Photobox Memories

Photobox Memories rents photo booths, photo mirrors and a 360-degree video booth from a showroom in Regensdorf, in the canton of Zurich. Weddings are one of the events it names alongside company parties, trade fairs, birthdays, themed parties, openings, anniversaries and promotions, and the core of its pitch is a full-service rental: the team delivers, builds the booth, stays reachable during the party and arranges the pickup with the venue.

The booths on offer

The home page lists six products under the heading of modern technology and professional equipment: the Fotobox LED, a 360 video booth, the Fotospiegel (photo mirror), a Fotobox KI (an AI photo booth), a Beauty Mirror and a Foto Mosaik. The contact form breaks the mirror range down further, so a couple choosing a product picks between the Fotobox LED, the Fotospiegel LED, the Fotospiegel Barock (a baroque-framed mirror), the Fotospiegel Beauty Mirror and the 360 Grad Video booth.

That spread matters at a wedding more than it might seem. A standard LED box is a compact, familiar object that guests understand in a second. A mirror booth is a larger piece of furniture that works as decoration too, and the baroque frame will suit a castle hall or an old manor better than a modern loft. A 360 booth produces short rotating video clips rather than prints, which makes it a different kind of keepsake. The site shows all three families side by side, and couples can ask for the one that fits the room.

Under the heading "Warum wir ?" (why us?), the home page lists what the company says every rental brings:

  • free transport, setup and dismantling
  • a single-lens reflex camera with a studio flash
  • a touchscreen that can be personalized
  • an LED frame whose light can be adjusted individually
  • a free online gallery
  • personalized prints and branding
  • instant download by QR code and e-mail
  • free photo booth gadgets (props)

A reflex camera and studio flash are worth noting, because image quality in a dim reception hall depends on them. Photobox Memories states the camera and flash on its home page, which is the equipment a couple would otherwise have to ask about.

Packages and extras on the booking form

The contact form doubles as the booking request and is the most specific part of the site. It lists three package choices: Digital, 350 Fotoausdruck (350 printed photos) and Druckflatrate (a print flat rate). A digital-only package suits a couple whose guests will share by QR code anyway; the print options suit a party where a guest book of strips is part of the plan. The extras on the same form are a Fotomosaik (a photo mosaic, which assembles the evening's shots into one large picture), a barrier with a red carpet at CHF 20, and gadgets, which are marked free.

The form also asks for the booking date (a required field), the event venue, the product and a discount code, with a comment box for anything else. The site then asks couples to call and reserve their date, and says the details are discussed personally afterwards. Requests are described as non-binding and free of charge.

The service model

The home page describes the premium service in some detail. After agreeing the timing with the couple, the team delivers the booth in good time before guests arrive and does the whole setup. During the event the company says it is reachable at any time to make sure everything runs smoothly. Pickup is organized directly with the venue, so the couple has nothing to return or store. After the event, all photos go to an online gallery that the couple and their guests can open at any time and from anywhere.

For couples abroad, this is the useful part. A booth that has to be collected from Regensdorf in a van and returned the next morning is a job for a friend or a best man who may be flying in from another country. Here the handover runs between the company and the venue, and the gallery removes the need to collect a memory stick. Guests who fly home on the Sunday still get their pictures.

The home page claims 10 years of experience, what it calls the largest selection of photo booths, and prices it describes as unbeatable. It also carries a section of Google reviews and says the team has accompanied numerous company events, trade fairs and weddings.

Where it works and how to reach it

The showroom is at Riedthofstrasse 122, 8105 Regensdorf, in the canton of Zurich. The footer lists rental pages for Zurich, Aargau, Lucerne, Basel, St. Gallen, Thurgau, Zug, Bern, Schwyz and Solothurn. The site gives two phone numbers, +41 76 468 43 46 and +41 44 597 81 22, the address info@photobox-memories.ch and an Instagram handle, photobox_memories_schweiz. A showroom means a couple living in Switzerland can ask for an appointment to see the mirrors before choosing, and the contact page mentions arranging an appointment.

What the site leaves open

The home and contact pages carry no rental prices apart from the red carpet extra. The menu links a separate price list (Preisliste), so couples should read that page or ask for a quote. The site is published in German only, and it says nothing about the languages the team speaks, so couples who do not write German should ask by e-mail whether English is fine for the planning and on the day.

Several practical points are also unstated on the home and contact pages. The site does not give the floor space or power supply each booth needs, which matters most for the mirrors and the 360 platform. It does not say how many hours a rental runs, whether an attendant stays at the booth all evening or is simply reachable by phone, how long the online gallery stays live, or how far the free transport extends beyond the cantons listed in the footer. None of that is a warning sign, but each point belongs in the first e-mail, especially for a venue in the mountains or in French-speaking Switzerland.

Who it suits

Photobox Memories fits a couple marrying in the Zurich region or elsewhere in German-speaking Switzerland who want a choice of booth styles and prefer not to deal with transport themselves. The reflex camera and flash suit an evening reception in a dark hall, the baroque mirror suits a historic venue, and the 360 booth suits a party that will dance. Destination couples benefit most from the venue-direct pickup and the online gallery. The main caveats are the German-only site and the fact that the rental prices sit on a page of their own, so a couple comparing suppliers from abroad will need a quote in writing before deciding.
