What it is

Ekip Event is an event-equipment rental brand of Ekip & Co Suisse Sàrl, which the site describes as part of the Trucker Group. It has two addresses: its Léman base at Zone Industrielle Le Trési 9B, 1028 Préverenges, on Lake Geneva near Lausanne, and a Zurich address at Thurgauerstrasse 132, 8152 Opfikon. It rents furniture, tents and stages, decoration and technical equipment for weddings, company receptions, birthdays and private parties, and it delivers and installs.

The home page opens with "Donnons de la vie" (let's bring it to life) and calls the company "votre partenaire privilégié pour la location de matériel pour tous vos événements" (your preferred partner for renting equipment for all your events). Its team of experts, the page says, will help choose equipment suited to the event's theme and budget, and it promises "une livraison rapide et une installation soignée" (fast delivery and careful installation). The website is in French.

What a wedding couple can rent

The home page names weddings first among its events: whether a romantic wedding, an elegant company reception, a festive birthday or a family party, it says it provides everything needed to create the atmosphere. The catalog has four categories:

• Mobilier (furniture): tables, chairs, benches, bars and illuminated furniture for receptions, conferences and cocktails.
• Tentes, podium, sécurité: elegant tents, sturdy stages, safety barriers and fixings, indoors and outdoors.
• Décoration: outdoor lamps, garlands, covers, tablecloths, glasses and vases.
• Matériel technique: sound packs, lighting, video and special effects such as smoke and confetti.

The site announces new equipment "disponible fin 2026" (available at the end of 2026): an LED screen of up to 50 m², tents of adjustable length and a 25 m² LED dance floor. How booking works

2. Devis sous 24h: a tailored quote within 24 hours at most.

The rental terms

The site publishes its general rental conditions, which spell out how a booking works:

• Reservations are made in writing, by email or through the website, and a deposit of 20 to 50% of the total confirms the booking.
• The quote, once accepted, serves as the rental contract and sets the rental period. Any extension has to be agreed in writing and may cost extra. Delivery and installation costs are stated in the quote.
• The renter must make sure the site is accessible for delivery and return the goods in the same condition, apart from normal wear.
• Under the terms, the renter is responsible for damage, loss or theft during the rental, must insure the goods against all risks for the rental period, and must report any malfunction or damage straight away.
• The balance is due no later than 5 days before delivery, payable by card, bank transfer, TWINT or cash.
• Cancellation by the renter: more than 60 days before, the deposit is refunded less CHF 200 administrative costs; 60 to 20 days before, the deposit is lost; 20 to 5 days before, 50% of the rental is due; less than 5 days before, the full amount is due. Payment-platform fees are deducted from any refund.
• If Ekip Event cancels, it first offers a replacement (equivalent equipment, another date or a substitute supplier); if the renter refuses, it refunds everything within 15 days.
• The terms release both sides in case of force majeure, and the company reserves the right to change the conditions, with changes taking effect when published.
• Disputes go to the courts of Lausanne under Swiss law, according to the terms.

For a couple, the key points are the deposit, the balance 5 days ahead, and the insurance clause, which is worth raising with the venue or an insurer before signing.

• Setup scope. The terms say the company helps with installation and dismantling where agreed; exactly what is included is in each quote.

Who it suits

Ekip Event suits couples marrying around Lake Geneva, or near its Zurich base, who want one supplier for furniture, tents, decor and sound and light, a quick quote and delivery with installation. The published rental terms make the obligations clear before signing, which helps a couple planning from abroad. The contact form's timing options, running from within 30 days to more than a year ahead, show that the company takes short-notice requests as well as bookings made far in advance, and the 24-hour quote promise keeps the back-and-forth short.

It is less suited to couples who need to handle everything in English, or who want a designer to style the wedding rather than a rental company that supplies and installs equipment.
