Fotobox-rent.ch, which also trades as SnapBox, is a photo booth rental business in Ennetbaden, near Baden in the canton of Aargau. It rents booths for weddings, birthdays, company parties, Christmas dinners and marketing events, says it covers more than 200 events a year, and delivers and sets up in Aargau and in the cantons of Zurich, Basel and Solothurn. Its home page publishes a comparison of four packages with prices starting at CHF 229.
The four packages
The comparison table on the home page lists four packages: Small at CHF 229, Medium at CHF 469, Large at CHF 649 and X-Large at CHF 929, reduced from CHF 1,249. The page says the prices include delivery, setup and support in Aargau, Zurich, Solothurn and Basel.
The same table sets out four equipment configurations:
- a compact setup needing 1.5 x 2.5m, built in 3 to 4 minutes, with a 12-megapixel iPad camera, a light ring and unlimited photos in the cloud;
- a setup needing 2.0 x 3.0m, built in 7 to 9 minutes, with a 22-megapixel Canon EOS 1200D, box LEDs, 200 prints included on a DNP DS-RX 1 HS printer at 15 seconds per print, a props case and optional custom print design;
- a setup needing 2.5 x 3.5m, built in 20 minutes, with a 24.1-megapixel Canon EOS 2000D, additional external lighting, 400 prints included on a DNP DS620 studio printer at 8 seconds per print, a props case, a backdrop and a logo or dedication, with custom print designs included;
- a setup needing 2.5 x 3.5m, built in 30 minutes, with the same Canon EOS 2000D, external lighting and DS620 printer, unlimited prints, a props case, backdrop and logo, plus a red carpet, a large external screen, delivery, a live slideshow and download and more.
The table is laid out across the page, and the package names and prices sit at the top while the configurations follow below, so a couple should confirm with the business which setup comes with the package they are pricing. What is clear is the range: from a compact iPad booth to a full DSLR setup with a studio printer, unlimited prints and a slideshow screen for the guests.
Equipment and sharing
In its longer text the home page says its booths work with DSLR cameras, studio flash and high-quality DNP instant printers, producing sharp images in studio quality either printed on the spot or sent digitally by QR code and an online gallery. It contrasts this with what it calls hobby photo booths built from simple tablets or cases, and says it uses professional event equipment for reliable operation. Guests can have photos sent to their phones by QR code, WhatsApp, SMS or email, or printed on site in seconds.
For weddings specifically, the page highlights elegant layouts, very fast instant printing and digital download by QR code, and says guests take a photo home at once while the couple can put together a personal guest book from the prints. The business says it has more than 1,800 layout designs that it adapts to a wedding theme, a company logo or event branding. For companies, the booth can also collect contact details and send photos by email. The menu also lists an AI photo booth (KI Fotobox) and a photo download page.
How booking works
The home page lists the process: choose the booth and accessories online, pick the date, choose pickup or delivery, then send the request through the contact form. The business sends an individual quote, agrees the layout and branding with the client, delivers and sets up, and finally provides support and takes the booth down. The FAQ adds that after a reservation the client receives a confirmation email with a summary, and the team gets in touch personally within 2 to 3 working days to discuss the details.
On delivery, the FAQ says the booth arrives fully built with an introduction on site. Thanks to locations in Ennetbaden, Baden, Turgi and Bad Zurzach, the business says it can often supply a booth at short notice for events in Baden, Aarau, Wettingen and Brugg. Delivery, pickup and return run Monday to Sunday by arrangement.
The technical requirements are modest, according to the FAQ: a power source and a stable spot. An existing WiFi connection makes sharing by email, QR code or cloud easier but is not always necessary. Special requests that the booking tool cannot handle can be sent directly.
Cancellation and contact
The FAQ states the cancellation terms: free up to one week before the booking, after which a fee of 20% applies, and clients are asked to get in touch so each case can be looked at individually.
The address is Sonnenbergstrasse 8, 5408 Ennetbaden, and the email given is fotobox-rent@gmx.ch. The site's business listing gives the phone number +41 56 229 07 40, and the footer links a WhatsApp contact.
Where it works
The home page links local pages for Aarau, Baden, Bad Zurzach, Brugg, Birmenstorf, Ennetbaden, Lenzburg, Seon, Suhr, Spreitenbach, Turgi, Untersiggenthal, Wohlen and Würenlos. It says the booths are used across Switzerland, most often around Baden and in Aargau, Zurich, Solothurn and Basel. A blog post describes using the booth outdoors in winter, in snow and hard frost, at the Villa Boveri in Baden and at events in Aarau, Geroldswil and Würenlos.
What the site leaves open
The site is in German only and does not say whether the team works in English. The table does not state how many hours each package covers, and the home page does not say whether an attendant stays at the booth all evening or only gives the introduction at setup. It does not explain what the X-Large adds beyond the fourth configuration or what the reduction from CHF 1,249 to CHF 929 depends on. For weddings outside the four named cantons, delivery costs are not given.
Who it suits
Fotobox-rent.ch suits couples marrying in Aargau or around Baden, Zurich, Basel and Solothurn who want to compare prices on the page and have the booth delivered, built and taken away. The spread of packages covers a small party and a large wedding with unlimited prints, a slideshow screen and a red carpet. The published cancellation rule and the delivery by the business make it workable for a couple planning from abroad. The caveats are the German-only site and a comparison table that needs a short email to confirm exactly which equipment comes with which price.
