Deko Verleih

Deko Verleih is an online shop for renting party and wedding decoration. It runs on Shopify, lists 26 items, and sends the decoration to the customer's home, with free pickup possible in Gondiswil in the canton of Bern ("Kostenlose abholung in Gondiswil BE möglich"). Its slogan is "Mieten statt Kaufen" (rent instead of buy), and it presents renting as a convenient, sustainable alternative to buying decoration. The occasions it names are weddings, birthdays, baby showers, garden parties and other special events, and it has separate collections for weddings, proposals and engagements.

For a couple, it is a self-service option: pick the pieces online, receive them the day before, set them up yourself (or ask for help), and send them back.

For a proposal, the shop has a complete proposal set and a romantic garden proposal set, and a transparent Bubble House tent (350 x 220 cm, delivered with pump and blower) at CHF 179.00.

The shop does not show prices on every item in its listing, so some have to be checked on the product page or asked for.

Putting a wedding look together

The catalog lends itself to a do-it-yourself package. The golden arches with beige covers can frame a ceremony spot or a photo corner; the balloon-arch frame can carry balloons in the wedding colors; the rattan pieces and the vase set dress the tables; and the column set, which the shop recommends for cakes, can raise the cake and a few arrangements to different heights. A light-up "Better Together" sign fits a reception wall. The balloon-arch page talks about decorating the frame with balloons in your favorite colors but does not say balloons are included, so couples should check before ordering. Flowers are not part of the catalog, so a florist or a do-it-yourself plan is still needed for the vases.

How renting works

Each product page gives the same terms. The goods arrive the day before the chosen event date. The regular rental period is 2 days, and longer periods are available on request. After the event the goods must be returned straight away, otherwise extra costs apply; the page does not say how much.

A refundable deposit is added to each rental. The page for the Bubble House tent shows a deposit of CHF 99.00, refunded in full after undamaged return through the original payment method, such as credit card or TWINT; smaller items carry a deposit of CHF 9.00. Delivery and return run through a pickup service ("Lieferung und Rückversand mit Abholservice"), and the site has a separate shipping page (Versand) for the details.

The product pages also invite requests for other combinations or single pieces from a set, individual offers, or help with setup.

Setup and contact

The contact page addresses the obvious concern for a busy couple: "Hast du keine Zeit für den Aufbau und möchtest dies lieber durch uns machen lassen? Kein Problem." (No time to set up and would rather we did it? No problem.) It says the company then puts together a tailored offer. The contact form asks for a name, email, phone number and comment, and there is a WhatsApp button. The page says replies usually come within 24 hours ("Wir melden uns meistens innerhalb von 24h"). The shop also links to Instagram and Pinterest.

The home page's own line on its approach: "Wir glauben daran, dass jedes Fest eine Kunstform ist, die durch exquisite Details zum Leben erweckt wird" (we believe every celebration is an art form brought to life by exquisite details).

What the site does not settle

• Delivery area and cost. The site mentions home delivery and a shipping page, but the home, product and contact pages do not name a delivery area or fee.
• Setup price. Setup is offered on request, without a published rate.
• Late-return charges. Mentioned, not quantified.
• Language. The shop is in German and addresses customers informally; English is not mentioned.
• Stock and availability. The pages do not say how many of each item exist or how availability for a date is confirmed.
• Company details. The pages show no street address or phone number beyond the pickup location in Gondiswil and the WhatsApp contact.

Who it suits

Deko Verleih suits couples on a moderate budget who are comfortable choosing decoration from photos and setting it up themselves: a backdrop of golden arches, a balloon arch, rattan table pieces or a complete table set for 50 guests, delivered the day before and sent back after. Couples in the region can collect for free in Gondiswil.

It is less suited to couples who want a decorator to design the whole look or who are planning from abroad without anyone local to receive, set up and return the pieces, unless they take up the setup offer. Couples with more than 50 guests should ask how the table sets scale.
