Fräulein Paradiso

Fräulein Paradiso is a wedding and event design studio in Zurich run by Irina, who founded it in 2019. She develops one design concept for a wedding and carries it through the table setting, the floral design and the stationery, then handles the complete setup, styling and breakdown on the day, in a church, outdoors or in a restaurant.

One concept for the whole day

The homepage describes the offer in three words under the name: Wedding & Event Design, Konzept, Umsetzung (concept and execution). Irina writes that she specializes in made-to-measure wedding and event designs matched to the couple's personal style, and that the work runs from the creative concept through the floral decoration to personalized stationery.

Her own image for how this works is a thread: "Mein Designkonzept zieht sich wie ein roter Faden durch den ganzen Tag" (my design concept runs through the whole day like a common thread), so that everything fits together into one harmonious picture. For a couple, the practical meaning is that one person makes the visual decisions, instead of a florist, a stationer and a decorator each interpreting a brief separately.

The styles she names range widely. The homepage lists a romantic, playful feel, loud colors, classic charm and a luxurious modern touch, and says she designs to whichever the couple prefers. There is no single house look on the page, which suits couples who arrive with their own ideas. The opening paragraph is aimed at exactly them: it asks whether you have already found your venue and have first ideas for how the wedding should look, and invites you to work on the vision together.

The three services

The services section splits the work into three parts.

Setting is the overall design concept. Irina writes that she develops a holistic concept that connects every element, from the location through the table setting to the ceremony, into one coherent picture.

Floral design (Florales Design) is conceived by her and matched to the wedding concept. The page does not say whether she makes the arrangements herself or works with a florist on them. Her recommendations list does include one florist, Blütenduett, so it is worth asking who will actually produce the bouquets and table flowers.

Stationery (Papeterie) is designed individually to fit the overall concept, from the invitation to the small details on the wedding day itself. The page does not list specific items, so ask what the stationery package covers and whether printing is included.

Setup on the day

The line most useful to a couple from abroad is this one: "Ich übernehme den kompletten Auf- und Abbau sowie das Styling der Elemente an deinem besonderen Tag" (I take over the complete setup and breakdown as well as the styling of the elements on your special day). She names three kinds of setting for this: a church, outdoors in nature, or a restaurant. A couple planning from another country, who cannot be at the venue the day before to lay tables and hang decorations, needs exactly this, and it means the person who designed the concept is the one putting it in place.

Background and network

In the About section Irina writes that her feeling for trends comes from many years at the Swiss fashion magazines Bolero and Style, where she also organized special events. Over the years she built a network of experts she works with closely. She founded Fräulein Paradiso in 2019 out of the conviction that every celebration should be unique and personal.

Her work is not limited to styling. She writes that she organizes weddings, birthday parties and anniversaries to the client's wishes, from choosing a suitable location to the flower decoration and the overall concept. For couples who have not yet found a venue, she names choosing the location as part of that work, though the page does not describe how it is priced or run.

The homepage closes with a list of suppliers she recommends: five photographers (Valeria Diaz Photography, Trice Gantner Photography, André Schmid Photography, Lety Photography and Angelika Dupuis Photography), two wedding speakers (Simone Gori of lovely words and Sabrina Sorci of Wortgeflitter), the florist duo Luzia & Anna of Blütenduett, Chantal Hofmann Design for stationery and Pan de Miel for cake. For a couple assembling a team from abroad, a list from someone who works with these people is a useful starting point.

What one couple wrote

The page carries one review, from Nadia & Carlo, whose wedding she decorated the previous September. They describe her as working "sehr professionell und zuverlässig" (very professionally and reliably), say she "geht auf alle Wünsche und Spezialwünsche ein" (responds to every wish and special request) and has "einen wunderbaren Sinn und Blick für Details und Ästhetik" (a wonderful sense and eye for detail and aesthetics). Their two locations, a church and a party venue, were both decorated by her. The menu also has Portfolio and press sections, and an Instagram feed is embedded on the homepage, so there is more to look at than one review.

Prices, contact and language

Prices are not published. The pricing section says in full: "Die Preise sind so individuell wie Deine Feier und werden nach Deinen Wünschen gestaltet. Gerne erstelle ich eine unverbindliche Offerte." (Prices are as individual as your celebration and are shaped by your wishes. I am happy to prepare a non-binding quote.) There is a contact form, the email address fraeuleinparadiso@mail.ch and the phone number +41 76 329 63 33. After a form inquiry the site promises a reply within 48 hours.

The whole site is in German and mostly uses the informal du. It does not say whether Irina works in English, so write in English and see how she answers. The site also gives no street address or service area beyond Zurich in the page title, so for a wedding in the mountains or in western Switzerland, ask whether she travels and how travel is charged.

Things to settle before booking

Several points are open on the page. There are no packages, so you will not know the cost until you have described the wedding. Rental versus purchase is not addressed: whether the decorative elements are hired and taken away at breakdown or bought is worth clarifying. Lead time, deposit and cancellation terms are not stated, nor is the maximum size of wedding she takes on.

Who it suits

Fräulein Paradiso suits a couple who wants one designer to own the look of the day, including the stationery, and who values setup and breakdown being handled by the same person. It is a good fit for couples who already have a venue in the Zurich area and a rough idea of style, and for those who would use her supplier list to fill the rest of the team.

It is less suited to couples who want to compare fixed packages before making contact, or who need to plan entirely in English without first checking that this works. With only one review on the page, looking through the portfolio before the first call is a sensible step.
