Tap a star to rate

PhotoBooth by unartvisuel rents photo booths that were designed and built in Geneva, for weddings, company evenings, galas and private parties across Geneva, Vaud, Valais, Fribourg and Biel/Bienne, "et au-delà" (and beyond). The pitch is photographic quality: a reflex camera, a large studio flash, a fast printer with unlimited prints, and a second screen that shows a slideshow of the evening's pictures to the room. The service is described as turnkey, with transport and setup handled by the team.

Built in Geneva

The site says its booths were entirely developed and designed in Geneva by a small team of enthusiasts who care about the quality of their work and service. The site's own title calls the business a photographer as well as a booth rental, and one post credits the choice of components to "un photographe exigeant" (a demanding photographer).

The hardware list is specific. Guests see themselves and choose from many options on a 24-inch touchscreen. A second 32-inch screen at the back shows a slideshow of the photos already taken. The picture itself comes from a reflex camera with a large studio flash, driven by a computer and software built to keep up with a high pace of shots, and printed on what the site calls the best and fastest printer on the market, with unlimited high-quality prints.

Built for groups and busy nights

The clearest evidence of what the booth can handle is a 2023 post about a large evening with 1500 staff, described as an institution in Geneva's business life. The post says the booth was not fazed by the high rate of photos, and that the booths are built for demanding situations: not just 2 to 6 people per photo, but more often 10 to 15, with a record of 38 people in one picture at the Youth Olympic Games.

For a wedding, the practical point is group shots. A booth that can frame a whole table or a crowd of cousins in one picture is a different tool from one designed for couples and pairs of friends.

Options

The posts list the add-ons available. Extra flashes can be added for full studio lighting, a logo can be inserted on the photos, the height of the booth can be adjusted, and a green screen can replace the background. The team says its green screen results are excellent and that it is very often requested, for backgrounds such as the Caribbean or the Manhattan skyline taken from free stock photo sites. A video sequence and a print kiosk are also mentioned. For a wedding, the logo option is where a monogram, the couple's names or the date would go.

Photos are delivered both ways: as high-quality digital files for immediate download and as paper prints. The slideshow on the large HD screen, the site says, is an extra attraction for guests.

Turnkey service

The site presents the booth as a "service clef en main à petit prix" (a turnkey service at a small price). Its promise is that the couple does not have to worry about transport, storage, where to place the booth or how to assemble it, since the team handles "tout ou presque" (everything, or almost). The booth can be booked either to complement other entertainment or as the main attraction of the event.

The events listed are weddings, company evenings, seminars, birthdays, bar mitzvahs, team building, exhibitions, product launches, gala evenings and parties among friends. The blog also mentions an event with 2 MonoPod photo booths, so more than one booth can be set up at a large event.

Using it at a wedding

The features the site describes suggest a few ways to get the most out of the booth. The 32-inch slideshow screen only works as an attraction if guests can see it, so it is worth placing the booth where the room can watch the pictures come up, near the bar or the dance floor rather than in a corridor. Because the booth copes with groups of 10 to 15 and more, a planned moment for table-by-table group photos after dinner gives the couple a record of every guest. The green screen invites personal touches: a couple could ask for backgrounds from places that matter to them, supplied as images. And since the logo option puts a design on every print, the wedding monogram or invitation artwork should be sent early.

The site's own tone is confident. It says that anyone looking for quality of service, product, efficiency, professionalism and high-quality photos "n'aurez pas mieux" (won't do better), and that the booths are there to bring guests together and give them moments of joy and good memories. It also says the team is used to large events as much as small ones.

Prices and booking

No prices are published. The pages call the service low-priced but give no figures, and they invite visitors to get in touch to discuss the project. The site is a small blog-style site in French, with posts dated from 2017 to 2023. One post title is written partly in English ("Rent Geneva and CH Region"), but the site does not say whether the team handles bookings in English, so a couple from abroad should ask.

What the site does not settle

The pages do not say whether someone from the team stays with the booth through the evening, how long a rental lasts, how much space and power the booth needs, or whether it can stand outdoors. The word "almost" in "everything, or almost" deserves a question: ask what the couple or the venue is expected to handle. Travel beyond the listed cantons is promised but not priced. There are no client reviews on the pages.

Who it suits

PhotoBooth by unartvisuel suits couples marrying in Geneva or elsewhere in Romandie who care about image quality and want big group shots, a slideshow for the room and the option of a green screen. The large-event record gives some reassurance for a wedding with a long guest list.

It suits less well couples who want a published price and clear terms before making contact, or who need English-language service confirmed in advance. The site is short and has not been updated since 2023, so a quick email to check current availability and pricing is the first step.
