Hussenzauber
Tap a star to rate
Hussenzauber is a rental business at Dorfstrasse 21 in Diessbach bei Büren that hires out chair covers and the furniture and table dressing around them for weddings, ceremonies and company events. The range runs from covers and chiffon sashes to Crossback wooden chairs, banquet tables, tablecloths, napkins, charger plates and cutlery, and reviews on the homepage describe the company delivering to the venue and collecting afterward.
What you can rent
The menu sets out the rental range in seven groups:
- Stuhlhussen (chair covers)
- Schleifen & Stuhlschleifen Chiffon (bows and chiffon chair sashes)
- Festbank- & Hussen (festival benches and their covers)
- Tische und Stühle (tables and chairs)
- Tischtücher & Servietten (tablecloths and napkins)
- Platzteller & Besteck (charger plates and cutlery)
- Dekorationselemente (decorative elements)
The page title adds Crossback chairs, banquet chairs, banquet tables and standing tables to that list. The menu also lists a Hussenzauber Katalog 2026, a gallery of pictures and impressions, an About page and the general terms and conditions (Allgemeine Geschäftsbedingungen). The headline promises covers, chairs, tables and much more "günstig mieten für Ihr Fest" (to rent at a good price for your party).
Why chair covers
The homepage makes the case for its core product plainly. Next to the classic decoration of the bridal table with a nice backdrop, it says, chair covers are among the most important elements for properly dressing a venue. In its own words: "Mit Stuhlhussen sehen Tische eleganter und Stühle einladender aus. Die Hochzeitsdeko bekommt mehr Glanz und der Saal wirkt heller und stilvoller." (With chair covers, tables look more elegant and chairs more inviting. The wedding decoration gains more shine and the hall looks brighter and more stylish.)
To prove the point there is a before-and-after photo with a slider, so you can see a room with bare chairs and the same room dressed. For a couple whose reception is in a village hall, a hotel function room or any venue with plain stacking chairs, that comparison is the clearest answer to whether covers are worth the money.
The offer is split into three galleries: covers for weddings, covers for company events and covers for wedding ceremonies (Trauungen). The ceremony gallery is a useful reminder that the same service can dress the rows of chairs for an outdoor or civil ceremony as well as the dinner.
What couples say
The homepage shows Google reviews, with a count of 26, and most of those printed are from weddings. They repeat a few points.
Delivery and collection are handled by the company. Tamara Spycher-Jungo writes: "Die Lieferung und Abholung hat Hussenzauber direkt mit der Location selber organisiert was uns sehr entgegen kam." (Hussenzauber organized delivery and collection directly with the venue, which suited us very well.) She also notes that contact ran smoothly by email with good advice on the range, which is exactly the working pattern a couple abroad needs. Bianca M., who rented Crossback wooden chairs, says delivery and collection of the chairs worked perfectly.
A named contact comes up again and again. Three reviews mention Frau Maurer. Mimi B. writes: "Die freundliche und angenehme Kommunikation mit Frau Maurer hat den Kontakt besonders angenehm gestaltet." (The friendly and pleasant communication with Ms. Maurer made the contact especially pleasant.) She adds the covers contributed significantly to how beautiful the wedding was. Roger Meier credits her with making the atmosphere match what the couple had imagined.
The effect on the room is the third theme. Tobias Meyer writes that the couple was surprised how positively the covers changed the look of the venue, and that the service on the wedding day was even better than the advice beforehand. Joelle Stern says she did not have to worry about anything, and that the covers and bows "hat den ganzen Raum mit eleganz verzaubert" (enchanted the whole room with elegance). Nils Charmillot says the Crossback chairs fitted the couple's decoration concept. One non-wedding review, from Philip Bühler, describes a working relationship of several years and "den unglaublich zuverlässigen Service" (the incredibly reliable service).
The footer also carries a badge saying the business is recommended by the Wedding Award.
Meeting them before you book
The homepage invites visitors to its stand at the wedding fair in Bern: "Besuchen Sie uns an unserem Stand an der Hochzeitsmesse in Bern." For a couple who lives in Switzerland, or who can time a visit, seeing the covers, sash colors and chairs at the fair is easier than choosing from photos. The page does not give the fair's dates.
Contact and booking
Booking runs through an inquiry and order page (Anfrage / Bestellung). The phone number is 032 351 02 44, and the footer shows an info address at the company's own domain, written backwards to deter spam. The site also links to Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
The website is in German. It does not say whether the team works in English, but the reviews show that the whole process, from advice to delivery arrangements, can run by email, which makes it easier to use a translation tool on both sides if needed.
What the homepage does not settle
The homepage publishes no rental rates, no delivery charges and no minimum order. It also does not define a delivery area. The page title names Bern, Thun, Zurich, Basel, Geneva and Fribourg, but a list of towns in a page title is not a statement about where the company delivers, so ask about your venue and what transport to it costs.
Other points to settle: whether covers come in sizes for the venue's own chairs (the fit of a chair cover depends on the chair), how many colors of sash are in stock for your date, whether the team puts the covers on or leaves that to the venue, and what the general terms say about damage, stains and cancellation. The terms are published on the site, so a couple can read them before signing.
Who it suits
Hussenzauber suits a couple whose venue has functional chairs and tables and who wants the room to look finished without buying anything: covers and sashes to transform plain chairs, Crossback chairs for a more rustic look, and linen, chargers and cutlery to complete the tables. The reviews show that delivery and collection are arranged directly with the venue and that the planning can be done by email, which suits couples planning from abroad.
It is less relevant for a venue that already has attractive chairs and good table linen, and couples far from the Bern area should confirm delivery before they plan around it. The German-only website and the absence of published prices mean a first email with the venue, date and guest count is the practical starting point.
