Twist Events is a tent and event furniture rental company at Route des Jeunes 105 A in Grand-Lancy, on the edge of Geneva. It rents, installs and sells reception tents in three ranges (Stretch, Crossover and Silhouette bamboo tents) and rents the furniture, lighting, flooring and accessories to fill them. Weddings are one of the four kinds of event its homepage names, alongside corporate events, private receptions and public events.
The three tent ranges
The company describes its three ranges as chosen to combine good looks with sturdiness for events that want an unusual structure.
Stretch tents. The site says these airy structures are inspired by nomadic dwellings, and presents them as an elegant alternative to a classic marquee. A stretch tent can be modulated to cover up to 1,000 m², is lightweight and insulating, and can be connected to a building. It suits both a one-off event and a seasonal installation. The French page sums it up as "Une touche chic & zen pour vos cocktails!" (a chic and zen touch for your cocktails). For a wedding, the ability to join the tent onto a house, barn or restaurant terrace is the practical point: the building and the tent become one continuous space.
Crossover tents. These are contemporary domes with 4 openings, self-supporting and with clean lines, available in several sizes. The site suggests them for a buffet, a technical control point, a promotional stand or a cocktail reception. At a wedding they work as a bar, a buffet station or a lounge beside a larger tent.
Silhouette bamboo tents. Wooden poles topped with champagne-colored canvas, aimed at events with a rustic or "tendance green" (green trend) feel. The site calls the result a space "aussi chaleureux que prestigieux" (as warm as it is prestigious), mentions the dizzying height of the poles, and offers matching furniture.
All the models are described as suitable for any outdoor space, for short use or all year round. Each installation is carried out by the company's own qualified technicians, according to the homepage, and the site stresses that every project gives a unique layout because of how modular the tents are.
Furniture and equipment
The furniture ranges are grouped by style: wood and Scandinavian furniture for a natural, warm look; a lounge range the site calls timeless and comfortable; industrial furniture inspired by old café counters for a "rétro-indus" feel; illuminated furniture; bars, desks and buffets that are modular, lit and even customizable; and banquet furniture. The banquet section asks the question every couple has to answer: one long "royal" table, or round tables?
The equipment list covers flooring (framed wooden flooring, coir matting and carpet), lighting, accessories (easels, cloakroom, folding screens, lecterns), folding tents for reception or storage areas, freestanding partitions that can become a cloakroom or a photocall backdrop, and ballasting and technical assembly gear.
The English lighting page goes into more detail. It lists LED string lights, wired LED Pars, wireless LED Pars and a crystal chandelier. The wired Pars are waterproof and meant for lighting paths, trees near the tent or the facade of a building. The wireless ones can be placed under a Crossover tent, and the string lights are suggested for hanging in a Silhouette tent. The page's FAQ confirms that the colors of the LED lighting can be customized. On flooring, the same FAQ recommends coir matting for a rustic outdoor family party, a roll-out pathway across a lawn so guests can walk comfortably, and flooring rental for weddings and dance-friendly garden parties.
Rental, long-term rental and sale
Beyond event rental, Twist Events offers long-term rental, which the English page calls "a flexible cost-effective solution", and outright sale. The sales pitch is aimed at "celles et ceux qui souhaitent investir dans une structure durable, esthétique, parfaitement adaptée à leur environnement" (those who want to invest in a durable, attractive structure suited to their surroundings). The homepage is specific about who that is: hotels, restaurants, châteaux and other reception venues wanting to cover a terrace, with stretch tents that can be fixed or put up for a season, a week or a day. That matters to a couple indirectly: a venue in Romandy may already have a Twist tent on its terrace.
Where it works
This is where the site is precise. The team travels throughout Romandy, which the site lists as Geneva, Vaud, Valais, Fribourg, Neuchâtel, Bern and Jura, and to neighboring France, named on the English page as Haute-Savoie and Ain. The footer adds that services are available throughout Switzerland. For a wedding in western Switzerland, or just across the border near Geneva, the company is local; for a venue in eastern Switzerland, the couple should ask what delivery and crew travel cost.
The homepage also offers a site visit ("repérage de site") and personalized advice before the offer, which is useful for a couple who cannot easily judge a lawn or a slope themselves from abroad.
Language and booking
The site is published in French and English, with a language switch on every page, and the English pages cover the tent ranges, the furniture and the equipment. That is a good sign for an English-speaking couple, though the site does not say in which languages the team handles planning and the build on the day. Requests go through a "Request a quote" button, by email to info@twist-events.ch or by phone on +41 (0)76 436 18 00. A downloadable brochure, a motion video and a portfolio gallery are linked from the site.
What the site does not settle
The site publishes no prices, for rental, long-term rental or purchase. It gives no capacities per tent: the only size figure is the 1,000 m² a stretch configuration can reach. It does not describe lead times, cancellation terms, deposits, or whether a technician stays on site during the celebration. Heating is not in the equipment list, so a couple planning an autumn wedding should ask what the company can supply to keep a tent warm.
Who it suits
Twist Events suits a couple in the Geneva and Lake Geneva region, or anywhere in Romandy, who want a tent with a design point of view: a stretch canopy joined to a farmhouse, a bamboo Silhouette tent in an orchard, or a Crossover dome as a cocktail bar. The furniture and lighting ranges make it possible to style the whole space from one supplier. It suits less well a couple who want a classic white marquee at a published price, or a wedding far from its Romandy base, where travel costs will need to be quoted.
