MEISTER is a Swiss jewelry manufactory that presents itself as the Swiss manufactory for individual pieces of jewelry. Its English homepage says the manufactory has stood for innovation, quality and craftsmanship in wedding rings and jewelry for more than 125 years, and that it is family-run, now in its third generation, led by Christina and Fabian Meister. For couples, MEISTER matters mainly as a wedding-ring maker: its rings are composed by the couple from a set of options and made to order, and they are sold through a network of specialist jewelers across Switzerland as well as MEISTER's own stores.
The wedding-ring system
The wedding-ring page describes MEISTER rings as "an emotional symbol of your lifelong connection" and groups them into four design styles: Classics, Phantastics, Individuals and Symbolics. The heart of the offer is what MEISTER calls the Wedding Ring System: "You determine the profile, precious metal, width and surface, and select the diamonds in the desired size." In the page's words, the MEISTER experts then forge "the rings of your heart" from that composition.
The metals offered are yellow gold, white gold, red or rose gold, platinum and multi-colored combinations. The FAQ adds a buying tip on timing: couples should order their rings from their jeweler three to six months before the wedding date, so that individual wishes can be taken into account, and should measure their ring size several times at different moments to be sure of it.
Metals and alloys
The FAQ explains the alloys in detail. Yellow gold, it says, has a warm color in AU 750 and AU 585, while AU 333 or AU 375 alloys "have a rather pale appearance." For white gold, it says high-quality alloys are available in AU 750 and AU 585, that the proportion of palladium is a decisive quality feature, and that MEISTER only uses alloys with a high proportion of palladium. Red and rose gold are offered in AU 750 and AU 585. Platinum is processed exclusively as PT 950, which the page describes as 950 out of 1,000 parts pure platinum, worked by qualified platinum smiths.
On skin tolerance, the FAQ states that it is important for an alloy to be high quality and nickel-free, and that with MEISTER "this is a matter of course and guaranteed." It also describes PT 950 platinum as ideal for people with sensitive skin. These are the manufacturer's own statements; a couple with a known allergy should raise it with the jeweler.
Diamonds and engravings
Diamonds in cuts such as brilliant, princess or pear are part of the range, and the FAQ notes that the carat weight and the number of diamonds are decisive factors in a ring's price. It says highly trained jewel setters set every diamond by hand.
Engraving is a strong point. The page says MEISTER engraves personal messages into the rings with high precision using laser technology: a partner's fingerprint or hand lines, a signature and date in your own handwriting, a love poem in miniature, or simply names and a date in block letters or script, adding that "there are no limits to your ideas." The FAQ adds symbols, signs, personal dedications and a heart-shaped fingerprint to the list.
Trying on and designing from a distance
Two tools help couples who cannot easily visit a shop. The MEISTER ring measure lets couples determine their ring size at home and feel what a MEISTER ring is like on the hand; the FAQ says it is sent by post free of charge. And the 3D ring boutique is presented as the most modern form of virtual consultation, in which couples can find their rings in four steps. The site also has a Book Appointment button.
Where to buy
MEISTER sells through specialist retailers, and the site's line is that wedding rings are a matter of trust, so couples should visit a MEISTER partner near them for help finding the right rings. The Wedding Ring Weeks page lists the participating retailers by town, from Lausanne, Morges, Fribourg, Vevey and Neuchâtel in the west through Bern, Thun, Visp, Basel, Solothurn, Aarau, Baden, Lucerne, Zug and Chur to Zurich, Winterthur, Schaffhausen, St. Gallen, Rorschach, Buchs, Wil and Wattwil in the east. MEISTER's own outlets on the list are the Meister Store in Lucerne (6003), the Meister Store and Meister 1881 AG in Zurich (8001), and Meister + Co. AG in Wollerau (8832).
The online shop at meisterschmuck.ch delivers only within Switzerland; the site points customers in Austria and Germany to meisterschmuck.at and meisterschmuck.de.
Wedding Ring Weeks
The site advertises Wedding Ring Weeks: a daily prize draw from September 1 to 30, 2026, with five 10% discount vouchers for MEISTER wedding rings raffled each day, and a guaranteed voucher for ring engravings for every participant. Vouchers are redeemable only at the retailer the participant selects. It is a time-limited promotion, but it shows how MEISTER works with its partner jewelers.
What the site leaves open
- Prices. The collection pages can be sorted by price but show no prices. The Wedding Ring Weeks page speaks of a wide and attractive price range; the retailer is the place to get a figure.
- Production time. The FAQ recommends ordering three to six months ahead but gives no fixed production time.
- Retailer languages. The site is in English, but each partner jeweler's languages are not listed.
- Delivery abroad. Swiss delivery only from the .ch shop; couples elsewhere must use another MEISTER site or a Swiss retailer.
Who it suits
MEISTER suits couples who want to compose their own rings from a clear set of choices and have them made in Switzerland, with detailed information on alloys, hand-set diamonds and very flexible engraving. The network of partner jewelers means a couple can try the rings in many Swiss towns, and the free ring measure and 3D ring boutique help those who start planning from a distance.
It suits less well couples who want to buy entirely online from abroad, since the Swiss shop ships only within Switzerland, or couples who need rings in a few weeks, given the manufacturer's own advice to order three to six months ahead.
