Fotofreude rents out two self-service photo booths from Syrengasse 29 in 3507 Biglen, for weddings, company events, Christmas dinners and birthdays, and delivers them anywhere in Switzerland. The site has local pages for Bern, Thun, Burgdorf, the Emmental, the Oberaargau, Solothurn, Biel and the Bernese Oberland. The reviews name Ueli and Karin as the people behind it, and the site's footer names Kramer Multimedia Solutions. The site is in German and unusually complete: prices, delivery charges by town, space and power needs, and lead times are all published.

The two booths

The pitch is three short sentences on the homepage: "Knopf drücken. Lachen. Foto in der Hand." (Press the button. Laugh. Photo in hand.) Fotofreude delivers and sets up the box, and guests operate it themselves. Seconds later the print comes out, in 10×15 cm or as a strip, with the couple's names, the date or a logo.

  • Fotobox Lite, CHF 229 per day: an iPad with a ring light and 100 prints.
  • Fotobox Pro, CHF 399 per day: a Canon camera and 200 prints, also available as strips.

Both include an individual print layout and start screen designed for the event, and a props box with glasses, hats and signs. Digital photos are unlimited on both, and guests can download them by QR code. The wedding page recommends the Pro for most weddings and says the Lite is enough for smaller celebrations. The same page states that a wedding uses "Rund 180 Drucke pro Hochzeit" (around 180 prints per wedding), which is worth setting against the 200 prints the Pro includes.

The wedding pitch

The wedding page makes the case in its own voice. Wedding photographers are great, it says, but they cannot be everywhere, and the booth fills the gap with spontaneous, odd, honest moments that end up stuck on the fridge. It lists what couples get: an explanation that takes five seconds, even for the grandparents; a layout with the date, names or a hashtag; punctual delivery and quiet setup; the QR code for guests; the VoixBox as an audio guestbook; and the Druckfrisch app. Three short arguments follow. The booth is an icebreaker, so that an aunt and a brother who have never met are friends by their third print together. Guests get a real photo in hand, unlike a phone picture, to take home or stick in the guest book. And there is no stress before the apéro, because the team arrives on time, sets up quietly and disappears again. The homepage also notes that the service is recommended by EventButler.

Extras

Extras can be added even after the enquiry: the VoixBox, a vintage telephone for spoken wishes that works as an audio guestbook, CHF 69; the Druckfrisch app, which lets guests print photos from their own phones at a separate print station, CHF 199; a fabric backdrop system in four motifs (gold, rosé, flowers or glitter), also for the Lite, CHF 75; a white studio-look backdrop, CHF 35; and 50 extra prints, bookable as often as needed, CHF 35. The planner page adds that the print layout can be designed to match the stationery and decoration: couples send colors, fonts or the invitation, and a draft comes before the wedding, adjusted until it fits. The FAQ says the print template arrives a week before the event for approval.

Delivery and collection

Collecting the box in Biglen is free, usually the day before, with return the day after, at times agreed with you. Delivery with setup and dismantling is charged by distance from Biglen, from CHF 80, and setup is always free with delivery. The price page gives examples: Langnau im Emmental 17 km, about 20 minutes, CHF 105; Burgdorf 18 km and Bern 19 km, both about 25 minutes, CHF 105; Thun 24 km, about 30 minutes, CHF 115; Langenthal 42 km, CHF 140; Interlaken 52 km, CHF 155; Solothurn and Biel/Bienne 57 km, CHF 160. The enquiry calculates the exact price for your address before you send it. Delivery or pickup is possible the day before, with dismantling or return the day after.

On the day

The planner page lists the practical details. The booth needs about 2 × 2 meters, or 2.5 × 2.5 meters with a backdrop, indoors or under a roof. It needs one normal socket nearby, and no WiFi, since the gallery loads over the mobile network. Setup takes around 30 minutes, usually before the guests arrive (the wedding page promises 15 minutes, before the apéro), and pickup is the next day or at the end of the evening, as the venue prefers. The booth is self-service and needs no staff; Fotofreude is reachable by phone all day and night. One wedding couple writes that they did the setup and dismantling themselves with a very good set of instructions, and a company client had the box delivered by post, well packed and on time.

Booking and lead time

The enquiry takes two minutes and shows free dates live, day by day. A fixed quote comes within 2 hours on weekdays and usually the same day at weekends, the contract is signed online, and a reservation holds the date for a week. The most important line for a couple from abroad is on the planner page: Saturdays from May to September are often gone a year in advance. Wedding planners who refer a couple receive a 20 % commission, which they can pass on to the couple as a discount. Contact is 033 511 70 71, WhatsApp or kontakt@fotofreude.ch.

Reviews

The site shows 5.0 from 25 Google reviews. Wedding reviews from 2025 and 2026 praise the photo quality, the smooth delivery and pickup, and quick, pleasant communication with Ueli. One English-language review, from a birthday, calls the booth "a hit, custom options and easy to use" and praises "fast communication".

What the site leaves open

The site publishes no cancellation terms and says nothing about English, although one of the reviews on the site is written in English; write in English and see how the reply comes back. It does not say whether the price per day changes for a two-day celebration.

Who it suits

Fotofreude suits couples in the Bern region and beyond who want clear prices and no staff costs. For a wedding of around 180 prints, the Pro with its 200 prints is the natural choice. Couples planning a summer Saturday should enquire very early, and couples marrying further from Biglen can see the delivery price in the enquiry before committing.
