Floristik & Eventdekor
Tap a star to rate
Floristik & Eventdekor is a wedding and event decoration business run by Tatjana Zwahlen from Birchwiesstrasse 31 in 8114 Dänikon. It decorates wedding venues, churches and aperitif locations with its own decorations and flowers, sells fixed wedding packages from CHF 2,000 for 50 people, and lets couples who prefer to choose item by item put together their own selection from a list.
What the business offers
Wedding decoration is the lead item on the homepage, but the menu shows a slightly wider business: separate sections for wedding decoration (Hochzeitsdeko), floristry (Floristik), party decoration (Partydeko), packages (Pakete), an online quote (Online Offerte), a shop, a partner page and contact. The homepage says the company holds a broad range of decorations and flowers for every kind of festive occasion, and that it regularly updates its decorations to keep its standards current, which it presents as its quality guarantee.
The pitch to couples is about control over the decoration budget. The homepage explains that the complete wedding packages, named Premium, Exklusiv and Budget, keep the decoration spend in hand, and that the alternative is to assemble your own wish configuration from the company's selection list. A third tile, labeled Individuell, sits next to the packages for couples who want something built for them. In the site's own words, you can "Ihre Wunschkonfiguration anhand unserer Auswahlliste ganz einfach selber zusammen" stellen (simply put together your own configuration from our selection list).
Packages and the one published price
The package tile carries the only price on the homepage: "50 Personen ab CHF 2'000.-" (50 people from CHF 2,000). The homepage says to click the image for details, and the details sit on the separate Pakete page, so the contents of Premium, Exklusiv and Budget are not spelled out on the front page. What the figure does give a couple is an entry point. Decoration for a wedding of 50 guests starts at CHF 2,000, and a couple can use that as the floor when they set their budget, then get the real number from a quote.
The Online Offerte section is the route to that quote. Its details are on its own page, but its presence in the menu means a couple abroad can start the process in writing rather than by phone. For anything beyond the lists, the site offers a personal meeting: "vereinbaren Sie einfach einen kostenlosen Beratungstermin mit uns" (simply arrange a free consultation appointment with us). The consultation is free, which lowers the cost of finding out whether the style fits.
What the reviews show
The homepage prints three five-star wedding reviews, each tagged with its date and venue, and they are the most useful material on the site because they say where the business has actually worked.
The first, dated 12 October 2024, is from a wedding at the Stadtsaal Schluefweg in Kloten. The couple had given Tatjana both the hall and the church to decorate, for a larger wedding of 400 people, and wrote that everything arrived at the right time. They praised the team for staying open to new ideas up to the last moment, for always being reachable, and for implementing their wishes "gut und preiswert" (well and at a fair price). They also name "Tatjana und ihr tolles Team" (Tatjana and her great team), so this is more than a one-person operation, although the site does not say how large the team is.
The second, dated 16 August 2024, is from the Traumgarten in Thalwil. The couple credits Tatjana with "ein super Organisationstalent" (a great talent for organization) and says she organized everything from the planning to the day itself, and that the time and money they put in were worth it.
The third, dated 27 April 2024, is the one to read if your wedding is spread out. The couple had three large locations, a church, an aperitif and a hotel, at Schwägalp and in Urnäsch, with the Hotel Säntis on Schwägalp as the main venue. They write that all three were decorated punctually and exactly as discussed, down to the smallest detail, and that they had nothing left to worry about on the day. They also describe the first planning meeting as the point where they discovered how much was possible.
Taken together the reviews show a business that has worked at a city hall, a garden venue and a hotel, and that takes on weddings with more than one location. The homepage also states 100% customer satisfaction.
Contact and practical details
Contact is straightforward and all of it is on the homepage: the mobile number +41 76 588 94 13 and the email address tatjana@floristik-eventdekor.ch, plus links to Facebook and Instagram. Because there is an email address and an online quote section, a couple living abroad does not have to phone to get started.
The site is written in German only, and it says nothing about which languages Tatjana works in. Couples who do not read German should write in English and see how the reply comes back before relying on a long email exchange about fine details.
The site does not say how far the business travels. The reviews place its work in Kloten, Thalwil and at Schwägalp, but whether it will decorate a venue in western Switzerland or the Alps is a question for the first email. Delivery, setup and removal are not described as separate services on the homepage either, although the reviews make clear that the team decorated each location itself on the day.
What to ask before booking
The homepage leaves several things for the conversation. It does not list what each package contains, so ask for the Premium, Exklusiv and Budget contents in writing and how they scale beyond 50 guests. It does not say whether the flowers are fresh, dried or artificial, or whether the floristry section supplies bouquets and buttonholes as well as table and room decoration. It publishes no booking lead time, no deposit rules and no cancellation terms. Nor does it say whether decorations are rented and collected after the wedding or sold, a point worth settling if the shop section suggests some items can be bought outright.
For a wedding at more than one location, ask how the timing works when the church, the aperitif and the reception are in different places, since the reviews show the team has done it but the site does not describe how.
Who it suits
Floristik & Eventdekor suits a couple getting married in or around Zurich who wants one business to handle the decoration of the church, the aperitif and the reception, and who likes the idea of a fixed package with a known starting price. The free consultation and the build-your-own list make it workable for modest budgets as well as for large weddings like the 400-guest celebration in Kloten.
It is a harder fit for a couple who cannot communicate in German at all, since nothing on the site is in English, and for anyone who wants to compare full package contents online before making contact. The reviews are strong and specific, but three reviews on a homepage are a small sample, so it is worth asking for photos of past weddings at a venue similar to yours.
