Le Loueur is an event furniture and decoration rental company at Chemin de Prévenoge 2 in Ecublens that rents chairs, tables, lounge furniture, bars, lighting, decoration and glassware for parties, fairs and weddings. Its homepage says it delivers, installs and collects the material wherever the event is, and that it delivers throughout Switzerland.
What the catalog holds
The online catalog is organized by category, and the list is long enough to furnish a whole reception: bars and buffets (Bars et Buffets), sofas (Canapés), chairs (Chaises), high chairs (Chaises hautes), blankets and cushions (Couvertures et Coussins), decorations, shelving (Etagères), armchairs (Fauteuils), end-of-year party items (Fêtes de fin d’année), Feux Magiques, lamps and candles (Lampes et Bougies), poufs and benches (Poufs et banquettes), tables, low tables (Tables basses), high and standing tables (Tables hautes et mange debout), rugs (Tapis), utility items (Utilitaires) and glassware (Verrerie). A separate section lists products for sale.
The featured items on the homepage give a sense of the style: the "Aztèques" cushion, the "Wimbledon" chair, the "Triana" standing table, a printable umbrella photocall backdrop, the white "Kat" high chair, the "Palma" lounge armchair and sofa, and a white LED bar. For a wedding, that range means an aperitif area with standing tables and a lit bar, a lounge corner with sofas and poufs for the evening, and dining chairs for the meal can all come from one supplier.
How ordering works
The homepage lays out the process in four steps, under the heading "Votre Événement en 4 Étapes!" First you prepare the event: decide whether you want to furnish, decorate or simply improve a space. Then you choose your furniture and decoration online, set the quantity you need, and receive a quote. The site works like a shop, with a cart and a wish list, but every product is marked "Prix sur demande" (price on request), so the cart is a way to build a request rather than to pay.
The fourth step is where the advice comes in: "Notre équipe de professionnels est à votre écoute et vous offre un conseil personnalisé et sur mesure." (Our team of professionals listens to you and offers personalized, made-to-measure advice.) The site adds that you can hand over your ideas and the team will point you to the best way to realize them.
Four promises sit under the product list. "Service de livraison premium" says deliveries are made throughout Swiss territory. "Assistance au client" offers a made-to-measure budget "à distance d'un appel ou un mail" (a call or an email away). "Produits de haute qualité" states that the excellence of the material matters to the company. And "Conceptualisation sur mesure" reads "Chaque client est un client unique, nous adaptons nos services à vos besoins." (Every client is a unique client; we adapt our services to your needs.)
Delivery and setup
The line a couple from abroad will care about most is this one: "Nous nous occupons de la livraison, de l’installation, ainsi que de la reprise du matériel, quelque soit le lieu." (We take care of delivery, installation and collection of the material, wherever the location.) Combined with the statement that deliveries cover the whole of Switzerland, this means the company can bring furniture to a venue you have never visited and take it away afterward. The site does not say what delivery to a distant venue costs, so that belongs in the quote request.
Weddings in the inspiration gallery
The site has an Inspirations section with theme ideas for decoration and events. Three are weddings: Mariage bohème, Mariage indus (industrial) and Mariage romantique. The others include Retour à la Nature, Light up the darkness, Au bord de la mer, Soirée au chalet, Un hiver enchanté, Pic-Nique au bord du lac, Au Parc des Eaux-Vives, Conférences tout en confort and Bonmont Tennis Master. They are presented as inspiration, not as packages, but they show the looks the company has put together, and a couple can name one as a starting point in their request.
What clients wrote
The homepage prints seven testimonials, in French and signed with initials. Two are clearly from weddings. R&W write that the day will stay engraved in their memories forever, "un mariage de princes" (a wedding fit for princes), and thank the team for all the heart they put into it. CB writes that the tables were perfect and that setup and dismantling went as planned, and thanks the company for contributing, through its reliability and the quality of the material, to the wedding of their eldest daughter going perfectly.
Others are practical. SB writes that the chairs and high tables were perfect, "Merci de m’avoir conseillé d’en prendre 4 c’était l’idéal" (thank you for advising me to take 4, it was ideal), and that the man who delivered the furniture was very kind and helped them. SG, writing about a company dinner, thanks the team for good advice on the rental and calls the staff very efficient and pleasant. MC, MK and MA praise the team and the result.
Contact and language
The contact details are +41 21 633 79 79, info@leloueur.ch and the Ecublens address. The footer links to the general rental conditions (Conditions générales de location) and a FAQ, and the copyright line names Public Privé Evénementiel. The website is in French and the testimonials show a French-speaking clientele. It does not say whether the team works in English or German, so couples should ask in their first email.
What the site does not publish
There are no prices on the homepage: every item is "Prix sur demande." The homepage does not state a minimum order, a lead time, a deposit, or how damage and cancellation are handled, though the rental conditions and the FAQ, linked in the footer, are the place to check. It does not say whether the delivery team also arranges and styles the room or only sets up the pieces, so ask how much styling is included.
Who it suits
Le Loueur suits a couple who wants the reception to look designed: lounge seating for the evening, a bar and standing tables for the aperitif, lamps and candles, and furniture chosen from a catalog with named pieces. The three wedding themes in the gallery (bohemian, industrial and romantic) give a quick way to describe the look you want. Delivery, installation and collection anywhere in Switzerland make it practical for a couple who cannot be on site beforehand.
It is less suited to couples who want to compare prices online before asking for a quote, and couples who need to work in English should confirm that early, since the site is French only.
