Saintscraft
Tap a star to rate
Saintscraft is a Swiss jewelry studio run by Aurelia and Mario that works only in 22K gold and makes every piece to order. For weddings it casts custom ring pairs, including rings formed from natural shapes or personal objects, and it publishes a starting price, a delivery time and a returns policy in English, which makes it easy to plan with from abroad.
Custom wedding rings, cast in gold
The wedding page is headed with the promise of turning a couple's idea into pure gold. The studio says it casts "shapes, thoughts, and meanings directly into pure gold", and that "With our casting technique, almost any idea can be brought to life." It lists examples of what couples have asked for:
- a ring made from a found object, such as a leaf, a branch or a shell;
- wedding rings with a structure taken from natural shapes;
- an object from childhood, reinterpreted in solid gold;
- a simple band, precisely coordinated in thickness and profile.
The design process starts with an online meeting or a phone call. The studio exchanges photos with the couple, draws sketches and produces a 3D visualization before anything is cast. Consultations can be booked online, held by video call or phone, or started with a message on WhatsApp. All of this can happen without a visit, which matters for a couple planning a Swiss wedding from another country.
Prices
The wedding page gives a clear price example: a pair of wedding rings in 22K gold with a custom design starts at CHF 4,500. It adds that prices may vary depending on size and shape, and promises to discuss everything "openly and transparently."
The main collection shows prices too. The rings include the Aureon Ring from CHF 4,300, the Prisma Ring from CHF 3,600, the Solon and Stella rings from CHF 4,900, the Azura Ring from CHF 5,900 and the Monolith Ring from CHF 7,100. Other pieces include the Lira earrings at CHF 1,950, the Braid Chain from CHF 870, the Nova and Aureon pendants from CHF 2,500 and the Arka Necklace from CHF 8,500. For a couple, these give a realistic sense of what 22K gold costs before any custom work.
Why 22K gold
Working only in 22K gold is the studio's defining choice. Its FAQ explains that 22K gold is 92% gold, against 75% for the more common 18K, and says it is "about 20% more expensive than standard 18-karat gold." The studio's case is that the higher-carat gold has more weight, a warmer color and more depth. It also acknowledges the trade-off: 22K is slightly softer and "isn't suitable for thin, hollow shapes", so its pieces are simple, solid forms. Answering whether 22K is too soft for everyday wear, the FAQ notes that many wedding rings in Switzerland used to be made of 22K gold. The studio also writes that scratches and dents are part of a piece's story. A couple who want a delicate pavé band should know that the studio itself says 18K suits pavé diamonds better.
Delivery, sizing, returns and warranty
The ordering section and FAQ are specific:
- Lead time. "Typically 2–3 weeks." Each piece is made individually and then shipped.
- Shipping. Insured, "worldwide and free of charge."
- Ring size. The site suggests ordering a ring sizer online, and for customers in Switzerland or neighboring countries the studio will send its own sizer on request.
- Returns. The returns page says: "Since each piece is made to order, we do not offer refunds." In some cases the studio can arrange an exchange for store credit within 10 days of receipt, if the piece is unworn, unaltered and in its original packaging, and sent back insured with a signature, ideally via FedEx or an equivalent service.
- Warranty. A lifetime warranty on workmanship. Damage from impacts or missing stones is not covered, and the studio recommends insuring jewelry, especially pieces worn every day.
Short lead times and free worldwide shipping make the studio straightforward to use for a couple living outside Switzerland, though the 2–3 week figure applies to the collection; custom wedding rings add a design phase before casting, and the site does not say how long that takes.
Materials and sourcing
The studio says its gold is certified with the Swiss Greengold and Ökogold labels, which it says guarantee the responsible use of resources. It manufactures every piece in Switzerland. On gemstones it writes: "We know the history of our gemstones right down to their origin. We work with small businesses and our higher quality stones are often cut in Switzerland." The footer links to a gemstone certification page.
Customer stories and ring courses
The wedding page carries several customer reviews. One couple write that Mario "quickly understood us" and that the rings exceeded their expectations in design and fit. Two others describe designing and forging their own rings in a wedding ring course with Mario and Therese (spelled Theresa in one review), and one of them made his engagement ring the same way on site. The site does not describe these courses elsewhere, so a couple interested in making their own rings should ask whether and where they are offered.
Language and contact
The site is published in German and English, and the English version covers the collection, the wedding page, the ordering process and the returns policy. Contact is by email at welcome@saintscraft.ch, by phone or WhatsApp on +41 79 640 40 90, or through the online consultation booking. The contact block gives the location only as "Saintscraft · Switzerland", with no street address or town.
What the site leaves open
- Where the studio is. No town or address is published, which matters if a couple wants to visit in person.
- Custom timeline. The 2–3 week lead time is given for ordered pieces; the length of the design phase for a custom wedding pair is not stated.
- Payment and deposits. Collection pieces are paid online; the site does not say how a custom commission is invoiced.
- Ring courses. Mentioned only in reviews, with no dates, prices or location.
Who it suits
Saintscraft suits couples who want heavy, simple wedding rings in high-carat gold, or who have a specific object or natural form they want cast into a ring. The published prices, the English site, remote consultations and free insured worldwide shipping make it a practical choice for couples who live abroad and cannot visit a shop several times before the wedding.
It is less suited to couples who want fine pavé settings, platinum or white metals, since the studio works only in 22K gold. Anyone who wants to meet the makers face to face should ask where the studio is before planning a trip.
