BvK Events

Tap a star to rate

BvK Events is an event rental and entertainment company based in Yverdon-les-Bains, in the canton of Vaud, with a logistics site in Areuse near Neuchâtel. Its rental catalog runs from inflatables and fairground rides to themed decor, furniture, tents and sound, and one section is photobooths. The photobooth page lists weddings first among the occasions it suits and gives a published price: "1 jour : CHF 1050.-", one day for CHF 1050. The site is in French, and the company delivers "partout en Suisse romande", everywhere in French-speaking Switzerland.

The photobooth

The photobooth page is short and practical. The price is CHF 1050 for 1 day; several days are available on request, as is a "forfait avec nombre de photos comprises", a package with a set number of photos included. The booth comes with masks, hats and accessories of all kinds, and can be used with or without costumes and with or without a backdrop.

Couples can pick a decor from the company's range or have one developed for them, and BvK can print custom backdrops with a motif of the couple's choice, the page naming a landscape, logos or an image. The couple decides how many photos are printed, or how many are sent by email to each person photographed, and icons, frames, images or text can be added to the photos before printing or sending. The page opens with the countdown "3, 2, 1, souriez", smile, which sums up the tone.

Photoboxes and themed backdrops

Next to the photobooth, the catalog has a "Photobox" subcategory. These are decorated sets rather than camera booths: the page for the Photobox « Bain des canards » (duck bath) and the one for the Photobox « bombe de tag » (spray-paint tag) both describe them as fun playgrounds for selfie fans, used with a ring light or simply with guests holding their own phone or camera at arm's length, with different backgrounds setting the mood. They are listed at CHF 2000 each in the related-products panels, as are a « bandes dessinées » (comic strip) photobox, a « supermarché » photobox and a football photobooth.

Printed backdrops are cheaper: a Circus photocall print and a football stadium print at CHF 250, and a Japanese printed backdrop at CHF 800. For a winter wedding there is a red open chairlift, the « Télésiège rouge », available in several copies and installable on the ground or suspended to create what the page calls a mountain atmosphere, and a vintage gondola cabin at CHF 700. The photobooth category counts 17 products in all, split into photo corners, winter photobooths, photoboxes and printed canvases.

Choosing between them

For a wedding, the practical choice is between the photobooth, which takes and prints or emails the photos itself, and the photoboxes and printed backdrops, which are sets for guests to photograph themselves with their own phones. The photobooth is the one that leaves guests with a print on the night. A photobox or printed backdrop is more of a decor piece and a selfie corner; the photobox pages describe no printing. Some couples may want both: the booth for prints and a themed backdrop as a second photo spot.

Other rentals for a wedding

Because BvK is a general event rental company, the same catalog lists items a couple may need beyond the photobooth: artificial trees, flowers and greenery, bars, arbors, chalets and straw-roof huts, furniture including chairs, tables and parasols, tents and marquees, sound and lighting, a disco setup and food trucks under event catering. Children's attractions such as inflatables and games are there too, which can help at a wedding with many young guests. Prices for these are on their own product pages.

Ownership and delivery

Every product page carries the line "Le 100% appartient à BvK": everything rented out belongs to the company, with no sub-rental. For a couple, that means the equipment comes from the company that quotes it rather than being passed on from another supplier. Delivery is on request across French-speaking Switzerland. The site also says BvK builds certified custom attractions to order, and an eco-responsibility page opens with the statement that the environmental impact of the event industry is a reality the company wants to address with more responsible solutions.

Contact

The site gives regional phone numbers for Vaud (024 445 60 34), Geneva (022 300 02 72) and Neuchâtel (032 846 17 70), a national mobile (079 916 98 00) and the email info@bvkevents.ch. The addresses are the office at Rue des Uttins 34b in Yverdon-les-Bains, a logistics depot at Z.i des Uttins 34 in Yverdon, and a logistics depot at Clos Roset 4 in Areuse. There is no Geneva address on the pages; Geneva has a phone line only. Each product page has a "Contactez-nous" button, and the site has pages on the company, its team and its general terms.

What the site does not settle

The photobooth page does not say whether a staff member stays with the booth during the event or whether it runs on its own after setup, how long setup takes, how much space and power it needs, or how many hours the one-day price covers. It gives no price for the packages with prints included, and does not say whether delivery is included in the CHF 1050 or charged by distance. It does not describe the camera or printer.

The site is in French and does not say whether the team works in English. Wedding examples are not shown: the page lists weddings as an occasion but carries no photos or reviews from weddings. The 3 regional numbers make phoning easy for a Swiss resident, and a couple abroad may find the email address the simpler route.

Who it suits

BvK Events suits couples marrying in Vaud, Neuchâtel, Geneva or elsewhere in French-speaking Switzerland who want a photobooth with a published price and the option of a custom-printed backdrop, and particularly those drawn to something more theatrical: a themed photobox, a printed set or, for a winter wedding, a red chairlift for the photo corner. Because the same company rents furniture, tents, bars and lighting, a couple can also ask for several items in one quote. The caveats are the lack of detail on staffing and delivery, the French-only site, and the fact that the company is a general event rental business rather than a wedding specialist, so the wedding brief needs to be spelled out.
