KUBI Photobooth

Tap a star to rate

KUBI Photobooth is a solid-wood photo booth rental based in Lausanne, designed and assembled in Switzerland, that comes with an operator on site for weddings, corporate parties and birthdays. Every package includes delivery, setup and pickup, unlimited prints and a private online gallery, and the site publishes three fixed prices, starting at CHF 890. The site has an English version and says its hosting runs in French, German, English and Italian, which makes it one of the easier booth suppliers in Switzerland for a couple planning from abroad.

The booth and the service

KUBI's pitch is that it is "not a tablet on a tripod". The booth is built from solid wood and meant to look good in an elegant room, with a Canon camera, studio lighting and a professional printer that produces a print in under 10 seconds. Prints are on professional photo paper in 10×15 cm, and the FAQ confirms they are unlimited in every package. Guests use an intuitive touchscreen, and they also get a QR code to download their photos in HD from the online gallery.

The service side matters as much as the hardware. A dedicated KUBI operator is on site for the event, the team prepares, sets up and tunes the booth beforehand, and the FAQ says the equipment is checked and tested before every event, with backup equipment available for all events. For a couple, that means nobody from the wedding party has to babysit the booth or fix a paper jam at midnight.

The site sets out the process in three steps. First the couple sends the date and the type of event and gets a clear answer within 24 hours, with no commitment. Then KUBI recommends a package based on the venue, the guests and the couple's wishes, with a photo frame personalized to their colors. On the day, the booth is delivered and set up, the operator runs it, and the online gallery follows right after. The site's service pages cover wedding, corporate and birthday booths as well as a vintage photo booth and a wedding selfie booth, and it links a reviews page and a blog.

Three packages with published prices

Prices are per event and exclude VAT.

Classic, 890 CHF, runs for 3 hours and is pitched at birthdays, private parties and a chic apéro. The card lists a solid-color backdrop, a standard frame design, fun props and an online gallery for 30 days.

Signature, 1390 CHF, runs for 5 hours and is the most chosen package, recommended for weddings, VIP parties and corporate galas. It adds a backdrop in a color or pattern, a custom frame design, premium props, photo magnets with envelopes and a gallery kept for 6 months.

Excellence, 1890 CHF, runs for 8 hours, a full evening, and is aimed at a grand wedding, galas and prestige events. It brings a premium custom backdrop, a fully custom frame, VIP custom photo magnets, a permanent gallery, and the KUBI souvenir film: a professional video montage of the best moments in the booth, with music to match, in vertical format for social media, delivered as an HD download within 7 days. The FAQ says the film is exclusive to this package.

All three cards list the solid-wood booth, delivery, setup and operator, unlimited prints, photo magnets and a physical guestbook among their rows. The FAQ also says a custom photo frame with logo, colors, text and date is included, with the graphic design in the price, while the Classic card itself lists a standard frame, so a couple on the smallest package should confirm what the frame covers.

Coverage, space and booking

The site describes its coverage in more than one way. The headline says "available across French-speaking Switzerland", the locations section adds German Switzerland and lists towns from Geneva, Montreux and Sion to Bern, Zürich, Basel and Lugano, and the FAQ says it covers all of Western Switzerland with delivery, setup and pickup included and no extra fees. A couple marrying in German-speaking or Italian-speaking Switzerland should confirm that delivery to their venue carries no surcharge.

The Classic booth needs about 2 m × 2 m, and the FAQ invites couples to share the floor plan to find the best layout.

Booking starts with a date check on the form, which asks for the event date, type of event, a phone or WhatsApp number (with country codes from Switzerland and much of Europe) and the number of guests, in brackets from 10–25 to 80+. KUBI promises an answer within 24 hours and a detailed quote within hours. A 30% deposit confirms the booking, the balance is due 7 days before the event, and payment is by bank transfer or Twint. Cancellation is free up to 30 days before the event; after that, the 30% deposit is kept. A date can be moved free of charge, subject to availability. Contact is by phone on +41 76 766 00 02 or by WhatsApp.

The FAQ recommends booking 2 to 4 weeks ahead for private events and 1 to 2 months ahead for weddings or large corporate events, and says last-minute availability exists.

What the site leaves open

The site does not say whether the booth can be set up outdoors or what protection it needs, so a garden reception should raise that. It does not give the camera or printer model. It lists no add-on prices beyond the three packages, and it does not say what happens if the party runs past the package's hours. For corporate clients, it mentions a separate offer with a cloud gallery the day after, branding and reporting, quoted individually.

Who it suits

KUBI suits couples who want a staffed, good-looking booth and a clear price before they start talking, and especially international couples: the English site, hosting in four languages, a 24-hour reply and a written cancellation rule remove most of the friction of booking from abroad. The Signature package is the one the business itself recommends for weddings, with 5 hours and a 6-month gallery.

It is not the budget option. A couple who only wants a simple self-service booth for a few hours will pay for design and service they may not need, and couples outside Romandie should confirm coverage and delivery for their venue before they settle on it.
