Roselys Cake

Roselys Cake is the cake business of Rosely Menotti, now based at Richtiarkade 10 in Wallisellen, where it took over the bakery goods shop MakeUrCake. It makes wedding and birthday cakes to order, and its wedding page sets out 3 cake styles, a full list of sponges and fillings, and a five-step ordering process.
A recent move
The homepage opens with a notice headed "Wir sind umgezogen!" (we have moved). It says that as of 1 March, Roselyscake took over MakeUrCake GmbH in Wallisellen, which it describes as a well-known specialist shop with a wide range of baking goods, and that the two locations were merged. Roselyscake is now found in the MakeUrCake premises at Richtiarkade 10, 8304 Wallisellen, and the notice is signed "Rosely Menotti und Team". The contact block now reads "Roselyscake c/o MakeUrCake". The notice does not give the year of the move.
For a couple, the practical point is that the address and the shop setting have changed, so directions and meeting arrangements are worth confirming. The notice says the business looks forward to welcoming customers at the new location together with the MakeUrCake team. The site's menu also includes birthday cakes, a gallery of past cakes and a "News & Kurse" page, whose title names courses; its content is not described on the homepage or the wedding page.
Who makes the cakes
The homepage introduces Rosely in the first person as an experienced cake artist (erfahrene Tortenkünstlerin) under the heading "Torten sind meine Leidenschaft" (cakes are my passion). She writes that every cake she creates is unique, handmade and matched to the client's wishes, from flavor to design. Her values are listed as unique creations, 10 years of experience (10 Jahre Erfahrung) and punctual delivery, with the promise that the cake arrives on time and in perfect condition. The wedding page carries her own line: "Hochzeitstorten sind Kunstwerke für den Gaumen und das Auge" (wedding cakes are works of art for the palate and the eye), each telling a story and reflecting the couple's personality.
The 3 wedding cake styles
The wedding page groups its cakes into three styles:
- Glamour Torte. Described as a striking centerpiece; "diese riesigen Torten sind prächtig dekoriert" (these huge cakes are lavishly decorated) and draw every eye. For couples who want to offer their guests something out of the ordinary.
- Luxury Torte. The cake for a stylish and elegant celebration, for couples looking for a crowning finish.
- Elegance Torte. A delicate, harmonious and naturally designed cake, for couples who want to close their celebration with an elegant high point.
The page does not give sizes, tier counts or prices for any of the three.
Flavors, sponges and fillings
The page describes three flavor directions. Chocolate (schokoladig) uses fine chocolate wrapped in ganache or filled with a chocolate cream, finished with fresh berries or decorative flowers. Fruity (fruchtig) uses fresh fruit and fruit purées for a lighter, refreshing cake, and the page notes that fruity cakes are especially popular for summer weddings. Nutty (nussig) uses ground nuts or nut butter and can be finished with fillings such as butter or chocolate creams.
The sponges listed are plain sponge (Biskuit), chocolate, lemon, vanilla, red velvet and green tea. The fillings fall into three groups:
- chocolate: chocolate mousse, chocolate mousse with salted caramel, chocolate mousse with Nutella, chocolate cream
- vanilla: vanilla cream, vanilla mousse, vanilla and strawberry mousse, vanilla and raspberry mousse, vanilla and mango cream
- other: tiramisu, latte macchiato, cappuccino, green tea and lemon mousse
The list is long enough to let a couple arrive at the first meeting with a shortlist.
How an order works
The page sets out five steps. First, a personal consultation (Beratung) to discuss ideas and wishes and agree a concept. Second, planning (Planung), in which Rosely designs a unique cake based on the couple's preferences. Third, preparation (Zubereitung), using only high-quality ingredients and decorated, in her words, "mit viel Fingerspitzengefühl und Liebe zum Detail" (with a great deal of finesse and love of detail). Fourth, delivery or pickup: the finished cake can be collected or, on request, delivered to the venue. Fifth, the celebration itself.
The order form on the page asks for first and last name, email, phone, the type of cake (wedding cake, birthday cake or other) and a message. The phone number +41 44 558 8503 and the email roselyscake@makeurcake.ch appear on every page.
What customers say
Five customer comments appear on both the homepage and the wedding page, in German, and not all are about weddings. Lucia L. writes that Rosely's cake was "das Highlight der Party" and that Rosely "sich Zeit nimmt und versucht auf alle Wüsche einzugehen" (takes time and tries to meet every wish). Corinne G. writes that the cake was exactly as she had wished and that "alle Gäste waren verzaubert davon" (all the guests were enchanted by it). Sandro S. calls each cake "ein kleines Meisterwerk". Taken together they point to a maker who spends time on the consultation.
What the site does not settle
- Prices. No prices are published for any of the styles.
- Sizes. No portion counts, tiers or guest numbers are given.
- Lead time. No ordering deadline is stated.
- Delivery area and cost. Delivery to the venue is offered on request, without a stated area or fee.
- Tasting. No tasting is mentioned.
- Dietary options. Nothing is said about gluten-free, vegan or allergen needs, and the nutty cakes use nuts while one filling uses Nutella.
- Language. The site is in German. It does not say whether consultations can be held in English.
Who it suits
Roselys Cake suits a couple marrying in the Zurich area who wants a designed wedding cake from a maker who lists her flavors openly and builds the design with the couple, and who can choose between a showpiece, a classic elegant cake or a lighter natural style. The published fillings make it easy to plan the taste before the first meeting.
The caveats: no prices, sizes or lead times, a site in German, and a move into new premises. A couple planning from abroad should confirm delivery, language and timing at the first contact.
