A pastry atelier in Gisikon
Sweet-Deco Event Agency is a cake and pastry atelier at Weitblick 3, 6038 Gisikon. Its owner, Svetlana Kalachina, introduces herself on the site as a "Konditormeisterin", a master confectioner, with more than 15 years of experience in designing and making artistic pastries and baked goods, and describes Sweet-Deco as a Swiss confectionery working in Central Switzerland. The site says that from 1 November 2021 the agency offers five services: cakes, desserts and candy bars to order; workshops and seminars for children and adults; themed photo shoots; catering for companies and private clients; and event decoration, with weddings named first.
The site is long and mostly German, with links to English and Russian versions at the top. It publishes a full wedding cake price list, which makes it easy to budget from abroad.
Recognition
Two dated notes near the end of the page mention awards. On 22 June 2023, Svetlana Kalachina won a silver medal at the World Championship for children's cakes and received a certificate from Cake Artist World for pastry decoration; one of the 3D cakes in the portfolio is labeled as her competition entry, "Dinosaurier auf dem Rasen" (dinosaurs on the lawn). On 1 October 2022, the page says, the agency received an award from the Swiss arm of the rating site Restaurant Guru.
The wedding cakes
The portfolio opens with "Hochzeitstorten" under the line "Anspruchsvolle und leckere Hochzeitstorten für Ihr wichtigstes Ereignis" (sophisticated and delicious wedding cakes for your most important event). The gallery holds several dozen wedding cakes, among them small wedding cakes, a heart-shaped cake and one with yellow blossoms. Further sections show "romantische Torten" for anniversaries and christenings, a four-tier cake with different fillings, 3D cakes (a cruise ship, a Swiss airline plane, a chessboard, a Ferrari) and "Schwerkrafttorten", gravity-defying cakes that appear to float. A wedding cake can borrow from any of these styles.
A separate section covers "Zuckerblumen", sugar flowers made from sugar paste, chocolate, wafer or rice paper, and buttercream. That matters to couples who want flowers on the cake without fresh blooms touching it.
Fillings
The "Tortenfüllungen" section lists the fillings by name with their layers. Examples:
- Schwarze Johannisbeere: vanilla chiffon sponge with blackcurrants and quark-cream mousses
- Erdbeer-Himbeer-Paradies: strawberry and raspberry mousse with fresh blueberries and strawberry confit
- Honigtorte: soft honey sponge with sour cream, plums and walnuts
- Orange Milchschokolade: orange chiffon sponge, orange confit and a milk chocolate cream cheese frosting
- Snickers-Torte: chocolate sponge with Belgian cocoa, caramel and peanut cream
- Napoleon: many thin layers of pastry with sour cream
- Milchmädchen: thin layers baked with condensed milk and light cream
- Tropisches Paradies: poppy seed sponge with raspberry and mango confit
The site also lists a "Joghurt mit Erdbeeren" filling made with low-fat yogurt and an "Osterhase" almond filling that the page labels "Glutenfrei" (gluten-free). Any guest with an allergy or intolerance should confirm the recipe with the atelier directly. The filling list can be downloaded from the site.

A sweets table
Sweet-Deco calls its candy bars "Die wahre KUNST des Süßwarenberufs" (the true art of the confectioner's trade): a fully decorated table built around a theme, with cakes, desserts and decorations. The published prices for the smaller items are cake pops from 8 CHF each and cupcakes from 9 CHF each (both a minimum of 12), iced cookies from 8 CHF, chocolate-covered marshmallows on sticks from 5 CHF (minimum 12), meringues on sticks from 7 CHF (minimum 10), macarons from 4 CHF (minimum 15) and zephyr from 4 CHF (minimum 10).
Consultation and ordering
Sweet-Deco offers a paid design consultation: 20 minutes for 50 francs, to discuss taste and design preferences. Orders can be placed online, by phone, by WhatsApp, by email or in person, and the terms say an online order is binding only once the atelier sends a written confirmation by email. The contact form promises a reply within 24 hours.
The published order-handling hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 to 19:00, Saturday 10:00 to 17:00 and Sundays and holidays 11:00 to 16:00, the weekend hours with breaks. Changes to an order can be made up to 48 hours before delivery. Complaints about quality must be reported within 6 hours of delivery.
Payment on collection is by cash, Maestro, Visa, Mastercard, TWINT, TransferWise, Paysend or PayPal; online by card or PayPal; and by invoice on request for a 10 franc fee.
Delivery
The terms list 3 ways to receive an order: collection at the atelier in Gisikon, postal shipping (the site warns that not every product is suitable), and delivery by car, charged at 1 franc per kilometer with a minimum of 50 francs. If you collect the cake yourself, the terms say the atelier's responsibility ends at handover, so for a tall tiered cake the car delivery is worth the fee. The terms also say delivery times are guidelines and that delays from traffic or weather do not give a right to cancel.
What a couple from abroad should know
Language. The site has English and Russian versions linked at the top. It does not state which languages Svetlana works in day to day, so ask in your first message.
Contact. Phone +41 79 632 0567, WhatsApp on the same number, email skalachin@gmail.com, and an online form. The site links a map for directions to the atelier.
Photos. Sweet-Deco also sells photo sessions in its decorated photo zones, from 150 CHF for 30 minutes to 450 CHF for a 2 to 3 hour visit to the client. That is aimed at family events rather than weddings, but it is on offer.
Who it suits
Sweet-Deco suits couples who want a showpiece cake, sculpted, multi-tier or with sugar flowers, and who value a clear price list by portions. Couples marrying in Central Switzerland are closest; for a venue further away, the per-kilometer delivery charge is published, so you can work out the cost with the atelier before you book.
