. The home page also invites you to call to arrange an appointment. Email goes to info@festzeltembrach.ch.

On timing, the FAQ is direct: especially in the summer months and during the wedding season, it recommends reserving as early as possible, so that the tent size and accessories you want can be guaranteed.

On cost, the FAQ says rental prices depend on the size of the tent, the rental period, the event location and the equipment chosen, and that quotes are individual and non-binding.

Where it works

The site names places where it has already delivered tents: Zurich, Winterthur, Neftenbach, Kloten, Embrach and Illnau-Effretikon. It describes itself as located near Pfungen, Dättlikon, Winkel, Bachenbülach, Höri, Hochfelden, Glattfelden, Eglisau, Hettlingen, Niederglatt, Oberglatt and Kloten, and invites inquiries from places such as Bülach, Regensdorf, Zurich Oerlikon, Volketswil, Dübendorf, Turbenthal, Seuzach, Wiesendangen, Frauenfeld, Matzingen and Wil SG. Taken together, that is a wide area around Zurich and Winterthur, reaching as far as Frauenfeld and Wil SG. The site does not say whether it travels beyond that area or what distance adds to the price.

What couples from abroad should know

The site is in German and says nothing about English, so ask when you first call or write whether the planning can run in English. There is a gallery and a references page in the menu, which give a sense of past setups; browse them before your first conversation so you can point to the look you want.

The company has an AGB (general terms) page, but the home page itself does not set out payment terms, deposits, cancellation rules or what happens if bad weather forces changes. Ask for those in writing with the quote.

What remains to confirm

  • Prices. None are published. The quote depends on tent size, rental period, location and equipment.
  • Exact tent sizes. Only the overall 10 to 2,000 guest range is given. Ask which tent type and size suits your number of guests, seated or standing.
  • Catering and decor. The site covers the tent and its furnishings, and does not mention catering, flowers or decoration beyond carpets, lighting and bar elements.
  • Language. German only on the site.
  • Terms. Read the AGB page and ask about deposits and cancellation.

Who it suits

Festzelt Embrach suits couples marrying in and around Zurich and Winterthur, or in the towns the site names out to Frauenfeld and Wil, who want a tent supplier that also brings floors, heating, lighting, stages and furniture, and handles planning, setup and dismantling. The size range covers anything from a garden celebration to a very large wedding.

It suits less well couples marrying far from the Zurich area, anyone who needs published prices or an English website, or a couple who want catering and decoration from the same company. The main task for a couple from abroad is to book early for a summer date and to settle the language and terms at the start.
