Suisse Chapiteau
Tap a star to rate
Suisse Chapiteau (written SuisseChapiteau on its own pages) rents tents and marquees for events across Switzerland, together with lighting, furniture, carpeting, decoration and fireworks. It describes itself as "votre partenaire privilégié en Suisse pour la location de tentes et chapiteaux pour tous types d’événements" (your preferred partner in Switzerland for renting tents and marquees for all kinds of events), and names weddings first among the occasions its "solutions sur mesure, élégantes et flexibles" (tailored, elegant and flexible solutions) are meant for, ahead of fairs and sports events.
The product range
The home page lists the main categories:
- Tente stretch, stretch tents
- Chapiteaux, marquees
- Luminaires, lighting
- Tentes & Barnums, tents and gazebo-style structures
- Mobiliers, furniture
- Moquettes, carpeting
- Décoration, decoration
- Feu d'Artifice, fireworks
The about page adds flooring solutions to the list and says the range lets you create a tailor-made event space, whether for a large fair or a more intimate reception. The home page promises that its tents and marquees are carefully selected for superior quality, "fiables, résistants et esthétiquement plaisants" (reliable, sturdy and pleasing to look at). For festivals it mentions spacious gazebos, sturdy marquees and versatile tents, suitable furniture, efficient lighting, hard-wearing floor coverings and stage installations.
For a wedding, the natural combination is a stretch tent or a marquee with carpet or flooring, lighting, furniture and decoration from the same supplier. The fireworks category is unusual for a tent company; if you are interested, ask what the company supplies and what it takes care of.
Service
The company presents two principles on its home page. Under product quality, "Sélection Rigoureuse" (rigorous selection). Under service, personalized listening and adaptability: a tailored service entirely adapted to your needs, and "De la planification à la réalisation de votre événement, notre équipe d'experts vous accompagne à chaque étape pour faire de votre projet une réussite" (from planning to delivery of your event, our team of experts accompanies you at every step to make your project a success).
It also claims a rich experience in event equipment rental and a team of passionate professionals. For festivals, the home page adds that working with SuisseChapiteau gives access to "notre réseau de prestataires fiables et expérimentés" (our network of reliable and experienced providers), ensuring faultless technical and safety management. That sentence sits in the festival section; ask whether the same network is available for a private wedding and what it covers.
The about page invites you to get in touch to discuss your needs and receive expert advice, with specialists to guide you in choosing the best equipment and services.
Long-term rental
A separate page covers long-term rental of marquees, gazebos and tents, aimed mainly at car dealers needing a temporary showroom and companies running extended events. The structures are described as modular, built for optimal weather resistance, in a range of sizes and styles, with options for branding, furniture and specific lighting. The page describes the rental process as simple and efficient, from the first consultation to installation. For a wedding weekend with several events, it shows that longer hire periods are possible. A third section on the home page covers fairs and trade shows, with marquees, tents and gazebos for stands, exhibitions and presentations, modern furniture and advanced lighting systems.
The rental terms
The company publishes its general rental conditions, and a couple should read them before signing:
- The rental period is set in the contract; any extension must be agreed in writing. The rental ends when the equipment is returned, and late return costs extra.
- The company undertakes to deliver and install the equipment on the agreed date and at the agreed place. Special requests and late changes may be charged extra.
- A deposit is required for every rental, varying with the equipment, and returned after inspection minus any damage or loss.
- Missing, broken or damaged equipment is billed at replacement cost plus 20%, and if the deposit is not enough, the client pays the balance.
- The client is responsible for any damage caused by themselves or their guests during the event, declares that they hold valid civil liability insurance, and waives any claim against the company in case of damage.
- The equipment stays the company's property, must be used for its intended purpose and must not be modified; the company is not liable for damage caused by improper use.
- Cancellation fees may apply according to the contract. Prices and payment terms are set in the contract.
- The company is not liable if it cannot perform the contract because of force majeure.
- Swiss law applies to any dispute, and the company may change the conditions for new contracts.
The insurance and damage clauses are the ones to raise at the quote stage, especially for a couple who live abroad: ask how the insurance requirement applies to them.
Contact and language
Contact is through the website form, by email at suissechapiteau@gmail.com, or by the phone number the site gives as 004 13 15 19 01 50. The site does not give a street address or say where the equipment is based.
The pages are written in French, and the header offers English and German language links. Whether the team works in English is not stated, so ask in your first message.
What the site does not settle
- Prices. None are published; they are set in the contract.
- Sizes and capacity. No tent dimensions or guest numbers appear.
- Location and service area. The site speaks of all of Switzerland but gives no base; ask about delivery costs to your site.
- Weddings in practice. A gallery exists, but the pages describe no specific wedding.
- Lead time. No booking lead time is stated.
Who it suits
Suisse Chapiteau suits couples who want a stretch tent or marquee with carpet, lighting, furniture and decoration from one company, anywhere in Switzerland, and who appreciate seeing the rental terms in writing before the first call. The published deposit and damage rules help a couple budget for more than the rental itself.
It suits less well a couple who want prices or tent sizes online, a supplier with a visible address, or an English-first website. The liability and insurance clauses are a real caveat for couples from abroad; settle them before you sign.
