MarinoBox is a photo booth rental business in Lausanne, active since 2017, that delivers, installs and collects its booths across French-speaking Switzerland. It runs 5 photo booths and 1 video booth, and the man behind it, Marino Trevisani, is an event photographer; the site claims more than 9 years in photo booth rental and 20 years of professional event photography. Weddings head the list of occasions, alongside company parties, birthdays, baby showers, graduations, seminars and product launches.

Three formats

The site presents three products.

MarinoBox Classic is the standard selfie booth, described as reliable and intuitive, with prints in hand straight away. It includes up to 400 prints in 10 × 15 plus the digital photos, basic personalization of the prints (a strip with text or an image), a full configuration of the booth to the event's needs with a multilingual interface, and delivery, installation and collection in French-speaking Switzerland.

MarinoBox Compact is a smaller, elegant booth for tight spaces, which the site says makes no compromise on print quality or the guest experience. It also offers up to 400 prints in 10 × 15, a customizable print design, tailored settings (number of prints, how it runs, language), full logistics in French-speaking Switzerland and a download link for the photos.

MarinoBox 360° is a video booth, which the site describes as a spectacular, immersive animation that turns guests into stars with dynamic videos they can share instantly. Unlike the other two, it comes with a dedicated host or hostess who installs it, runs the animation and dismantles it. The staging includes professional lighting, gold posts and red fabric, and the video can be personalized with a loop, the client's visuals and music. Guests download their clip instantly by QR code, and all videos are sent after the event.

Across all three, the site says the backgrounds and the interface can be personalized, and lighting, branding or props can be added to build an animation fitted to the event. Its recent-work posts include one of the main booths set up near Montreux, and the Compact booth out at the end of the summer.

How the photo booths work

The homepage walks through the guest's side. A guest stands alone or in a group in front of the booth and starts the shot with a countdown, sees the result on screen and either confirms it or tries again until the picture is right, then prints it instantly and receives it by email if that option is switched on. The digital photos are sent after the event. The FAQ adds that the booth has a touchscreen designed for guests who are not used to this kind of technology, HD image quality, a built-in printer, and can serve as a digital guestbook where friends leave messages.

Details a couple from abroad will want

The FAQ answers several practical questions directly. On duration, the site says that once the booth is installed, it can be used at a fixed rate for the whole event, so there is no hourly meter. On design, simple print designs are handled by MarinoBox, and for more advanced designs the client can make their own from a template. On the hardware, the booths are made in France and distributed by a Swiss partner with more than 80 years of experience in photography; the FAQ calls them robust and stable and says they suit every kind of event, including outdoors. The interface is available in more than 10 languages, which the site presents as a feature for international events.

That language point matters for a wedding with guests from several countries. The site itself is written in French only, so the question to ask is whether the booking and the day-of contact can run in English, even if the booth screen can speak the guests' languages.

Prices and booking

No prices are published. The FAQ says the cost depends on the model and invites couples to get in touch for a free, non-binding quote. Among the reasons the site gives for choosing MarinoBox are responsiveness to last-minute requests, flexibility for each venue and technical need, and transparent pricing: clear services, no hidden costs, a precise quote and simple invoicing. Booking starts from the contact page or a "Réserver ce booth" button on each product.

Marino as photographer

Beyond the booths, Marino Trevisani offers a mobile photo studio: he travels with his studio to take professional portraits in front of custom backdrops, printed on site. For a wedding, that sits somewhere between a booth and a portrait photographer, and could suit a reception where the couple wants proper portraits of guests without a separate photographer.

What past clients say

The homepage carries a long run of client reviews. An event organizer, Vinz Roosso, writes that his team works with MarinoBox regularly and recommends it without hesitation, praising punctual, responsive and very professional service and reliable, easy equipment. A client who used the booth for a daughter's 18th birthday called everything perfect. The Groupe Orllati writes that it uses the service for its diploma ceremonies. Several reviewers mention Marino by name for being available and attentive from start to finish, and a repeat client says he has rented the booth several times, privately and for work.

What the site does not settle

The site does not publish prices, a booking lead time, the space and power each booth needs, or how far beyond French-speaking Switzerland it will travel. The 360° booth comes with a host, but the site does not say whether anyone stays with the Classic or Compact booths during the evening, so ask. The site lists Lausanne, Fribourg and Neuchâtel pages, and a wedding elsewhere should check that delivery is still included.

Who it suits

MarinoBox suits couples marrying in Vaud, Fribourg, Neuchâtel or elsewhere in Romandie who want a booth delivered and installed, a fixed rate for the whole event, and an owner who is a working event photographer. The multilingual booth screen and the 360° video booth with a host make it a practical pick for an international guest list.

It suits less well couples who need a price before they make contact, or who are marrying outside French-speaking Switzerland, where the included logistics may not apply.
